Story
Nia is a smaller Shepherd mix (45 lb range). She is under 2 years old and an absolute joy to have around. Nia is very playful, so another dog in the home would be fun for her, but a family that would include her in their outdoor adventures and car rides would also be ideal. She is very cuddly and loving, currently in a foster with older kids and thriving!Although she can be timid with new people in new situations, she’ll relax once she realizes she is safe. This gal is a real treasure and she’s waiting for her forever family to love her forever. In return, you’ll gets loads of affection and make many memories along the way.

Story
Meet Luna, an amazing and loving 2-year-old German Shepherd mix. Despite having her tail docked due to infection, she has adapted/healed remarkably well and is a joy to be around. Luna is a quiet companion with a gentle nature, only barking when startled. Luna has a passion for outdoor activities like playing fetch, hiking, and swimming, making her an ideal companion for an active family. Although Luna is crate trained, she much prefers sleeping beside her people. She is making great progress with walking on a leash and no longer pulls. This affectionate gal loves everyone she meets and is eager to please, enjoying belly and chest rubs. Her excellent behavior around children, taking food gently from their hands, and her great interactions with other dogs makes her a fantastic addition to an active family. Luna will undoubtedly bring loyalty, sweetness, and joy to her forever home.

Story
This February, amidst the biting winds and freezing temperatures, a little lost soul was found wandering alone. We named her Espresso, and despite her rough start, this pint size dog is brewing up to be the perfect addition to a loving home. When Espresso first arrived, she was underweight, cold, and understandably cautious. The deep freeze had clearly left its mark. But beneath her initial apprehension lies a heart overflowing with love just waiting to be unlocked. Espresso might be a little hesitant when you first meet her, but don't let that fool you. This sweet girl is a sucker for affection and can be easily won over with a tasty treat! She simply yearns for someone to shower her with love and show her what it truly means to be cared for. Once she trusts you, prepare for a lifetime of happy tail wags, cuddles, and unwavering loyalty. Espresso is dog friendly but has not met any cats friends yet. She has a gentle and submissive nature.Espresso is more than just a rescue; she's a testament to resilience and the power of love. She's a blank canvas ready to be filled with happy memories in her forever home. Imagine cozy evenings spent cuddling on the couch, playful walks in the park, and the unwavering companionship of a dog who is endlessly grateful for your love.

Story
**Stevie is a Patient Paw, please ask about her reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Age: 4 years oldWeight: 37.9kg / 84lbA little bit about Stevie :- Limited history with children; children should be teens and up- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time- Some history of living with dog; selectively dog reactive. Potential for dog in home pending successful Dog-to-Dog introductions but is mostly dog asocialStevie’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, but we know her perfect forever home is out there. Recently adopted, she sadly found herself back at the shelter—through no fault of her own. Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns, but we’re determined to make sure her third adoption is her last. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Stevie. She has the most soulful eyes, and she knows just how to use them to melt hearts, earn extra pets, and maybe even sneak a treat or two. However, she’s carrying a little extra weight and will need a gradual weight loss plan overseen by a vet. Luckily, she loves her walks just as much as she loves snuggling up on the couch afterward.Stevie has lived with another dog before but has shown some selective reactivity, so she may do best as the only dog in her home. On walks, she’s well-mannered when passing other dogs but prefers not to make new canine friends. She has also shown some prey drive, so careful introductions would be needed with cats or small animals.Stevie has stolen the hearts of everyone at the shelter, and we know she’ll steal yours too. Will you be the one to give this incredible girl the forever home she’s been waiting for?

McGuire is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as they are not available to meet on site.A bit about me:- unknown history with cats; introductions should be slow and supervised- unknown history with children; all interactions should be supervised- dogs okay pending successful introductionThis dashing boy is as affectionate and sweet as much as he is playful and goofy! McGuire has loved every person he has met and been positively intrigued by each dog he has spotted while in his foster home. This house-trained boy loves nothing more than being close to his people, but also enjoys his space and is happy to take a snooze in any crevice he can find! During the day, he can be found having puppy naps on his many beds and against various items of furniture, enjoying his many toys and treats, or bird and squirrel watching through the window to pique his curiosity.McGuire may at times get excitable when his family members get home from work or during play time and become a bit jumpy and mouthy - his foster family has found that Kong toys with wet food inside or squeaky plushies are the perfect redirecting toys to get McGuire back to the perfect, calm, and kind boy that he truly is.If you are looking to add a handsome and loyal friend for life, McGuire is the perfect candidate for you and your home!
