Story
Zeus is a very loving, sweet boy. He is smart and playful. He gets along great with dogs and wants to play. Curious about cats. Loves to go for walks and car rides. House trained, crate trained, fully vetted. Zeus has medium to low energy. He will be a great companion and best friend. Zeus' age is approximately 5 years old. He was a stray. A homeless man was trying to sell him on a hot day in Texarkana. No one was willing to pay so the man tied Zeus to a fence of a shelter and left him. Adoption fee is $300. Story
Chicken is a 1-year-old, 55-pound Dutch Shepherd with a heart as big as his name is quirky! This handsome boy had a rough start in life, but he’s now thriving in a loving foster home alongside multiple canine companions. His foster family says he’s a real sweetheart and a true people-pleaser who would do best in a forever home with one other dog to share his adventures with.Chicken is incredibly smart and highly food-motivated, making him eager and open to training. He’s already mastered potty training and even rings a bell to let you know when it’s time to head outside! Talk about impressive! An energetic and adventurous spirit, Chicken loves the great outdoors and would make the perfect hiking buddy. Whether it’s exploring trails or playing fetch in the yard, this guy is always up for some fun. While Chicken has so many wonderful qualities, he does have a fear of being closed in a crate. He’ll need a patient adopter who’s willing to work with him on this and help him feel secure. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and active companion who’s ready to fill your life with love and laughter, Chicken might just be your perfect match! 🐕💖To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
I got Chicken as a temporary foster. He's had a rough life, but managed to stay one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met and he is ready for a family to give all his love. I have three dogs at home and he's played well with all of them. He would do great with at least one other dog in the house to play with (he will still have plenty of energy leftover). Not sure how he is with cats or small animals. He is an absolute baby for anybody that gives him pets or belly rubs. Full of energy, he's a perfect best friend for walks, hikes, or any other activity. He's looking for a stable home where he can feel consistently loved and be given firm direction and command. He picks up on things very quickly, and is always eager to please. He never goes potty in the house and even uses my dogs' bells to signal to go out. He’s been doing daycare for extra socialization and training, so ask about his progress and learned commands when you apply. He’s looking forward to meeting you!
