Story
Batman IS A COURTESY POST AND IS NOT FOSTERED BY SILVER LAKE! DO NOT CONTACT SILVER LAKE THESE CATS ARE HELD BY A PRIVATE OWNER! This is Batman! I adopted the male tabby in 2017 when he was about 10 months old. He is 7 now. He is neutered. His history and health: He does not have any known medical history issues now. He is neutered. He does have his claws still intact. He is not up to date on shots but I will get them updated before any adoption. His temperament: I have had a vet tell me he is the calmest cat he had ever met. He is very chill. He loves pets, even belly scratches. He gets along well with cats, dogs, and humans. He is a super friendly cat who will come out right away to greet guests. He has been very curious and good when children have been at the house. Please contact Jessica Trail at jtrail13@gmail.com or (248) 318-6757 only for questions or to adopt Batman and Selina

Story
Selina and Batman are NOT SILVER LAKE CATS - THEY ARE COURTESY POSTS! DO NOT CONTACT SILVER LAKE YOU MUST CONTACT THEIR CURRENT OWNER. Selina is not currently spayed or vaccinated - Silver Lake does not condone this - all of our rescues are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered! This is Selina! She is a tuxedo cat. She is about 5 years old. She is a former stray/street cat who came inside 4 years ago. Her history and health: She has no known medical issues. She is not spayed nor vaccinated yet. I am working to try to get that scheduled before adoption. Her temperament: When she came in she was scared and skittish of everything but got along well with Batman right away. She gets along with other cats and small dogs. She does like pets but on her terms. She does not like being picked up. After time she would warm up well to a new family, especially if she has Batman around. They are bonded and must be adopted together! Contact owner - Jessic Trail jtrail13@gmail.com or (248) 318-6757 only if you have questions or are interested in both Selina and Batman.

Story
Morty is a lap dog in disguise, she demands cuddles and needs lots of attention! She’s playful, energetic, a great nap partner, and wants to be with you at all times. She’s vocal and loves rubbing on legs. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get along with our two other cats. Morty is the sweetest girl so we have tried everything through the years to bring peace to the kitty turmoil. Last November we had a baby and decided it was time to finally rehome her. Morty isn’t getting the attention she deserves which causes her to be more aggressive toward the other kitties. She also misbehaves by marking. Morty needs a home without other cats. She would be great for a couple or a single person, she’ll cuddle anyone sitting on a couch. Her last vet visit and vaccinations were Feb 2023. She is declawed on all four paws.

Story
Meet Dr. Mort (for short!), a super sweet cat with the most soulful eyes. Dr. Mort is a big, young guy with lots of love to share. He’s sweet and calm and loves to sit by the window and watch the world go by. He’d make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a relaxed and affectionate young cat. Dr. Mort is also FIV positive but do not be afraid to adopt him. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common diseases of cats around the world. Here is more info about FIV How do cats get the feline immunodeficiency virus? The most common route of infection is a deep bite wound from an FIV-positive cat to another cat. It can also be transmitted via blood, in utero and from the milk of an infected mother cat. Many FIV-positive cats and FIV-negative cats live together in the same home for years without spreading the virus to the non-infected cats. FIV is NOT able to infect any other animals or humans - it is a cat-only virus. Can FIV be treated? There are no proven treatments to rid a cat of FIV. Most FIV-positive cats handle the disease well, but it is important to concentrate on treating the secondary illnesses. Can cats with the virus have a good and long life? Yes, FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they're well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets. Can FIV-negative and FIV-positive cats live together? Yes, as long as the cats get along and do not fight. The risk of an FIV-positive cat spreading the virus to an FIV-negative cat can be minimized by putting both cats in separate rooms until you are confident that they will not fight with each other. If you are interested in adopting me, we strongly encourage you to fill out an adoption app beforehand. ADOPTION APPLICATION . Volunteers will contact you if your application is approved to set up a time to come meet and adopt me. My name is BLIPPY, a gorgeous gray charmer. A former stray, Blippy has a beautiful coat and is one of our most dignified cats. He’s got a great personality too! He’s low key, friendly, curious and loves a good climb up the cat tree. He also loves attention but is independent and can take care of himself. He’s also great with other cats. He’ll make a fantastic companion for someone who works at home and wants a low-maintenance furry companion or a family looking for that purrfect pet. Story
Meet Bobcat, the sweetest guy with a stub tail you’ll ever want to know! Bobcat is a sweet and affectionate tabby despite his tough life. He’s a former stray who was found in a river bed with a broken tail. He was probably cared for by a family at some time because he is curious, alert and happy to hang out with people. He’s on the quiet side and but loves a good jaw-scratch and any petting that comes his way. He’ll make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a mature and low-maintenance cat. Bobcat is also FIV positive but do not be afraid to adopt him. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common diseases of cats around the world.
