Story
Have you ever driven that extra couple miles to get that really cool ice in a drink that you like? Ok, cool becasue then you might understand Lisa's obsession with ice. She and the refrigerator are in a daily face off as she waits for it to give up a piece of ice. She is obsessed. She must have her ice. It is her daily job other than snuggling. So Lisa would really like a home with an icemaker and a purrson willing to feed her ice obsession. Other than ice, she loves laps, snuggling, being held and all other animals. She enjoys being in a snuggle pile with her siblings (Leopold, Wendy and Shelley) - especially Leo. He doesn't make fun of her ice dealio and she appreciates that.  If you are interested in adopting Lisa, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Your application will be denied if you live further away. Approx DOB 04/21/2022 Adoption fee is $110.00 ##1493886##

Story
Greyfoot is a sweet girl who loves to play and climb all over the place. Nothing beats a cuddle though, particularly with her sister, Tiger. She’s a little bit skittish, at least compared to my extrovert sister, but he’ll open up if you’re patient. She’s a real momma’s girl too, so she’d love to be adopted with her mom, Grace, or her sister, Tiger. If you are interested in adopting Greyfoot, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
This little spice girl is definitely a free spirit. She will let you hold her, and purrs softly when petted with a sweet content look on her face. But it might not be for long because she has things to do and places to go! She and her BFF, Elmira, chase each other throughout the house, climb the cat furniture on the walls at an amazing speed, and play with toys back and forth. When she calms down to rest, her favorite spot is a person’s lap or somewhere very near a human. She will also snuggle with her bestie for grooming and naps. At bedtime, she likes to lay on the person’s side or by their feet. She likes light face rubs, chin scratches, and of course the rest of her body to be pet, especially when she’s in your lab. That’s when you get to hear the purr motor really rev up. She is also not shy in telling you what she wants. Whether it’s treats, pets, wet food, or your food. Even though she doesn’t get human food, that hasn’t stopped her from being all up in her foster’s space begging for scraps. You will also never have to worry about being in that scary bathroom by yourself. Paprika will follow you everywhere and make sure the shower curtain doesn’t attack you! She is not a fan of the dog most of the time, he is a bit annoying and tries to chase her when she’s playing. She has no problem letting him know to calm down and get out of her space. She would be fine with dogs in the home and would either tolerate or ignore them. She’ll even lay on the couch or snuggle with her bestie by the dog if he is being calm. She seems to get along with the older cats fine, but she may be too much energy for them. She gets along better with the cats/kittens that match her energy. She’s never met kids but would be great with them, especially if they played with her. She doesn’t seem to have a problem with strange humans either. She doesn’t greet them, but she also doesn’t run away. They can approach her for pets and play with no problems. If you’re looking for a little extra spice in your life, this is the girl for you!  If you are interested in adopting Paprika, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
This handsome dude is a real charmer.  After being abandoned by his previous owner when she suddenly moved out of the country, he joined his foster family and made sure everyone knew he was the boss!  He is fine with other cats after a slow introduction, but would probably prefer to be a one and only.  When he was examined by the vet, it was discovered that he had a significant heart murmur.  It does not slow him down at all.  He is so sweet, full of life, lots of fun, and craves attention from humans.  The hope is that he will grown out of the murmur, but if not, he may not live as long as we would love to see.  He deserves a wonderful life with a loving human, regardless of his condition and he will be a wonderful companion for some lucky somebody!  Do you have the heart to share your home with this super cat? Story
Luther is a handsome panther who just turned 2. He and his litter mates were born in their foster home. They have all gone on to their furrever homes and Luther wonders why noone has wanted such a handsome boy such as himself.  He is a little on the shy side, but has really come out of his shell over the past few months. His bestest buddy is his foster brother Puff, but he gets along with most of the other cats. Sometimes he needs to be redirected when he's not taking cues from his foster sibs. He's never seen a dog, but he would probably be fine with one. He's also never been around children, so that might be an adjustment for him, but not out of the question. He almost always looks concerned, but he loves to play with the other cats and with toys. He's also been caught chasing his tail on occasion. He will jump up on the ottoman, but he's not really a cuddler and doesn't care much for being picked up and held, but will allow it. He would do fine alone or with other cats. If looking to adopt 2, maybe consider adopting with his mom, Marigold. If you are interested in adopting Luther, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Hi.  I'm Sally, and I am a very shy girl, but also very loving.  I was trapped from a feral colony along with my  foster sibling Sadie, so I learned to be cautious.  It may  take some time to get to know me, but when you do, you will  have a faithful companion.  I have gorgeous calico/tabby fur with a beautiful mix of orange, grey, black, and white.  I like toys that I can alternatively attack and cuddle, like soft-sided stuffed animals - catnip is also a good possibility.  If you are willing to invest the time in getting to know me, you will see that although shy, I will give great love to my human.  Please fill out an application and bring me home!Adoption fee of $120 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

Story
Hi ~ I'm Tyler, and I am a handsome but reserved kitty. I was rescued from a shelter with my siblings Steven, Joan, and Jett - I have a dapper black and white coat. I like to play with all of the toys, although sometimes I need a little time and encouragement to know that it's safe. And at first, it might take a minute for me to know that I want the snuggles... But I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - so I will come around and be your dear friend. Please bring me to my forever home!Adoption fee of $120 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

Fiona is a sweetheart! She is a bit shy to start, but once she finds her spot in your lap she will purr up a storm! She was originally in a feral colony (hence the ear tip), but after she was spayed it was obvious she would rather be a house pet! She is good with other kitties and would love to be the newest member of your family!Adoption fee of $120 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

Story
Hello, my name is Fern! I was adopted as a tiny baby and recently returned to 2PawsUp Rescue (thanks to them btw for taking me back). Long story short; I do not like children (and honestly can you blame me?). They run way too fast at me, are too unpredictable and when I meow "leave me alone" they do not listen. I was put on anxiety medication but that did not really help with my fear of tiny humans so here I am, available for adoption... Again...I really am quite beautiful and super affectionate with the tall humans, I think they call them adults. I am quite the talker and I'll meow compliments to you all day long. I'm actually pretty laid back in a calm environment and I'm content to play on my cat tree and nap on your couch. I'm just a gal looking for my perfect fit so I can enjoy the rest of my life in peace and harmony as the queen of the castle. I want to be the apple of your eye, the pea to your pod. You and me? Well we could be the perfect family  as long as there are no kids or other pets involved. Love, Fern. Adoption fee of $120 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/March 17, 2025, 2:39 am

Story
Look out! Here comes Apricot! He was found in a vehicle’s engine in a busy downtown area by the vehicle owner’s dog, Percy. Percy would not get into the vehicle and kept barking and pulling on his leash at the front of the car. The owner looked under the car, checked the tires, finally popped the hood and there was Apricot, meowing up a storm. He was almost named Suburban but Apricot, to agree with his orange, won the naming contest. Apricot was lonely and scared but has adjusted to his new, cozy life in the home of a foster with numerous kitties to help guide and comfort him during this transition. He has settled in very well and is bonded with his new friend, Burrito. When he is not sleeping on top of the warm laundry pile, he is helping fold the laundry. It’s not working out very well. He unfolds more than the folds, by a lot. He also likes to sleep on top of the mail, often eating the bills, which I don’t object to. I just wish he would pay them instead. Apricot has been such a joy to my life. And soon to be a joy to your life!   If you are interested in adopting Apricot, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Bunny is a chill, gentle cat approximately 12 years old that I've had for 9 years when his original owner could no longer care for him. He likes to be around company sitting on the sidelines watching and is friendly with everyone. He doesn't like being picked up and will struggle to get out of your arms if you do but loves to be pet and can do tricks like high five, handshake and lie down (if treats are involved - he doesn't work for free). Only in the past year he's become difficult to take care of. He's been diagnosed with diabetes but seems to be a symptom of a greater issue that vets think might be acromegaly. Treatment for it is not an option for me financially and I am trying to simply manage his diabetes giving him increasing amounts of insulin as he displays signs of excessive water drinking and peeing for whatever life he has left. He is a fighter and has no problem eating, however he has started peeing outside the litter box and I am no longer able to properly care for him.
