My Name is Tinsel aka Sweet Girl as my foster mom calls me! I am a French Bulldog that loves going on long walks and enjoys being outdoors. My foster mom says I’m the best walking partner! I am crate trained and love to take naps in my crate. I don’t mind other dogs but I do like my own space and would love to be the Queen of my castle! I also have an old injury to my right eye but it doesn’t seem to bother me or slow me down. I love to cuddle and just chill with my humans. I am not high energy but I do get the zoomies from time to time. I love puzzles and snuffle mats to keep me busy. Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 2 yr of age and 30 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some bone chewing). I'm housetrained I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

French Bulldog Age: 2-3 yrs old Female, spayed 24 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Mary Lou was brought to the Stockton shelter by someone who said they “found her.” The “finder” thought that maybe she had been hit by a car, which is why she didn’t have any use of her back legs? However, there were no signs of trauma. Given her breed and that she was obviously used for breeding with no signs of ever having a C-section, it is likely that she injured her back giving natural puppy birth (French Bulldogs require C-section surgery to safely birth puppies, but there are a lot of unscrupulous backyard breeders just trying to make a buck and taking shortcuts - leaving the dogs to suffer. Many of the dogs we work with that have no use of their back legs recover to some degree with work. Mary Lou hasn’t made much progress in this area, so will likely be a paraplegic dog for the remainder of her life. She prefers to drag the hind legs behind her, rather than using a cart. And because she doesn’t have use of her back legs, pee and pooping has it’s challenges, as well. In addition to no use of her back legs, she does have some medical conditions that are common to the bulldog breed (allergies, ear infections, and the occasional urinary tract infections associated with her urinary challenges). * * * * STOP BREEDING BULLDOGS!!!! * * * * Mary Lou qualifies for our “permanent foster” program where we support her vet needs for the remainder of her life (as long as she is fostered/adopted locally). On the other hand, she is super, super sweet. She loves everyone: humans and canines (and maybe cats? Not sure). She needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. LILO is 7yrs old and weighs about 22lbs. Lilo is a happy and playful dog who loves long walks and hikes, running and rolling in the grass, snuggling on the couch, and sleeping under the covers with you. She is non-aggressive and great with other dogs and children. She is house trained and crate trained when we’re not home. When we’re at home, she’s an indoor family member/pet. She enjoys lying in her dog bed and basking in the sun or curling up right in your lap. Writing this with a heavy heart, I love Lilo so much, and the thought of not having her is devastating. However, because I love her, I feel terrible that she’s not getting the attention and love she so desperately craves and deserves. I’d love to hear more about your lifestyle and why you feel that now is good time to bring lilo into your home.
