Story
Meet Pierre, he is a little over one year of age, has two different colored eyes one brown and one blueish-white and a beautiful brindle coat. When Pierre first arrived at our rescue, he had a horrific skin infection affecting most of his body and he weighed approximately 7 pounds. Our organization had him treated at our local veterinarian. Now, Pierre weighs 26 pounds and his fur has grown back to a beautiful brindle color. Pierre is neutered, microchipped, pee pad trained, friendly with other dogs and very, very playful. Pierre has alot of energy and at the same time he loves to sit on laps and cuddle. Pierre is seeking his forever home. PLEASE NOTE: We want to ensure our dogs go to a good, loving, safe home, therefore, we require potential adopters to complete our adoption process which entails filling out our adoption application, a short interview and an in-home visit. If you are interested in adopting Pierre please send us an email at holdrescue@yahoo.com.

Story
Bruno is an energetic boy who loves attention, cuddles and naps! He is house trained, and uses a doggie door. He is crate trained for night time sleeping. He does well with other small dogs and cats, but not bigger dogs. A home with children is acceptable, but will do best with older children ages 10 and above. He needs someone who has the time to spend with him, and someone who can be consistent with training.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sacramento- *special needs* Zooey is a floppy eared Frenchie who came from a backyard breeder. When she became unable to walk because of IVDD, they did nothing. This has left her with two useless back legs and is incontinent. She is super cute with her floppy ears (she looks like a mini English because of them). She gets around on her own with her front legs and will use her back legs to stand up when outside. She will need to wear diapers forever, but it is way easier than you would think. She came to us with poor skin, open wounds, and missing a lot of hair, but now she is looking great and ready for a home. She was super extra with other dogs when she first came and now lives with a gang of them but she is possessive of her crate and her food. She is good with kids (no idea about cats but she is slower than any so it wouldn't matter anyway).   She will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for a life of love.   You can find out more about our available dogs and appt online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoptpet/   Adoption fee: $500 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*SPECIAL NEEDS* Meet Croquette, affectionately known as K, a French Bulldog puppy who is not only adorable but truly special in every way. Despite facing some significant challenges, K embodies the spirit of resilience and boundless joy. This delightful pup shares all the typical traits of a French Bulldog puppy – she loves to play, indulge in chewy hooves, enjoy her meals, and bask in the warmth of snuggles. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she'll dance with excitement, hoping you'll scoop her up for some extra love. K, however, is a very special girl, born with severe defects, including Spina Bifida with an open defect and leg differences, as well as hydrocephalus (or missing parts of her brain). These conditions mean that her back legs didn't form correctly, and she'll require diapers throughout her life. Her balance is a work in progress, and she may experiences occasional seizures (no meds required as none have helped). While K's special care demands around 45 minutes a day, she firmly believes she deserves attention at all times. She is on the lookout for a family that can provide constant companionship. Foster mom works but luckily someone stops in to care for K during the day.  K will eat hard food but doesn't have the drive for water, so she is fed mush (often by the spoon) to make sure she gets hydrated.  Handling her bathroom needs involves gentle expressions, a routine that K takes in stride. This may seem like a lot, but the reward is immeasurable – the sheer happiness and joy that K brings to every moment. In terms of life expectancy, K's story aligns with another dog adopted out six years ago with similar conditions, who is still thriving today. While the duration of any dog's life is uncertain, what truly matters is the love and cherishment they receive during their time. For those willing to embrace the uniqueness of caring for a special needs pup and provide a loving home, the adoption fee is waived for the right match. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sacramento- Meet Brie, the delightful 2-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as warm as her fur. Brie is a charming canine companion, characterized by her laid-back demeanor and love for leisure. While she may not be a morning enthusiast, her playful side emerges when the mood strikes, making her a delightful playmate. Brie's unique story adds a layer of depth to her character. She was previously the cherished companion of an owner who faced physical challenges but provided her with love and care. Unfortunately, her owner has passed away, and now Brie is seeking a new loving home. This adorable Frenchie is a social butterfly with other animals, displaying a non-dominant and friendly attitude. She's currently in the process of learning crate and house training, showcasing her adaptability and willingness to learn. Brie has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  One of Brie's endearing quirks is her preference for sleeping on your bed, where she can unleash her impressive snoring talents. Despite the noise, her comforting presence is sure to bring joy and warmth to your nights. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing, and affectionate furry friend, Brie might be the perfect addition to your home. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi, I’m Peaches! 🍑 ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a darling little girl. 🎀 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am approximately five years old as of the end of 2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French-fry! Well, they say I am a French Bulldog, but I identify as a potato and the best kind of potatoes are fries. 🍟🥔 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a tiny little 16 pound nugget. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a fawn-coated little lady with a white splash above my nose, satellite ears, the sweetest eyes, and the MOST amazing underbite that shows off my adorable teefs. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat my kibble like the good little girl that I am. But I won’t turn down pretty much anything else that is offered, or that falls on the floor in my vicinity! 🤭 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am as sweet as a peach. I am goofy and love to dance on my hind legs when I am happy or excited. My preferred position is snuggled up with a human, seconded by snuggling up with a doggy friend. I want to please and am enjoying learning new things. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I wake up and do a biiiiiig stretch before I head outside for potty time. After breakfast, I like to take a quick walk to help with digestion and get some sniffs in. I spend a good portion of the day napping with a human while they work from home or hanging calmly with my dog friends. After dinner, I love to play ball or just run around with the kids in the yard. Then it’s sleepy time after a very fun day! 💤 WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I am still figuring that out. I am not overly interested in toys unless someone else is first. But I do like the crinkly toys, and will chase a ball if you make it sound exciting. 🎾 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I learned how to sit very quickly, and I know how to “go to bed” when told to. That is not only a super cute trick, but it is such a good girl thing to do, right?!? I am a skilled ballerina as I dance around on my hind legs! I am learning how to wait patiently at the door to be invited in/out. That’s a tough one, but I am smart and well behaved so I am working hard on it! WHAT SCARES YOU? Being left completely alone is a little scary. I’ve been practicing and, even though I still don’t like it, I am much calmer about it. Other than that, as long as I have a human or a dog friend nearby, I’m not afraid of anything! Oh, and I have to admit that the Frenchie side of me thinks the bottom of an empty food dish is terrifying, but it happens every day and so far I have survived (somehow). HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes! I have been around kids of all ages, and I am good with everyone! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not really interested in cats, except to try to sneak their yummy food! I have never tried to chase the cat in my foster home. My foster mom says that’s a good thing, because it means I’m a good girl, plus the cat is BIGGER than I am! Other than the occasional sniff and lick, we mind our own business. 🐱 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I want to be friends with every dog I see. I am a little sassy to potential new friends when I am on a leash, but I figure out quickly that they are not trying to take all the attention away from me. 🐶 IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Snuggled up with a human, snoring! Either in the sun or under a blanket, dealer’s choice there. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a healthy girl. 😁 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and her three boys, ranging in age from eight to 14 years, plus two doggy friends, a cat, a tortoise, and six chickens. I am really into my foster mom and we hang out since she works from home. I like when the boys play video games or read books so I can cuddle with them. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate. It’s a safe place and I have learned to really like it. The resident dogs have crates right next to mine so I am not alone. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? At bed time I sleep in my crate. During the day, I sleep on the couch, on the chair, in the sun, on the other dogs… I really excel at naps. 😴 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I do! I only have about a mile in me before I am spent, but the outside world is exciting. 🦮 DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Well, I personally wouldn’t call it a “bad habit” so much as a super power! I am really small and like to take advantage of my small stature to squeeze into places that I shouldn’t be, or out of places that I SHOULD be! The humans have figured me out, though, and they protect me from my adventures.🤨 ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am a work in progress with potty training. I will use potty pads in my pen. I need patience and structure to help me learn to potty outside, and I hope you will give me the guidance I need to learn what to do at your house. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I like to hydrate. I am a water drinking champion. But do I like getting wet? What do they say about gremlins? That’s what my foster mom says about me. I have had a few baths…they were awful. 0/10 don’t recommend. The treats and towel dry after the baths *almost* make them worth it. 🛁 WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They are really kind to me. Even when I make a mistake, they remind me I am a good girl and we try again. I am super motivated by praise and treats. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t remember much about it, really. All I know is that an amazing Good Samaritan found me running down the street. I wasn’t feeling well, and they helped nurse me back to health. Then NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took me into their care to help me find the perfect family that will love me forever. Will you take me home with you? 💖 **PEACHES’ ADOPTION FEE IS $1,000** If you are interested in PEACHES please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding For more information on what that means and why that is, please click on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/333019703483910/posts/3264412130344638/?extid=0&d=n Thank you so much in advance for understanding!!!
