Story
Nala was adopted from a shelter a couple years back (about 4). She has lived in the home since, and is a very sweet cat. It takes her a while to warm up, but she craves love and attention. Nala seems to be very introverted, and perhaps that is because she has not received as much interaction as she deserves. She was chill around the dogs when we had them inside, but she was not a fan of the other cat--they often fought. We hope Nala's new home will have loads of love to give her and can give her all the attention we were unable to. We also have many things to give alongside Nala, including; her liter machine (Liter Robot), liter, food, treats, climbing/scratching pole, and her cat bed. We do not have a carrying crate for her. We truly hope Nala can find a forever home with you. Thank you so much.

Story
Everyone meet Miss Ollie!  This beautiful 11 year old Queen has the cutest meow you've ever heard and when she loves you, she REALLY loves you! This little fluff lost her only home, due to a family member being severely allergic sadly. Give her time and patience to trust and she'll give you companionship and purrs. She is an older cat with just enough sass still left inside! When you bond with her, she will always meow for your attention and always be at your side. She doesn't mind dogs but doesn't love them when they are in her space. No other cats please this little diva requests. She does prefer men and would prefer to be the only animal in the house with no kids, so she can be the queen and have all the attention. If you go to the restroom or need to shower, make sure you leave the door open or Ollie will break it down to get to her human! Once she warms up and decides she loves you, you are all hers! She will be super cuddly with the right owners and she only deserves the best. As every queen deserves! Give Miss Ollie the loving home she deserves in her senior years by applying today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org. Miss Ollie is up to date with vaccinations and is spayed. DONATION ADOPTION FEE $75. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! August 19, 2024, 2:49 pm

Meet Caitlyn our beautiful sweet mama, still a youngster herself. She was stray along with her sibling sister Kris. They each had a litter of kittens and help each other care for them! Caitlin is the shyer of the two and would love to be adopted with her sister Kris to help her thrive in a home! We would consider splitting for the right family but cats and kittens do best in pairs! Caitlyn is slow to warm up, but crazy sweet once she gets to know and trust you...wouldn't we all be this way if forced to survive on your own with newborns in the country! The way to Caitlyn's heart is food. She will eventually crawl into your lap and purr when you go to her with food. Soon she will be asking for belly rubs, as well. She has been an amazing mama to her kittens....very gentle, patient and loving but now it's her time for her own life full of love and safety. Please apply today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org to set up a meet or to get all your questions answered. All cats are up to date with vaccinations, altered and Felv/FIV tested. All adopted cats MUST BE INSIDE ONLY! We would consider splitting for the right family but cats and kittens do best in pairs and we have a ready made set for your family. Kris warms up quickly and will run up for pets and attention. She loves attention and cuddles and will happily share with her sister Caitlyn! She will meow for love and happily shows her love for food with her grumble purr while eating wet food. Story
ADOPT LEO! Leo is 10-year-old tabby with gorgeous marble swirl patterns! Handsome Leo is cuddly, plump, and wants to be the center of your attention. Leo is very vocal, singing the sounds of his people until you give in to his demands - treats and cuddles! Leo takes a slower introduction to other cats but has settled down with the ones he’s met at the shelter. Leo is a large boy but likes to play and join activities. Leo was front declawed by a previous owner. The more weight he continues to lose the more active he becomes. This playful guy is acting younger and younger. Leo had been in foster care to help him lose some of his weight. So far he is 3 pounds down! His new home would continue to regulate his intake and encourage playful activity. If you’d like more info on this handsome boy, email us at tchsPapillion@gmail.com or visit https://townandcountryhumanesociety.org/adopt/ The adoption fee is $125 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other cats in your home, they must all be up to date and spayed/neutered prior to application submission.  All members of the family must meet the pet.   Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out.  But we will coach you on alternative methods of managing cats with claws *****We are currently operating by appointment only.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Berry is a handsome boy who takes some time to warm up to people, but loves to be pet when he gets to know you! He loves to hibernate and take the best naps, but comes out for treats when he's ready! He is super soft and ready for snuggling. Do not let this mellow guy fool you, he can be very assertive with other cats in the home. It may be best for Berry to be an only cat, or with another dominant cat who can stand up for themselves when Berry starts something.   The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Loki is about 3 yrs old. I took him in to help out a friend and Ive realized Im just not a cat person. Also I need to rehome him due to landlord permissions. No adoption fee as I need to rehome him ASAP. Loki loves to sleep, lay in Amazon boxes, and chill in his cat tree. He digs cat nip and scratch pads. He is looking for a home that will love him and treat him right. He loves people and I believe he used to live with other cats so he may enjoy siblings to play with.
