Teiglach is a little shy so will not be seen coming to adoption events. He can be found usually cuddling up with his kitty buddies, when he's not playing with them. He must go to a home with other kitties as that is how he is most comfortable. He has a reduced adoption fee which is sponsored by a supporter! If you are interested in applying, please do so at apply.neshamarescue.org.

Jenny is a young sweet girl who likes to sleep in baskets and loves to be outside on the screened porch bird-watching. She also enjoys the company of her BFF, Apricot (her foster kitty brother!) Jenny's ideal home is one that is more on the quiet side. She'd like a very patient family to let her adjust to her new home at her own pace, and who won't pick her up. In return, she promises to make you smile everyday! To apply please visit apply.neshamarescue.org.

Story
Meet Apricot! He is a silly boy who loves to chase shadows and lasers. He enjoys playing with other cats and zooming around the house with them. He is a very sweet boy that loves being around people (but he also very much enjoys snoozing on the screened porch by himself), he just doesn't like being held. He has a very cute meow. Apricot came to us as a pretty small baby and has flourished in foster care. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, fiv/felv-, and microchipped. To apply please visit apply.neshamarescue.org.

Story
Looking for a furry friend that could make you Instagram famous with her dorky antics? Love a challenge and don’t mind a bit of mess? Wish you had a cat that worshipped YOU instead of the other way around? Francesca might be your girl! Francesca is a beautiful, sweet and petite young adult with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) which makes her a bit wobbly and have some funky depth perception, but it doesn’t slow her down! She loves to play, cuddle, and chill out on the porch watching the world go by. She has never met a stranger and has lived with other cats and dogs, and gets along with gentile kids. She can be a little demanding when it comes to love and will be your little shadow wherever you go! Fran’s biggest challenge since she has been in rescue is that she does not consistently poop in the litterbox and sometimes prefers the floor. She will need a patient and dedicated pet parent to help her with her special quirks! Things you can look forward to as Fran’s parent: · The most expressive face ever seen on a cat · Watching her run like a horse in her sleep · Devotion and affection you would get from a dog · Not having to hide your plants since she cannot jump onto counters · A friend that gets along with everyone she meets Francesca is spayed, utd on vaccines, fiv/felv- and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $200. To apply please visit apply.neshamarescue.org

Story
Will-O-Wisp had a very tough start in life. He was trapped by animal control from a home that was hoarding cats inside and outside their home. He was one of he unlucky ones that was forced to fend for himself outside. It must have been so terrifying for him. It is a testament to his courage that he survived at all. He had some access to food, but he was small and underweight when he came to us. His interaction with people was likely minimal. He is a little guy but is tough as nails. He loves other cats but is a little leery of humans right now. He has made great strides since he came into foster care. He accepts chin rubs, loves to rub your legs, marking you as his own. He even will come out and greet you when you come into the room. The purrfect home for him would be someone who has a friendly cat that will be his buddy and is willing to work with him in a small room until he gets comfortable. He wants to badly to interact – he just needs time and patience. Willie is a wonderful kitty. For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Junior Mint came to Purr Partners as a shy little boy, not used to being around people and other animals. He took immediately to the other foster cats and loves to play with them. When he is held he purrs and purrs, and if he is alone with his foster mom, he wants her attention and will stretch out on the cat tree and reach out to her. He has become efficient with the computer and he especially loves to help his foster mom work. 😻Junior Mint has tested positive for FIV, but that is not an issue. It is NOT contagious to other cats except through deep puncture wounds like those caused in fights by two unneutered males. It is NOT transmitted by using the same food and water bowls, litter boxes or toys, and many of us have FIV cats happily living with non-FIV cats in our own homes. FIV positive cats, with good vet care such as you would give any cat, can live a normal life span. 🐾For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Poetry is a wonderful girl, who gets along with all the cats in her foster home and enjoys playing with them.🐾 She loves to sit in the cat tree and take a cat nap, play with wands or roll in catnip. She will occasionally sit with her foster mom, if she doesn't already have cats on her, as Poetry does not like to cause a fight with the others. Story
Abby is a mature and independent feline who loves to enjoy her solitude! As cats grow older, they often become less interested in socializing with other cats or dogs. They prefer to spend their time relaxing and sleeping in a peaceful environment. It's important to provide older cats like Abby with a comfortable and quiet space where she can retreat for when she needs some alone time. This could be a cozy bed in a quiet room or a favorite spot in the sun. Additionally, providing plenty of toys and stimulation can keep her entertained and mentally stimulated during the day. As for affection, Abby loves attention - on her own terms, of course! Many cats enjoy being petted and cuddled, but it's important to always respect their boundaries and not force them to interact if they don't want to. When I'm in the mood for some love, I'll let my human know by approaching them and rubbing against them. Overall, it's wonderful  knowing what I like and don't like. I want to keep enjoying my peaceful and relaxing lifestyle! Abby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all shots. For more information and to fill out an application, go to www.pawsforlifenc.org. Foster to adopt option is available. ##552665##

Story
Slinky Star and Turnip are two best adorable friends who share ONE working eye! They are a completely bonded pair who want to do life together, and they have been inseparable their entire lives. Slinky Star came to the rescue as a tiny baby with a severe untreated eye infection in both eyes, which was not treatable and resulted in his blindness. Turnip, his seeing eye friend and brother from another mother who was rescued along with Slinky's siblings, was born with only sighted eye and a tiny underdeveloped eye. Turnip had an eye enucleation to remove his underdeveloped eye, and Slinky's left eye was also removed at the same time. Slinky's right eye was not removed, as there is some possibility he has light sensitivity in that eye, and the idea of him being completely in the dark (if he could see some light) was too sad to think about! Slinky's right eye is a little unusual looking, but we know his forever family won't mind that. No ongoing eye care is expected for either of them. They have been in their foster family for one year, patiently waiting for their forever family. While they are not difficult to care for (most people wouldn't even realize Slinky was blind without noticing his eyes), they do require a special home (see more details below). They are once in a lifetime kind of cats as far as how amazing they are. Everyone who meets them falls in love, but there just hasn't been that perfect home for them YET. More about Slinky Star: Despite his blindness, Slinky is a happy and healthy boy – the most snuggly boy you will ever meet with the softest fluffy white fur. Unlike many blind cats, Slinky loves to be held as long like a baby as he can hear you approaching and as long as you put him down in a safe space (not on a raised surface where he could get disoriented). He is ALWAYS purring, so loudly you can often hear him across the room! Slinky loves scratching posts and cat trees. It's amazing that, even without sight, he can climb cat trees and play rough and tumble with his friends. He likes to play with toys that he can hear, and he especially loves toys that make crinkle noises. But his favorite toy is a ping pong ball. He likes to have his ping pong balls with him, even in his cat carrier, and he throws them on the ground and chases after them. Slinky tilts his head and looks at you when you are talking to him like he's looking at you. His senses are heightened, and he has a remarkable sense of space where he can jump on your lap and snuggle into your neck as if he always knows exactly where you are. He also loves to stretch out on the top of his cat tree and look out the window where he can feel the sun on his face. He is a big brother to all the tiny fosters who have lived with him the last year, and he is affectionately known as Uncle Slinky. Uncle Slinky is a true *funcle* (fun uncle) and doesn't mind tiny kittens jumping around on him or snuggling in, and he guides them around, which is a strange sight for a completely blind cat. More about Turnip: Blind cats need a sighted cat to help them navigate the world and be a companion. For Slinky, that’s his brother and seeing EYE friend, Turnip. Slinky and Turnip don't care if they are brothers from another mother – although arguably Slinky didn't make the best choice for his seeing eye bestie when he picked a one-eyed cat! Turnip is the perfect combination of fun and snuggly. He bounces around and climbs and then lies down (not gracefully) with feet in the air. He loves ball tracks, string toys, and batting around ball toys. Slinky and Turnip are always together – whether it’s snuggling on the cat tree or chasing each other around! Slinky Star is exceptionally good at the game of chase for someone who can't see. Blind cats learn quickly and will map the house. They are very easy to care for and do not have litter box issues. Because Slinky has been blind almost his entire life, he doesn't realize he is not a typical, sighted cat. Blind cats do require a special family to address some specific needs. Some things to consider:1. No small children.2. No dogs or an especially cat-savvy dog. A blind cat will not be able to protect himself. 3. The ideal home will have minimal stairs (or gated stairs) and no open railings (Some of our prior adopters of blind cats have installed plexiglass/or another barrier on the lower part of stair rails to keep the cat from falling over the edge.)4. The ideal home will be free of major clutter with furniture that is not re-arranged often. (Blind cats rely on scent and memory to find their way around. They may also memorize heights and distances. Therefore, keeping furniture consistent is helpful.)5. Once you've established spots for food and the litter box, try not to move them.6. Blind cats appreciate lots of talking to know you are near and enjoy sounds and toys that have squeaking, chirping, or crinkling.Pre-approved potential adopters may meet Slinky Star and Turnip and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events by applying today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/
