**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Big Ed.**   Handsome, sweet, and cuddly, Big Ed is the whole package! Big Ed is a little charmer who is estimated to be 1-2 years old. He is the sweetest boy around and loves nothing more than hanging out with his people and enjoying lots of pets. He is an easygoing guy who could spend all day chilling on the couch if you let him. Big Ed is fully grown and weighs about 28lbs. Big Ed came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Goose) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Goose out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Big Ed and Goose seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately.  Big Ed is a mellow dude who enjoys the simpler things in life - food, cuddles, and the occasional stroll down the street. He is past all the puppy nonsense and has been enjoying life in the AC. Big Ed is very much a lap dog and his favorite place in the world is on someone's lap. He is a great napping buddy as long as you don't mind his snoring, haha. Big Ed seems like he hasn't had any basic manners training, so his new family will need to be dedicated to helping him learn things like not jumping on people to say hi. Big Ed has done well with the other small dogs he has met but seemed a little worried when introduced to a large dog. With a slow introduction, he may do well living with a large dog. Big Ed seems like he wouldn't mind being your spoiled-only dog. Big Ed has been doing well ignoring the cats in his foster home and seems like he could do well living with dog-savvy cats in his new home with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Big Ed could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Big Ed has been doing well with his housetraining but still tries to mark inside every now and then. He is used to wearing male diapers to decrease his marking. Once his hormone levels decrease from being neutered, his marking behavior should decrease. Big Ed has been doing well being crated when his foster family is gone and at night. He has never been truly alone, so would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being home alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Big Ed gets tired more easily and appears like he may benefit from  Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome. He will be evaluated for surgery before adoption. Depending on the urgency of his condition, adopters may be responsible for getting him his surgery post-adoption.  Big Ed is the bestest boy and he deserves the best home. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Big Ed's adoption fee is $500.     Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Goose.**   Watch out world, here comes Goose! This loveable boy is estimated to be around 5 months old and is the perfect mix of chaos and cuddles. He very much is still in his puppy phase and loves to romp around and have as much fun as possible. He loves everyone he meets and is quick to charm people with his handsome looks and adorable antics. Goose currently weighs around 23lbs, he may grow a little more, but he will likely be under 35lbs when fully grown. Goose came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Big Ed) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Big Ed out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Goose and Big Ed seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately. Goose is your typical puppy who loves to have fun. It is always a good time for playtime in his mind. Once he has gotten his energy out, he loves to cuddle and is the best napping buddy (that is if you don't mind his snoring, haha). He is still learning all his basic manners, so he needs a family dedicated to continuing his training. He is a smart boy but needs some guidance on how to be the best boy he can be. Goose has done well with the other dogs he has met, and would love to have another dog in his forever home to play with. Due to his energy level, he likely would do best with another younger dog who could keep up with his rambunctious puppy energy. Goose thinks cats are fun to chase, so he would probably do best in a kitty-free home. Goose could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Goose has been doing well with his housetraining, but he still isn't 100% trained, so his new family will need to be consistent about taking him outside and rewarding him when he potties outside. Accidents should be expected. Goose has been doing well with his crate training and is fine to hang out in there when his foster family is away and at night. He has never been truly alone, so he would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Goose is such a sweet boy and he deserves his happy-ever-after ending. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Goose's adoption fee is $600.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello! I’m Sasha! 👋 ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a sweet, sassy girl. 💖 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m told I am two years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. 🐾 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 25 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a shiny black coat with a white patch on my chest and the cutest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. My foster parents tell me I’m perfect, and I have to agree with them on that one! 😊 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibbles, but I think I love my treats just a little more! Just know, I never turn down any food you give me . . . Or drop on the floor. 🤭 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a big snuggle bug! I can be a little sassy when I don’t get what I want. When the sass doesn’t work, I pull out my secret weapon… My puppy dog eyes.🥹 That usually does the trick. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh, that’s an easy one… Breakfast, playtime, a mid-morning nap, then I wake up and do it all over again! Squeeze in a walk and some cuddles (obviously) and I’m the happiest pup EVER! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys!!! I have my favorite stuffed animal, my nylabones, and my squeaky toys. 🧸 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, wait, and I have recently learned shake, which is a favorite in my foster home. Treats always help when you want me to do tricks. I’m easily persuaded with food. 😁 WHAT SCARES YOU? Cleaning stuff! I hate when foster mama cleans. The vacuum, mop, leaf blower, spray… I must protect the household from all of it. Either that, or she can just stop cleaning! 🤔 HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I don't have any children in my foster home, but I have met one kiddo and he was a pretty neat little fella who I can hang with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not sure I even know what a cat is!😺 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love my doggy foster sister and brother! It may take me some time to warm up to other dogs, but once I do, I love them with my whole heart. ❤️ Just set me up for success with slow introductions, please! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere my humans are! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am happy and healthy. I snore a lot, but everybody knows that about Frenchies, right? We are world-class snorers! 😬 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? My foster mommies and doggy foster brother and sister! My foster mamas are my closest companions, but I love my foster brother and sister because we play and cuddle all day long! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my kennel. I will put up a fuss for a bit when left alone, but then I just go to sleep. 💤 WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my kennel with my own comfy puppy bed and toys. 🧸 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going on walks and exploring the outdoors! I even know to sit so my foster mom can put the harness on before we go for our walks. I’m such a good girl, right?!? DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? If I know you’re home, I want to be out and about with you. So if I’m in my kennel, I am pretty vocal with my complaints to management. 😜 And I am protective of what’s mine, especially when it comes to food, treats, and toys. So it is important to supervise playtime if toys are involved. And please give me private space to eat my meals so I can relax and eat peacefully. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) My foster home has a doggy door and I know “Go potty outside” means it’s time to go outside to handle my business. I am very good at letting the humans know when I need to potty. ☺️ DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am not a fan of bath time, but I put up with it like a good girl. I’m not built for water activities, though, so I need to be kept safe from pools, please. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They show me patience and unconditional love and care. My doggy foster brother and sister have been so helpful, teaching me how to be a good dog and how to have fun! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember much about it, actually. I just know I ended up in the shelter until NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me and found a wonderful foster family to help me. And now I am ready for my own loving forever home. Will you please show me what happily ever after looks like and take me home with you? 👑💖 ⭐️Sasha’s ADOPTION FEE IS $1500⭐️ For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in Sasha, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Benny! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a handsome little boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am between two and three years old! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a perfectly proportioned 26 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I look adorable, if I do say so myself! I have a fawn-colored brindle coat with the cutest white stripe right in the middle of my forehead. My chest and the tips of my teensy little toes are also white. Oh, and don’t get me started on my eyes! I have these big, sweet eyes that will melt your heart every time you see me. SO CUTE, right?? WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’m kinda funny about my food preferences, actually. I enjoy my kibble at meals, but I am particular about foods that most other dogs enjoy (or so I’ve heard). For example, rather than eat blueberries, I prefer to push them around with my nose and chase them when they try to escape. Foster mom says this is cute and silly… I just think these little things are more of a toy than food! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m such a sweet boy. I am coming out of my shell and learning how to be a dog now that I am safe and loved in my foster home. I am pretty mellow for a young fellow (ha! I made a rhyme!), and foster mom calls me an “old soul” because I am so laid back and well-behaved. I’m independent and can often be found hanging out by myself soaking up the sunshine in the backyard. Foster mom loves when my goofy side comes out because I make the cutest grumbly noises to express myself! When I’m getting my beloved belly rubs, I tend to get stuck on my back like a silly turtle, which brings out the aforementioned grumbly noises, which then brings out the giggles from the humans. I’m a character! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day would DEFINITELY involve some sunshine sploots in the yard. That’s my super favorite thing! When I got my fill of the sun, or maybe just on a break from my yard time, I would come inside for some belly rubs from my humans. And I would really like to take a car ride on this perfect day too! Oh my goodness, this sounds like an AMAZING day, doesn’t it? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I’m starting to learn how much fun toys can be! My favorites are the soft ones that have a crinkly sound when I bite them. That’s the best! I also love to chew on Nylabones or play tug with my humans! Oh, and I am REALLY good about bringing the ball back when you throw it for me. I love to make my foster mom proud when I bring the ball back! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? If a treat is involved, I will give you a fabulous “sit.” And I am SUCH a good boy about waiting patiently when it is time for a walk. That’s hard because I love going on a walk SO much! I’m also very responsive to “no!” I’m a good boy, so I don’t hear that one all that often, but if I do, I will stop whatever it is right away. WHAT SCARES YOU? Am I scared of the vacuum? I don’t know if I’d call it fear… I am just convinced that it is here to destroy the house and hurt my foster mom. So I make my presence known with a few well-timed grumbly noises to make sure that the vacuum knows I’m not going to put up with any of its shenanigans. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have! There’s a three-year old girl that comes over to the house pretty regularly! I like her a lot, but I am still learning that it’s maybe not the best idea to jump up on little humans. I’m just trying to show her I love her, but foster mom is working on teaching me good manners. I am a good boy, so I am doing my best to keep all four paws on the floor. DO YOU LIKE CATS? Can’t say I have an opinion one way or another, as I’ve never come across one. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I really like other dogs! Foster mom thinks I would thrive in a household with a doggy companion so I can learn how to play and run around. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Easy question… I would be splooting in the sun or getting belly rubs from my human. Oh, maybe I could get belly rubs from my human while I’m in the sun?! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? When I first came to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue, I had a big growth in my neck. But I had surgery to remove what was identified as an impacted salivary gland. With that gone, the doctors don’t expect any further issues with that! Yay! I also had surgery to help me breathe better and now I’ve got a whole new lease on life. I’m healthy and happy and ready to enjoy the rest of my life! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad, and there are three resident dogs here too! I am most attached to my foster mom, since she’s the one who gives me treats and plays with me. She makes me happy, and I know she loves me very much. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am very comfortable in my cozy crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. In fact, I go in there all by myself without being asked most of the time! Have I mentioned I’m a good boy? DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Oh, I really love walks! I have just started going out to explore now that I have healed up from my surgeries and I am quickly learning how to have good leash manners. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? When I am left alone in my crate during the day, I make my feelings known by grumbling a bit, but then I settle down fairly quickly. That seems pretty reasonable to me, and I’m not sure I would call it a “not so great” habit. But foster mom says that’s all she can think of that is maybe less than perfect about me, so that’s fine. Other than that, I am just the BEST boy! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I am doing so well with going potty outside! I go straight to the slider when I need to potty. I haven’t had an accident in the house in a couple months! Foster mom is so proud of me, and I am pretty darn proud too! Of course, when I come to your house, you’ll need to show me where to go and make sure you are patient and consistent with me as I learn a new routine in a new space. But I will figure it out quickly because I am a very good boy! DO YOU LIKE WATER? With my Frenchie face and stocky body, I am just not built for water activities. Please keep me safe from pools or other bodies of water! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They love me, give me belly rubs (and help me roll over when I’ve gotten stuck in the upside-down turtle position!), let me lounge in the sun when I want to, feed me, and keep me safe. They are teaching me how to enjoy doing dog things and I’m finding out life is pretty fun! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? Y’know, I’m not entirely sure what happened, but I found myself in the shelter all of a sudden and I had a big “thing” on my neck that made people concerned for my health, as I mentioned above. Thankfully, NorCal Bully Breed Rescue found out about me, rescued me from that place, and got me the medical attention that I needed. And that’s when my real life, my BEST life, started. I’m ready for all that the future holds for me. And the first thing I need is to find someone that will take me home and love me forever. Will you please show me what that kind of love feels like? **BENNY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $1,500** For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in BENNY, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
Potter is a special needs pup with hydrocephalus; he needs a family that will keep his head safe and be ok with his developmental delays. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? My name is Potter, Hydrocephalus Superhero. ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a little boy. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born around January 28, 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 18lbs WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a cute, little guy! I’m white and brindle piebald, whatever piebald means. I have a little arrow marking on my forehead and white frosting on my ears. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like moist kibble and dog-friendly treats. I’m not too sure about the carrots or apples that my foster mom offers me, but if you gave me some chicken or other tasty dog-friendly food from your plate, I would probably gobble it up! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? Well, I’m not sure if you know, but I’m kind of a big deal! And all the things that make me different are the same things that make me special. I’m sweet and spunky and living in the moment is my style. I am playful and love to wrestle and chew on my foster brother Tater. I’ve been told I can be kinda demanding; sometimes, I fuss and bark to let you know I want attention, food, or need to go potty. Sometimes, I howl when I’m in my carrier or crate because I want out! But I settle down easily. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day starts with a “good morning, Potter” and scratchies from my foster mom. Then I do a big stretch, go potty, and get ready for breakfast. Sometimes, I go back to sleep for a bit afterward. Once I’m up, I’m ready to play, explore, and find something to chew on like my Benebone. I eat lunch and nap. I spend time chilling, playing tug-o-war, maybe have another nap, and more exploring. I take my medication at 7:00 p.m. sharp and start my bedtime routine of chewing a yak stick, and then snuggle and sleep. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything to tug-o-war and my yak stick. If you let me, I will nibble your fingers and toes. Sometimes I wrestle the dog bed and drag it as far as I can! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? No, but I know my name and I come when being called. I’m not sure about learning more. WHAT SCARES YOU? Sometimes loud noises and sudden overhead movement can be scary. I’m little, so people standing over me make me cower or try to get away. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? Yes, but because I can’t play rough and need to be safe guarded, it’s best if I am around older kids that understand. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I don’t think I’ve met a cat, so I am not sure. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE other dogs. They are fun, but being around gentle dogs that are not too big, who won’t knock me over, or squish me, is safer. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Hanging out with my person or forever family doing whatever they’re doing. I’m easy going. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I was born with Hydrocephalus. I have no idea what that is, but like I said, I’m a superhero and I’m gonna live every day to the fullest. Hydro makes me wobble around, unsteady on my feet, and fall over, but it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from having fun! Humans must be careful with me and ensure my head is protected as much as possible. Other than that, I’m great! Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and my foster brother. I love them both! I really like my foster brother because he lets me chew on him. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I stay in my very own X-pen with toys and a fluffy bed to lounge on, access to my food and water, and plenty of room to potty if I need to. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep on my comfy bed in my very own penned area – you know, superhero style. Sometimes, I fall asleep with my foster mom and magically wake up in my bed. I think it must be one of my superpowers. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? The most important thing for me with walks is that I won’t be going on any walks on the hard pavement. I’ll probably be more of a explore and stumble around on the soft grass kind of guy…. In case I fall over. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Um, I like to bark demands and do mischievous stuff, like tear up my potty pads when bored… I don’t think that is so bad. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) No, I go potty on potty pads and sometimes I just go wherever I happen to be. I might be able to be potty-trained, but you’ll have to be very patient with me. DO YOU LIKE WATER? Only to drink and for bathing. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they protect me, are patient and kind, play with me, and love me. I’m living the dream. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was born different, so some nice ladies rescued me and brought me from far away to NorCal. Now, I live in a wonderful foster home and my future is wide open… Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? If you’d like to have a superhero in your life, I am SO ready to love you forever! **Potter's adoption fee is $1,000.00** If you are interested in adopting Potter, please jump on our website and read why about the adoption fees for special breeds BEFORE filling out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Zane!   ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a handsome little man!   HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am about 4 years old.   WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am a lean 26 pounds!   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a soft, white coat with black spots, like an adorable baby cow!   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’m a fan of my kibble, and I like strawberries but not carrots. I love to try ALL the dog-friendly foods that anyone wants to give me!   WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a sweet ball of energy! I can be such a goofball when I find a toy and I make others chase me to play tag! And once I get all my wiggles out, I love to cuddle next to the humans.   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day would include some sunshine, playing with my friends, going for a walk to explore new places, and getting cuddles from my humans.   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Oh, I love ALL the toys! My current favorite is a flirt pole, which I’m pretty good at catching quickly and then playing tug!   DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I’m pretty good at Sit, but my specialty is the high jump over a 40” fence.   WHAT SCARES YOU? I haven’t found any fears yet. Not even with the fireworks going off in the neighborhood!   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I had 6- and 9-year old kids come visit me, and we all loved each other. I can be pretty energetic, though, so I should probably stick to kids I can’t accidentally knock over.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I don’t live with any cats, but when we go for walks, there are many neighborhood cats along the way and I have no reaction to them.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I really like other dogs! Foster mom thinks I would thrive in a household with a doggy companion to play chase and tug!   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would be in Paris! One, because I’m French (duh!) but also because I should be competing in the Olympics. Bring on the high jump competition!   HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a pretty healthy guy! I like to stay active and fit!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and grandma, plus three other Frenchie fosters and one weird looking resident dog with a mohawk. I love to follow my foster mom everywhere she goes, because I have a bad case of FOMO. But then I also love my foster brother, Billy, because we play tag all over the yard. And my other foster brother, Peru, will play keep away with me. Too many to choose a favorite…   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate too.   DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going for walks and I am pretty amazing on leash. I don’t tug at all!   DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I’m not the biggest fan of my crate because I have a little separation anxiety. But I’ve only been here for a couple weeks, and I’m doing better each day as I feel more comfortable in my space. My foster mom and I disagree on whether my high jumping skills are a “bad habit” or “untapped talent.”   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am pretty good about going through the doggy door, though I have had a few accidents. I am new here and still getting my bearings, so foster mom knows to be patient with me and I’ll figure it out.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? Sometimes I try to bite at the hose while foster mom is watering the lawn. And I don’t fight bath time! But I’m a Frenchie and we are not built for water activities, so I need to be kept safe from pools or other bodies of water, please.   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that I have humans to give me cuddles and also other dogs to play with. I really love being with others.   WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? A local shelter took me in as a stray and removed a small abscess from my neck. The shelter contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue because they knew they would take good care of me and find me the best home. And now I am excited to find a family to love me forever. Will you please take me home? **ZANE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $1,500** For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in ZANE, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
Betty is a cowgirl transplant from Texas. She is an adorably sweet, spry 12 yr. old senior Pug/Chihuahua mix who was rescued from front street animal shelter. She loves being a Dallas cheerleader as she dances around on her hind legs. She loves the great outdoors, but prefers being with you whether you’re inside or outside. She is a true little cuddle bug. She is spayed, housebroken, microchipped, crate trained, heartworm negative, current on her vaccinations and her adoption fee is $400. If interested or if you have any questions please go to littlepawsdoggierescue.org.

Story
This is Beatrice. Available for Medical Adoption Animal ID A855145 Let me start with saying Bea is a Beautifully Typical English Bulldog. Current weight is 43lbs 9 months old. Bea also has a serious heart condition. More info coming. Temperament is Stubborn, Pushy, bully at times, especially with older dogs. Easily corrected. She is also Very Loving, smart, cuddly, loves belly rubs, Bene Bone chews and toys. In her foster home, she has large, medium and small playmates. Also, cats. She is respectful, but if they run, she will chase them in a non-aggressive way. Bea has not been exposed to children of any age. We suggest respectful children over 12 yrs old. She has a moderate energy level. On 4/13/2024, I took her in for a Dr check for possible ear infection, common in bulldogs. While under sedation to clean ears and perform x rays on hind end, Vet discovered a grade 3/6 heart murmur. Shelters Preliminary diagnosis on murmur and lameness, Congenital Heart Defect and Hind Limb Abnormalities. X rays on hind end were inconclusive. Over time her movement has gotten much better. Beatrice had her Cardiology visit on 4/26/2024. The Echo findings show a complex combination of congenital abnormalities. She is currently on Beta Blocker therapy. The medication is called Atenolol. The dosage is 25mg, 2 times per day. Dosage may increase as Bea matures and gains weight. A recent prescription filled at Walgreens pharmacy was only $34, for 1 month of meds. She has been on this medication since 4/26 and has been doing Fantastic. Beatrice will require on-going medical care to regulate her condition. Our shelter vet successfully performed Bea’s eye surgery and her spay. He said she got through her surgery with flying colors. He acknowledges Bea may have shortened life, he also feels, as I do, her life could be much longer. 2 + years. I believe there is an adopter out in the universe, who LOVES this breed, knows all of the little quirks, behaviors, temperaments and how to handle them. Maybe an adopter who already has a Bulldog with matching energy and temperament, who needs a companion. A person or people who can and will give Beatrice her absolute BEST LIFE, no matter how long, and treat her like a spoiled little Princess. This is the life she deserves. We will continue to foster this Beautiful little Soul, until the absolute PERFECT adopter is found. Please reach out if you have any questions. Sandy Caplinger gypsyredsc@gm
