Story
Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 1 yr of age and 26 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some good bone chewing). I’m still working on my house training. I’m getting the hang of it as long as you take me out frequently to go, but I will need continued training. I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

Story
**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Big Ed.**   Handsome, sweet, and cuddly, Big Ed is the whole package! Big Ed is a little charmer who is estimated to be 1-2 years old. He is the sweetest boy around and loves nothing more than hanging out with his people and enjoying lots of pets. He is an easygoing guy who could spend all day chilling on the couch if you let him. Big Ed is fully grown and weighs about 28lbs. Big Ed came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Goose) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Goose out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Big Ed and Goose seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately.  Big Ed is a mellow dude who enjoys the simpler things in life - food, cuddles, and the occasional stroll down the street. He is past all the puppy nonsense and has been enjoying life in the AC. Big Ed is very much a lap dog and his favorite place in the world is on someone's lap. He is a great napping buddy as long as you don't mind his snoring, haha. Big Ed seems like he hasn't had any basic manners training, so his new family will need to be dedicated to helping him learn things like not jumping on people to say hi. Big Ed has done well with the other small dogs he has met but seemed a little worried when introduced to a large dog. With a slow introduction, he may do well living with a large dog. Big Ed seems like he wouldn't mind being your spoiled-only dog. Big Ed has been doing well ignoring the cats in his foster home and seems like he could do well living with dog-savvy cats in his new home with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Big Ed could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Big Ed has been doing well with his housetraining but still tries to mark inside every now and then. He is used to wearing male diapers to decrease his marking. Once his hormone levels decrease from being neutered, his marking behavior should decrease. Big Ed has been doing well being crated when his foster family is gone and at night. He has never been truly alone, so would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being home alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Big Ed gets tired more easily and appears like he may benefit from  Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome. He will be evaluated for surgery before adoption. Depending on the urgency of his condition, adopters may be responsible for getting him his surgery post-adoption.  Big Ed is the bestest boy and he deserves the best home. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Big Ed's adoption fee is $500.     Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Goose.**   Watch out world, here comes Goose! This loveable boy is estimated to be around 5 months old and is the perfect mix of chaos and cuddles. He very much is still in his puppy phase and loves to romp around and have as much fun as possible. He loves everyone he meets and is quick to charm people with his handsome looks and adorable antics. Goose currently weighs around 23lbs, he may grow a little more, but he will likely be under 35lbs when fully grown. Goose came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Big Ed) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Big Ed out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Goose and Big Ed seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately. Goose is your typical puppy who loves to have fun. It is always a good time for playtime in his mind. Once he has gotten his energy out, he loves to cuddle and is the best napping buddy (that is if you don't mind his snoring, haha). He is still learning all his basic manners, so he needs a family dedicated to continuing his training. He is a smart boy but needs some guidance on how to be the best boy he can be. Goose has done well with the other dogs he has met, and would love to have another dog in his forever home to play with. Due to his energy level, he likely would do best with another younger dog who could keep up with his rambunctious puppy energy. Goose thinks cats are fun to chase, so he would probably do best in a kitty-free home. Goose could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Goose has been doing well with his housetraining, but he still isn't 100% trained, so his new family will need to be consistent about taking him outside and rewarding him when he potties outside. Accidents should be expected. Goose has been doing well with his crate training and is fine to hang out in there when his foster family is away and at night. He has never been truly alone, so he would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Goose is such a sweet boy and he deserves his happy-ever-after ending. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello! I’m Sasha! 👋 ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a sweet, sassy girl. 💖 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m told I am two years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. 🐾 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 25 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a shiny black coat with a white patch on my chest and the cutest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. My foster parents tell me I’m perfect, and I have to agree with them on that one! 😊 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibbles, but I think I love my treats just a little more! Just know, I never turn down any food you give me . . . Or drop on the floor. 🤭 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a big snuggle bug! I can be a little sassy when I don’t get what I want. When the sass doesn’t work, I pull out my secret weapon… My puppy dog eyes.🥹 That usually does the trick. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh, that’s an easy one… Breakfast, playtime, a mid-morning nap, then I wake up and do it all over again! Squeeze in a walk and some cuddles (obviously) and I’m the happiest pup EVER! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys!!! I have my favorite stuffed animal, my nylabones, and my squeaky toys. 🧸 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, wait, and I have recently learned shake, which is a favorite in my foster home. Treats always help when you want me to do tricks. I’m easily persuaded with food. 😁 WHAT SCARES YOU? Cleaning stuff! I hate when foster mama cleans. The vacuum, mop, leaf blower, spray… I must protect the household from all of it. Either that, or she can just stop cleaning! 🤔 HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I don't have any children in my foster home, but I have met one kiddo and he was a pretty neat little fella who I can hang with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not sure I even know what a cat is!😺 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love my doggy foster sister and brother! It may take me some time to warm up to other dogs, but once I do, I love them with my whole heart. ❤️ Just set me up for success with slow introductions, please! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere my humans are! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am happy and healthy. I snore a lot, but everybody knows that about Frenchies, right? We are world-class snorers! 😬 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? My foster mommies and doggy foster brother and sister! My foster mamas are my closest companions, but I love my foster brother and sister because we play and cuddle all day long! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my kennel. I will put up a fuss for a bit when left alone, but then I just go to sleep. 💤 WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my kennel with my own comfy puppy bed and toys. 🧸 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going on walks and exploring the outdoors! I even know to sit so my foster mom can put the harness on before we go for our walks. I’m such a good girl, right?!? DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? If I know you’re home, I want to be out and about with you. So if I’m in my kennel, I am pretty vocal with my complaints to management. 😜 And I am protective of what’s mine, especially when it comes to food, treats, and toys. So it is important to supervise playtime if toys are involved. And please give me private space to eat my meals so I can relax and eat peacefully. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) My foster home has a doggy door and I know “Go potty outside” means it’s time to go outside to handle my business. I am very good at letting the humans know when I need to potty. ☺️ DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am not a fan of bath time, but I put up with it like a good girl. I’m not built for water activities, though, so I need to be kept safe from pools, please. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They show me patience and unconditional love and care. My doggy foster brother and sister have been so helpful, teaching me how to be a good dog and how to have fun! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember much about it, actually. I just know I ended up in the shelter until NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me and found a wonderful foster family to help me. And now I am ready for my own loving forever home. Will you please show me what happily ever after looks like and take me home with you? 👑💖 ⭐️Sasha’s ADOPTION FEE IS $1500⭐️ For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in Sasha, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
Meet the handsome Joey. He is a 1.5-year-old, 19 pound, Pug mix?? He has a reddish-brown, smooth coat, that should be easy care. He has dark brown eyes that will melt your heart. Joey, Juliete, Jazzy and Josie were found fending for themselves in the river area of Stockton. Joey would love to have a human companion at home with him. He is shy and will need a little patience to get used to a new living situation. He gets along well with other dogs, especially females. He would be a welcome addition to an adult home or a family with children 12 and over. He will need some leash training and some house training. Here at the sanctuary, we use the command "go potty" before we take the dogs outside to do their business. This is excellent routine to establish at home. Joey is happy to go outside especially if you go with him. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Are you ready for a new love? Joey is waiting for you! Story
My name is Panda ♥️ I’m the cutest boy ever! I am 3 years old! I'm a little bulldog. I'm 54.8 pounds of love. I’m black and white and super adorable, as, I’m told by everyone who meets me., with dark soulful eyes that will melt your heart . I love to eat everything. I eat my natural balance salmon and sweet potato kibble, I also love watermelon yum yum, I also get orate vet chews to keep my teeth clean, as well as beef jerky, and dog bones. I'm super friendly, do however get super excited when I see humans and dogs. I'm just a love bug! I’m independent, can be left on my own with no separation anxiety,, as long as I have my squeaky balls . I’m a silly boy , I’m very eager to learn and please and obedient. My tail is always wagging ♥️ My day starts when my foster mommy gives me lots of love, then my morning walk, then I get my breakfast, I play fetch , take a nap, more walks and more play time and potty time, plus my snacks oh boy do I love snack time !! then dinner time, an evening walk then go to sleep in my kennel or on my bed and repeat the process the next day. I love my red rubber wand, plus I have my nubby squeaky balls they are so fun. I love my tug a war rope toys too. I have lots of toys. I know shake, sit, fetch, but sometime I play keep away lol, I'm working on stay and down. Fireworks and gun shots scare me! My Foster mommy plays music for me and that keeps me calm. I have not been around children but I’m sure I would love them. I’m very strong so I think older children would be best for me. I'm not sure about cats, as I do love to chase squirrels, lizards, rabbits, and birds, I never catch them because my short little legs are not very fast lol. I get super excited to see other dogs. I want to be every ones friend. I think I would be happiest in a house watching a good movie on the couch with my human's by my side. although I’m a very good traveler in a car so an adventure would be fun too. I live with my foster mommy, she has two dogs and a cat. My senior foster brothers don’t play much and One is dog aggressive so I live in another room in the house , my foster brother the German shepherd comes in to visit me often . my foster mommy is my closest companion, she gives me love and plays with me, she has an adult son who comes over all the time he plays with me and walks me to. I’m rarely home alone but if I were I would be in my kennel in the dining room, so when it's bed time the doors close and I sleep in my kennel. Yes I love to walk on my leash and I'm very good at it, sometimes I pull a little but I’m working on that with my foster mommy and I’m getting better every day because I’m so smart! I’m a good boy. Although I do get super excited when I see humans and I jump up, I just want to hug everyone, I’m working on off and down and doing very well because I’m so smart! But if I get a chance I will still try to get in your lap, I must have been a Chihuahua in my past life lol. Yes, I’m potty trained. I only go potty outside. I’m a good boy! Yes, I love water. I’m very good at bath time. My foster mommy bought me a little kids plastic pool. She tosses my toys in and I go In and get them. It’s a fun game and It keeps me cool. I love that they took me off the street and gave me a safe place to stay. I also love all the attention I get, plus all my toys, treats, and food. Did I mention I love Food yum yum! I had a checkup and I’m a very health boy! I have been neutered and have had all of my vaccinations and am micro-chipped.
