Story
Gilbert and Eddie are two young fellas who came from different circumstances but have become best buddies at their foster home. Both of them get along well with the other cats in their home, but they picked each other as playmates and besties--it's a good thing, because they have a lot of energy! They are looking for a family to take them home and love them forever. ** Gilbert and Eddie will only be adopted as a pair.** These boys are about 2 years old. Gilbert is a brown striped tabby and Eddie is a black and white tuxedo. They are playful, curious, and very sweet. They can be shy with strangers, but once proper introductions have been made, they want to hang out on the couch with their people. Gilbert is a true gentleman, mild-mannered and polite. He is a "near you but not on you" guy, and will never be a bother to anyone. Eddie likes to get up close and personal--a velcro kitty who loves to stretch out next to his person on the bed for maximum contact. Gilbert and Eddie both love toys, treats, and meal time. They have excellent house manners and no special dietary needs, other than the high-quality food we provide for all our rescued cats. Both Gilbert and Eddie have been neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for the pair. If you are interested in meeting Gilbert & Eddie please fill out the adoption interest form at our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark. Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering our pets for adoption.
We'll also keep you updated on Gilbert's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Echo Snuggles lives up to her name. This girl is all about the lovings. She comes to sit in your lap and lets you pet away. Any speed and style of petting, your choice. Echo is simply happy to be loved. She is a young cat who continues to play like a kitten. She is a friendly, gentle girl with people and cats. She lives with other foster cats and does great. She has met some dogs, mostly smaller, and has been okay with them. You couldn't ask for a sweeter girl to join your family. Echo's ideal home is one where her family has time to to indulge her petting needs, and who know she'll be most confident when she gets to choose when it is lap time. She'd likely do best in a calm home. Cuddle, cuddle, cuddle..adopt Echo Snuggle and feel the love come back at you! Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Hera!! Hera is a gorgeous little brown and white tabby! Hera is a confident and independent spirit! This beautiful girl enjoys doing things on her own terms, whether it's lounging in a cozy spot, watching the world go by, or indulging in her plethora of toys. She's not one for constant attention but appreciates a calm, quiet space. Hera loves cat trees and can typically be found perched in one! She will curl up into the hammock portion and snooze the day away. She would thrive in a home where she can enjoy her freedom but still have a loving, respectful environment when she’s ready for some cuddles. If you're looking for a cat who’s content to do her own thing but will reward you with affection on her own time, Hera would be the perfect fit! When Hera is winding down for the day, she loves a good cuddle session! This sweet girl will happily curl into a soft bed with you to get her beauty sleep. She is fostered with several other kittens and coexists very well with them. She would do great as a spoiled only child or integrating into a kitty pack! Don’t miss out on this sweet independent little girl! Click here to apply → https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/661d7e1ed52f6de13400debc Questions? Meet Silas! A sweet boy with a gentle soul. So gentle in fact, that he doesn't handle his stress well. Silas has chronic cystitis, which is triggered by stress. This dapper gentleman would do best in a home with no dogs, no super young children, and only one other calm cat friend, or no other cats. He's so worth it, he is so full of life and love to give! (NOTE: Silas is located in Pendleton, Oregon but we frequently transport to Portland and surrounding areas!)

Artemis was rescued from an unfortunate situation where she was kept in a cage under a tarp on the street in an encampment. She is a very affectionate and social girl! She is very comfortable around all people, other cats, and dogs. She is very gentle and loves to play and climb! Artemis would do very well in an environment where she can have plenty of enrichment and indoors only. She would do just fine as a solo cat, and she would also do very well in a home with other animals.

Story
We've had Dot and Super Kitty since they were kittens and have only been indoors. Dot is a very sweet but on the shy side. Once she gets comfortable with you however, she will nudge your hands and legs and sometimes drool when she's happy and feeling loved. We are getting ready for a move and won't be able to take the cats with us. They are both really sweet and tend to keep each other company. Ideally, they can stay together but want to find a loving home for each cat individually if that's what's best. Dot is pretty scared of dogs. Both cats have up to date shots and are microchipped.
