This is Halligan, a 3 year old Flat Coat Retriever who is in desparate need of a home.  His owner is in the military and leaving San Antonio, Texas on Friday, October 27.  He will turn him into our very high kill shelter at that time.   I was just made aware of the situation.  Halligan is an extremely friendly and family pet who loves kids but only good with his pet companion Akira who is also availabile for adoption.  If you can give him a home please submit an application on the website below or give me a call so we can save his life.  Thank you, www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 18, 2024, 7:41 am

Let me introduce myself, I'm Ripley, a sweet and handsome fella. And believe it or not I'm out here looking for a family that I can say is ALL MINE! I'm around 8 months and come in at about 30lbs. I'm almost all the way growed up and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger. That puts me at the pawsomely perfect size for tagging along on your daily going on's and also for any of those action adventures you want to tackle. And BTW, if any of those include water, you can bet I'm all in!! I'm an active pup that does fabulously with people and other pups. I'd make a great 'sibling' for either or I wouldn't mind getting all your attention as your one and only. My house training is going superbly as I'm one smart cookie and pick up new things quickly! If you're looking for a family addition that will be a BFF that will always have your back, a sidekick to accompany you in your everyday life throws you and a cohort for those adventures, I AM that boy!!! APPLICATION: If this dog has stolen your heart, don't wait! Please apply online now to be considered as a potential adopter. NAME, GENDER, AGE WEIGHT BREED & VIDEO DOG: GREEN JEANS GENDER: MALE DOB: 01-15-24 WEIGHT: 25 lbs BREED: Flat Coat Retriever (Comfort Dog) LOCATION: Preston CT DONATION $550.00 VIDEO: Pups Green, Red & Pink Outside Exploring on how to navigate a ramp and stairs - this was built just for rescue dogs to learn how to use stairs and a ramp Green Jeans weighed 42.2 lbs. on June 13, 2024, he is a male flat coat retriever and was the first born. He is very loving and a laid-back big boy; each day before he is put down for a nap, he is the first to snuggle right up to his human and put his right paw on her leg. He is very smart, loving and social with people and dogs. He loves the pool but just but cautious about what exactly water is all about, personal attention and companionship from his littermates and humans. His foster mom tells us that he can be independent and can take the role of a very gentle alpha when the other two pups need him to slow their play time down. At night, foster mom always takes a moment to talk to him and he rolls over for a belly run. He loves his siblings and will snuggle with his brother Red between the pen sections, comes when he is called, and he knows how to sit for food. Foster mom does think he definitely loves his people. He is trained to use the litter box and is working on his leash training. Green Jeans has a lot to offer a loving family. This guy is very gentle and enjoys his time with his humans. He is very loving, attentive, and follows foster mom all over! He is a puppy and has lots of energy, but can quickly settle down and become a very large and loving lap dog! Green Jeans is best described as a happy go lucky guy, eager to run, play and be with his siblings. He is a polite, learns quickly and a real loving little boy. If you’re looking for an easy-going family dog, then he is right for you. Nothing would be better than curling up with him at the end of the day. Flat Coat Retrievers are comfort dogs. Story
Ronan is son to Mama Taylor Swift who came into our rescue as a pregnant stray. We do not know who dad is, but mom is a medium sized wire-coated Airdale terrier mix (seen here in the pictures) and her babies (her Swifties) are a mix of wire hair, curly hair and flat coat and are ADORABLE! Attached picture of DNA testing shows that the puppies are 46% Poodle, 16% Golden Retriever, 11% Chihuahua and 11% Airdale Terrier. This explains the curly and the wire hair that the puppies have.  Ronan has slightly curly wire hair, so it expected to not shed much at all as an adult. He is mainly back with a typical wirehaired terrier adorable beard.  He is the biggest pup in the litter and will be probably a larger medium dog when full grown.  These puppies are microchipped, are up to date with vaccinations, have no intestinal worms, and are being fostered in a loving CT foster home, by a foster mom who keeps them very clean and well-fed and stimulated.  ##2100246##

Story
Meet the Pepper litter: Jalapeño, Bishop, Trinidad, Aji, Tangerine, Ghost, Poblano, Pequin, Scotch Bonnet, and Sweet Bell! They are expected to grow to medium sized dogs. Mama Carolina (wire terrier mix) and her 10 babies were dumped in a tote in 95 degree heat in TN, when they were only days old. This little family was suffering from heat exhaustion when they were taken in by animal control, and Paws Rescue League stepped in and placed mama and babies in a loving foster home to recuperate. Now that day is a distant memory, and the whole family is ready to find their furever homes!   From her foster: "Ahi, the smallest female in the litter, has more delicate features than her brother, and a smooth black coat with wire hair on her ears and white markings on her chin and chest. She is a confident puppy, happy to roughhouse with her brother. When I pick her up for a pet, she often licks my ears. Her mom weighed 38 lbs, we are guessing she will be a medium sized dog. At 9 weeks, she is crate trained, pad trained, and knows it is “good” to go outside. She is treat motivated and I think will be easy to train. Apply to adopt to meet this sweet puppy and see if she is a good match for you!" Aji is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, kids, and all people. She is medically up to date (not yet spayed) and working on crate training and housebreaking. Apply to meet this sweet girl today!  ##2128461##
