Story
Dylan is a very special foxhound looking for that special someone to give him a Forever home. Dylan is a tripod as a result of his front leg getting tangled in some fence wire. By the time he was discovered with his severe injuries, the leg could not be saved. But that is all behind him now and he's ready for his new life. He gets around fine and enjoys playing with the other dogs at his foster home on a farm in Virginia. He likes to hang out in the sun, watch the farm animals, and snuggle into soft places to sleep. He's affectionate and friendly around people. Dylan is about 3 years old and weighs about 45 lbs. Ready for transport to Massachusetts. Story
Pearl is a very special foxhound whose broken leg and broken spirit have been healing in the care of her wonderful foster in Virginia. Pearl was found limping by the side of the road and was brought into the county shelter. Her leg was broken in two places s but is healing well and she should have full mobility. Pearl was very timid initially but has gained confidence and is learning to trust new people. She's a quiet hound girl, housebroken, and walks well on leash. She likes to take her time and enjoys sniffing her way along. She seems fine around cats. Children scare her and she will retreat from them trembling, so she'll do best in an adult home. She gets along well with other dogs and like to lie in the sun in a fenced yard. Pearl has some separation anxiety when her people leave, she may whine a bit, but has not been destructive. She's learned to enjoy being petted and especially likes having her neck and ears stroked. Pearl is 3 - 4 years old and 45-50 llbs. She will be arriving in New England in August. Story
Hi! I'm Tootie, a 1.5-year-old female hound mix. I'm about 43 pounds and am up to date on all my vaccinations. I am playful and affectionate. I love giving kisses to everyone I meet! I'm great with dogs and love going to the dog park and daycare. I'd love to have another dog to play with me in my new house, but would be fine alone as long as you're around to play with me. My previous family loved me very much, but unfortunately I didn't get along well with their kitten. As a hound, I'm very prey-driven and like to chase cats and small animals. They're heartbroken to see me go but know I deserve a home where I can be my happy-go-lucky self! I hope it won't be long before I find my forever family. I'm available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
Meet Geoffrey, 💙 a nearly 1-year-old Foxhound mix with a gorgeous face and sweet eyes. This charming pup is amazing with other dogs, good with chickens and cats, and adores kids. Geoffrey is extremely calm, house-trained, and loves carrying his favorite toys around. While he may need a bit more practice on a leash and in a car, he's fine at daycare and is nondestructive. The only requirement is that he has another dog to show him the ropes. Geoffrey is super low maintenance, capturing the hearts of everyone he meets with his friendly nature. He enjoys making friends with new dogs and puppies, loves to play, and can't resist a good belly rub! Consider bringing this lovable companion into your home. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Introducing Gomez, an adorable 10-month-old American Foxhound/Chinese Crested mix with a unique Foxl3 hairless gene. He will never shed! 😍 Gomez is already crate trained and is showing great progress with house training. He eagerly awaits your arrival home and has a slight habit of getting overly excited, but he quickly settles down. Gomez is an overall calm and well-behaved companion, who loves nothing more than snuggling up with his person on the sofa to watch television. He is incredibly friendly towards cats and other dogs, making him a great fit for multi-pet households. However, due to his exuberant nature, it's recommended that he be placed in a home with older children to prevent any accidental knocks or bumps with toddlers. Gomez is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. He is ready to bring joy and love to his new forever home! ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
adoption donation : $750 weight 45 lbs Age: 1 year  Tippy has the distinction of being the favorite dog at the rescue and there are A LOT of dogs! Tippy is sweet, friendly and playful and very smart.  Tippy gets along with everyone he meets, he loves to play with the other dogs at the rescue, he follows his foster mom  around, tail wagging. If she calls him, tippy comes running!   Tippy absolutely loves water, he spends his summer days splashing  in and out of the plastic baby pool!     Tippy was relinquished to the rescue when his family moved away and wasn’t able to take him. He has had his vaccination and has been neutered and isa healthy and happy boy who will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts him.     Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue.
