Story
adoption donation : $750 weight 45 lbs Age: 1 year  Tippy has the distinction of being the favorite dog at the rescue and there are A LOT of dogs! Tippy is sweet, friendly and playful and very smart.  Tippy gets along with everyone he meets, he loves to play with the other dogs at the rescue, he follows his foster mom  around, tail wagging. If she calls him, tippy comes running!   Tippy absolutely loves water, he spends his summer days splashing  in and out of the plastic baby pool!     Tippy was relinquished to the rescue when his family moved away and wasn’t able to take him. He has had his vaccination and has been neutered and isa healthy and happy boy who will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts him.     Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Story
This handsome boy is Bandit. He is 4-years-old and weighs 60 lb. We think he is a foxhound mix. Bandit is a very sweet dog who loves any kind of attention. His goofy ears are sure to catch anybody's attention. Bandit loves to put his paws up on your lap so that he can give your face kisses. He's a big dog that does not quite know his size but he's food motivated and ready to learn. Bandit is a people's dog and immediately loves anybody he meets. He would like to be in a home where he isn't alone for long hours. Although Bandit is an active boy who does like to play, he's just happy to be doing anything as long as it's with people. He gets along well with other dogs but does appear to seek out people's attention more. Bandit might be best in an adult-only home due to his size, lack of body awareness and the fact that he can be grabby when taking treats. Dog savvy teens could possibly be a good fit as well. He would do best with a physically capable handler, who can work with him so he can learn to not pull on the leash when he walks. An Easy Walk or front lead harness would help this issue. We don't know what Bandit thinks of cats, but can "cat-test" him if needed. Bandit is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Bandit, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.

Story
Super sweet Yara is a 4 year old American Foxhound who is so grateful she was rescued from being a stray. Dogs know when they've been saved! She's a beautiful girl who is fully grown at 32 pounds and will make her adopter's family so happy. Her foster Mom says "Yara has the typical Foxhound personality. She's sweet, friendly, smart and loyal. She loves her stuffed toys and bones and would love nothing more than to be your couch potato pal as naps are her 2nd favorite things after her toys. She has been great around other dogs and has absolutely no aggression or reactivity. She loves to go for walks and sleeps all night quietly in her crate. She'll be a great dog for her lucky adopter". Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to find out more info about her.

Story
Beautiful Milo is a 1-2 years old Foxhound mix who is fully grown at 40 pounds. He's such a friendly and sweet guy who loves spending time with other pooches and everyone he meets. He has a medium energy level and loves playing in the backyard. He's learning his commands and is so ready to join a family who will love him forever. Foxhounds are wonderfully mild-tempered, devoted and easygoing companions so Milo will be a great family dog. He's loves to get exercise and is also quiet for a hound which adds to his charm! Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get more info about this great pup!

Story
Barney is an affectionate, sweet boy. Probably not a year old and loves to play. He has that wonderful hound voice but he's not obsessive with it. He does well with other dogs, he's not familiar with cats but plays to hard with chickens. He's very smart and has learned a few basic commands. He would be a loyal companion for a little love.
