Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jolene, lovingly referred to as Jo, was owned and loved deeply by her owner, but they unfortunately could no longer care for her, so she is in need of a new, loving home! She is an adventurous, active girl with a curious mind. She is a girl who can be with other cats, but she does not interact with them. She is usually the outcast in their lounging together. She sits by herself on a shelf or bed and gazes at her surroundings. She was owned prior to coming to Catsnap and it seems to be she misses solitary time with her owner so we would think she would do well as the only cat.   She needs a laid-back, quiet home and enjoys her treats. If she was a human, describing her would be easy: assertive, confident, bold, decisive and even authoritative. She would do well running a Fortune 500 company.     Jo is not particularly sweet but the times when she gives you love mean it is from her heart and you feel such a great tribute from her. Jo is immaculate in her personal care and neat in her foster room. She is very intelligent and cannot be tricked by a toy or a treat. She can ignore situations that she feels beneath her.     She needs a person who is content with Jo being herself. She likes people talking with her and if she feels it is an intelligent conversation, she will take part too. Sometimes she sleeps her foster's brother's bed, sometimes not. She likes watching him on the computer and listens to music with him. She is an original girl.   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!   If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.    We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet. &#226&#128&#139 Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.this penny needs some luck I am Penny, and I am not sure what I’m doing here.  The people are nice; they gave me medical care when I needed it, treats, and love multiple times a day.  But they are not my people.   My brothers were all adopted when we were babies.  I don’t know why.  We were all cute, and I gave my sweetest expressions to the people coming around looking for a new baby, but they didn’t choose me.     I made a friend, a cat I’m not related to called Bonnie.  Bonnie was also in this place for a long time, and we even went to foster together for awhile.  But Bonnie was adopted, too.  They didn’t choose me.   It is hard for me to shine at adoption events and open houses.  Even though I like people, and I want them to see me, it is scary to hear noises I don’t know.  Every time I start hearing the doorbell ringing and people arriving to see the cats, I try to psych myself up.  These could be your people!  Come out and meet them!  But I end up hiding in the cat trees.  I’ve been here for over a year now, and I’m not sure how to act another way.  It is a nice place with everything I need, but it is not my home.     I may not run up to you right away, but I am a loving cat that wants a stable home, to love me forever and always belong.  Could you give me patience and a chance?  Could you choose me?  I am starting to worry I will never be chosen. Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mitchell is a quiet and cuddly boy. He welcomes pets and likes to watch the other cats play. He will come over to play at times but is a calmer boy who would be happy with a calm household.  Mitchell is loving the life now! He is still working on picking up weight now, but he needs it from his past life where he was deprived of food and shelter. He is happy with a steady supply of food and love and once in a while catnip. Any cat person knows just what an orange cat is! The best of the best! Please note that Mitchell is FIV +.  Feline immunodeficiency virus  (FIV) . The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds  from an infected cat. Casual, non-aggressive contact, such as sharing  water bowls or mutual grooming, does not appear to be an efficient route  of spreading the virus. As a result, cats in households with stable  social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of  acquiring FIV infections.  FIV-infected cats exist worldwide, but the  prevalence of infection varies greatly. In North America, approximately  2.5-5% percent of healthy cats are infected with FIV. Rates are  significantly higher (15 percent or more) in cats that are sick or at  high risk of infection. Because FIV is transmitted through deep bite  wounds, un-neutered male cats with outdoor access, especially those who  are likely to fight with other cats, are at the greatest risk for FIV  infection. However, it is important to realize that while it is  impossible to predict the survival of a given cat infected with FIV,  cats infected with FIV can live very normal, healthy lives for many  years if managed appropriately. Dogs and humans cannot catch it and it,  to repeat, is shared by deep bite wounds.
