Story
Philly Jenkins Rescue is a 501(c)(3) San Francisco-based Cat Rescue founded in 2024. It is dedicated to rescuing cats needing high-risk medical aid and helping cats facing euthanasia find loving homes. Philly Jenkins Rescue will provide a medical history; each adoption will include microchipping. All cats will undergo spaying or neutering before being placed in their new home. Cats that have not been spayed are available for pre-adoption. Email: PhillyJenkinsRescue@PhillyJenkinsRescue.Org Please include the Cat’s name in the subject line and your phone number.  Adoption Status: Available for Adoption Estimated Birthdate: 2022 In early 2023, a resident in Central Valley, California, observed a feral cat known as Mom Cat with a litter of kittens; however, the kittens disappeared. Several months later, Mom Cat gave birth to another litter in the resident’s backyard, prompting contact with our Founder prior to the establishment of Philly Jenkins Rescue. When the kittens reached an appropriate age, our Founder traveled to Central Valley to rescue. Four kittens were successfully rescued and have since been placed in forever homes. In January 2024, Mom Cat was rescued along with two of her kittens from her third litter as well as her mate, Mr. Jenkins, who our founder a rescued and adopted in January 2024. Learn more about the Jenkins Family in our other posts. About Mom Cat Mom Cat was extremely feral cat when rescued. Mom Cat does well with small breed dogs ( not yet introduced to large breeds). Mom Cat has experience with teens 14 and over. Prefers not to be picked up and inciates pets at her leisure. She enjoys quiet environments and would make a single house companion. Dislikes: No Environments with elevated noise levels or significant foot traffic. Mom Cat would benefit from an owner who possesses experience in managing timid cats or those that require a patient approach to acclimatize effectively. All medical documentation is provided with adoption. Health: Philly Jenkins Rescue has provided a comprehensive range of medical care for Mom Cat: Spaying, microchipping, flea treatment, and blood testing,FIV testing (yielding a negative result), deworming, dental examinations, parasitology testing and ear cleaning Home Requirements: The household does not include small children, operates as a single-cat environment, and is conducive to a calm atmosphere. Story
Zorro and Zalen are brothers, and they are devoted to each other. They are both grey and white and are a playful, lovable pair. Both are really sweet and affectionate. They get along well with other kittens and adult cats. Zorro is a fluffy patchwork kitten with a white collar, muzzle, and paws. His fur is slightly longer than his brother’s, and he loves to have it brushed. Of the two, Zorro is the more outgoing kitten. He is a great playmate. He and his brother are happy to run up and down the hallway, chasing a laser pointer or a ball. Both are good climbers and enjoy a large cat tree. Our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7. Young kittens must go home in pairs, or to a home with another cat. Infrequently we will make exceptions. We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! Story
I’ve had this cat since he was a kitten. Born on New Year’s Eve of 2023 he’s such a loving and relaxed cat. He is an inside cat, but I’ve taken him outside a few times. He literally gets along with everyone that walks in my door. I’ve had them around dogs since he was a kitten, so he is comfortable when introduced properly. I am extremely sad to let him go. He deserves a better situation than I can give him. I’m looking for someone who has more time for him. Please only inquire if you’re ready to love and take care of him. Thank you.

Mr. Is such a sweet boy that has so much love inside of him. He is a very gentle cat that loves to cuddle, belly rubs and doesn’t mind getting his nails clipped. He loves attention and he loves to eat. He also enjoys toys from time to time, but much rather the attention. He will come fully equipped with everything you’ll need to make the transition easy.

Story
Meet Marley, an adorable and sweet 2-year-old indoor cat with a big heart! Rescued from a shelter, he's become a lovable and affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling on the couch and purring happily. Marley loves playtime, especially chasing feathers on strings, and although he's a bit skittish around new people, his confidence has grown tremendously this past year. He warms up quickly once he's fed and feels comfortable and becomes a really nice lap cat. Marley is healthy, fully potty-trained, and well-behaved, though his curiosity sometimes leads him to explore leftovers or the garbage. He's gentle, non-aggressive, and friendly with other cats, even though our older cat hasn't been receptive to him. We're looking for a loving home where Marley can continue to thrive and share his playful energy and affectionate nature!

Story
Rhiannon (aka Rhi-Rhi aka Little Lion) is a special cat looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. She loves to give gentle face sniffs, get a good brushing, and of course receive some good chin and ear scratches. Her two absolute favorite things in the world are lounging in afternoon sunny spots and her crinkled paper ball. Rhiannon spends most of the day dozing, but as soon as she hears the rustle of her paper ball she is at the ready to play a very slow game of fetch. She truly carries one of her many crinkled balls with her everywhere she goes and back to her bed before snuggling up to nap again. She also loves to stand on her hind-legs at the window and chirp at the birds! While Rhiannon still has a playful side, she is arthritic and a bit wobbly when she moves around. She takes 3 medications daily mixed into wet food (no fuss). She would do best in a home without other pets or very young children. (She has lived with another cat successfully while in the shelter, but she has not befriended her foster’s cats.) She’s made great progress in her foster home, opening up to receiving pets and being brushed, but she can still startle easily. She would benefit from living with someone who can read cat body language well and provide her space when requested. She will do best in a calm home with children.over 10 years old. Yourtube video playing fetch: https://youtu.be/-paUD1sGXn8 Rhiannon is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and is microchipped.

Story
MODESTO, CA:  Astrid is an adorable and talkative kitty who was rescued after being abandoned in a ranch area.  She is very affectionate, enjoys bonding with her foster parents, and absolutely loves pets, cuddles and human attention.  It doesn’t matter where you go, Astrid will always find you to get her daily dose of pets and kisses in exchange for biscuits and purrs!   Astrid was born on approximately April 22, 2024.  She has a gorgeous coat, fluffy tail, and we think she somewhat resembles an Abyssinian or Somali cat.  She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots.  Astrid is good with kids but would prefer to be the only cat in your household.  If you’re looking for a single cat, Astrid just might be the perfect addition to your family!   This is a Courtesy Post, and Astrid is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at info@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Visit their website at https://catnetworkofstanislaus.org/   Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.  January 5, 2025, 7:05 pm

Story
CASTRO VALLEY, CA -- Floof Needs a Foster or Adopter Needed ASAP! Hello, my name is FLOOF (CP). Did you know that the word “floof” means “an affectionate term for an animal with soft, fluffy fur”? Really, it’s in the dictionary — and describes me to a T! As you can see, I have gorgeous white fur with black highlights and a black tail. Quite dashing, don’t you think? I'm as affectionate as I am handsome. I will curl around your ankles and insist that you pet me. When you do, I will melt into a puddle of warm fur and offer a champion-level purr that I’ve been told sounds like a motor boat. I also might give you an affectionate head bonk or nuzzle your hand before climbing into your lap and again serenading you with my purr. So, yeah, I”m into the affection thing. My rescuers think I was probably abandoned or got lost, so now I am making up for lost time by getting all the love I can! I am still quite young — born in June 2024 — and had to be taught to play, but now I just love it! With my love for people, I would do best as the only pet in the home or maybe with a mellow older cat as a companion. No dogs or children, please. I have been neutered and will be microchipped and up to date on my shots prior to adoption. This is a Courtesy Post, and Floof is with Angus & Friends Cat Rescue. For more information, please text Deborah MacDonald at 510-909-4961 or contact her via email at angusnfriends@outlook.com. Angus & Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue organization in Alameda County, CA.  Visit their website at https://angusandfriendscatrescue.com/. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.March 6, 2025, 1:42 pm
