Feline leukemia (FeLV) is contagious to other cats, and therefore, would recommend consulting with your veterinarian on risks of adding me to a feline-friendly home. My new family should be prepared that I may start to show symptoms related to FeLV or take longer to recovery from ailments that wouldn't be a "big deal" to other cats. I can still live a very happy life in a quiet environment and with regular veterinary care, so the GHS recommends speaking to your vet prior to adopting me.
