Story
Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 1 yr of age and 26 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some good bone chewing). I’m still working on my house training. I’m getting the hang of it as long as you take me out frequently to go, but I will need continued training. I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

Story
**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Big Ed.**   Handsome, sweet, and cuddly, Big Ed is the whole package! Big Ed is a little charmer who is estimated to be 1-2 years old. He is the sweetest boy around and loves nothing more than hanging out with his people and enjoying lots of pets. He is an easygoing guy who could spend all day chilling on the couch if you let him. Big Ed is fully grown and weighs about 28lbs. Big Ed came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Goose) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Goose out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Big Ed and Goose seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately.  Big Ed is a mellow dude who enjoys the simpler things in life - food, cuddles, and the occasional stroll down the street. He is past all the puppy nonsense and has been enjoying life in the AC. Big Ed is very much a lap dog and his favorite place in the world is on someone's lap. He is a great napping buddy as long as you don't mind his snoring, haha. Big Ed seems like he hasn't had any basic manners training, so his new family will need to be dedicated to helping him learn things like not jumping on people to say hi. Big Ed has done well with the other small dogs he has met but seemed a little worried when introduced to a large dog. With a slow introduction, he may do well living with a large dog. Big Ed seems like he wouldn't mind being your spoiled-only dog. Big Ed has been doing well ignoring the cats in his foster home and seems like he could do well living with dog-savvy cats in his new home with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Big Ed could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Big Ed has been doing well with his housetraining but still tries to mark inside every now and then. He is used to wearing male diapers to decrease his marking. Once his hormone levels decrease from being neutered, his marking behavior should decrease. Big Ed has been doing well being crated when his foster family is gone and at night. He has never been truly alone, so would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being home alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Big Ed gets tired more easily and appears like he may benefit from  Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome. He will be evaluated for surgery before adoption. Depending on the urgency of his condition, adopters may be responsible for getting him his surgery post-adoption.  Big Ed is the bestest boy and he deserves the best home. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Big Ed's adoption fee is $500.     Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
**French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Goose.**   Watch out world, here comes Goose! This loveable boy is estimated to be around 5 months old and is the perfect mix of chaos and cuddles. He very much is still in his puppy phase and loves to romp around and have as much fun as possible. He loves everyone he meets and is quick to charm people with his handsome looks and adorable antics. Goose currently weighs around 23lbs, he may grow a little more, but he will likely be under 35lbs when fully grown. Goose came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with another Frenchie (Big Ed) and a Malinois puppy. He was never claimed by a family, so we wasted no time to bust him and Big Ed out of the shelter and they have been thriving in a foster home ever since. Goose and Big Ed seem like they may be father and son based on their ages. They do not seem bonded and would do just fine being adopted separately. Goose is your typical puppy who loves to have fun. It is always a good time for playtime in his mind. Once he has gotten his energy out, he loves to cuddle and is the best napping buddy (that is if you don't mind his snoring, haha). He is still learning all his basic manners, so he needs a family dedicated to continuing his training. He is a smart boy but needs some guidance on how to be the best boy he can be. Goose has done well with the other dogs he has met, and would love to have another dog in his forever home to play with. Due to his energy level, he likely would do best with another younger dog who could keep up with his rambunctious puppy energy. Goose thinks cats are fun to chase, so he would probably do best in a kitty-free home. Goose could be a great addition to a home with kids 10 years or older. Goose has been doing well with his housetraining, but he still isn't 100% trained, so his new family will need to be consistent about taking him outside and rewarding him when he potties outside. Accidents should be expected. Goose has been doing well with his crate training and is fine to hang out in there when his foster family is away and at night. He has never been truly alone, so he would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate him to being alone if they don't have a dog buddy for him. Goose is such a sweet boy and he deserves his happy-ever-after ending. Story
LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT FOSTER/ADOPTER! Bailey holds a special place in our heart at Jelly's Place. She is our office dog, and is very devoted to her "people". She is charming, quirky, VERY smart, and once she loves and trusts you she is a loyal girl. We just adore her and know we will find just the right home for her. Bailey was an owner surrender who came to us with some psychological trauma. We suspect she was used for breeding and not treated very well. In her time with us she has gone from being frightened and unapproachable, to a love bug who wants affection (on her terms), treats, and silly playtime with her toys. Note: Bailey also has skin allergies (we tested her) and that involves some medicated baths and occasional anti itching meds. Bailey needs consistency, and loves her routine. She does great on a leash and would benefit from daily walks. She is a very easy companion animal, and would be a good fit with a family who doesn't need an active dog. The ideal home for Bailey would be with a family who has experience with the Frenchie breed and their special personality. A family without kids would be best, she is a one or two person dog. Once you get past her initial gruff exterior, and Bailey knows you are her person she will melt your heart, and will love you with all of her heart. Bailey is potty trained, UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. If interested in meeting Bailey, please apply at jellysplace.org. Approved applicants will be contacted for an introduction.

Story
Ciara is a 2 year old Frenchie who loves laps, playing, and chilling. She enjoys walks on leash, going to the Beach and chasing balls, especially ones who squeak. We suspect Ciara has some trauma in her background (she came to us from a high-kill shelter) as she tends to be reactive and fearful towards men. She is currently in a foster home where she is gradually learning to trust strangers, and goes on daily walks in a busy city environment. Vaccinations, microchip and spay is included in the adoption fee. If interested in meeting Ciara, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org.

Story
Penny is a cuddly Frenchie girl, approx 4 years old. She is incredibly sweet and loveable, she wants nothing more than pets and hugs. Penny loves children, and gets along great with other dogs. We suspect she will be fine with cats as well. Penny came to us with some ear and skin issues, typical for Frenchies, but she has been in a loving foster home and has received great care and is now healthy and ready for her furever home! If interested in Penny, please complete an application at jellysplace.org. If you already have an application on file, please send us an email at info@jellysplace.org and we will get right back to you!
