Story
Little Bear (2 yrs old) and Jasper (1 yr old) are very sweet and inseparably bonded together like brothers. They are very affectionate, loving, energetic and playful. In November 2024, we found these 2 stray male dogs near a busy road; no collars/tags. After taking them to a vet, we discovered they were not micro-chipped. Animal control was familiar with the dogs and gave us the owner’s contact information. We reunited the dogs with the owner, but the next day he contacted us and asked if we could take them as he could no longer care for them and stated they were not safe in his neighborhood. He signed a statement giving the dogs to us. We've been fostering Little Bear and Jasper ever since. They are learning commands. Both get along well with our 9 yr old dog. We took them to the vet, no abnormalities were found, both are healthy, their vaccinations are now current and we've scheduled an appointment for neutering. We are trying to find a forever home for these two adorable pups.

Story
Hi I'm Checkers.  Check me out! I am a 3 year old German Shepherd, and quite a handsome boy if I do say so myself.  I like to play with my kong and go on leisurely walks.  I love people, and am very affectionate and loyal. My foster mom says I am a really good boy and so easy to have around.  I would really like to have my own family to hang out with.  I don't mind being left alone while you are at work, and I am completely house trained. I know how to sit and I walk well on a leash, but I don't like kitties. I hope you will want to come meet me.       Come see this pup during adoption event hours. Please email Linda at lbredfire@sbcglobal.net or call WT&F's Dog Team voicemail 707-812-9030 to get a jump on the process, ask questions, and/or to confirm they will be there.  Dog adoptions are held at Napa Petco on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month - 1:00pm to 4:00pm. . This dog comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and more with an adoption fee/donation to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals in Napa, CA. Story
** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN Santa Fe, New Mexico** This big, handsome boy has a bigger heart and a tail that wags his whole body. He was surrendered by his owner, networked to us from Shafter and has settled in well at the farm. Dax is happy youngster who can be picky about his dog friends but is yet to meet a person he doesn't like. He is affectionate around people and is very happy to stand with his head in your lap waiting for pats and scratches. He has high energy, balanced with a gentle nature and we think he will make an extremely loyal companion. If you are interested in meeting this armchair expert wanna be, complete an adoption application and schedule a meet & greet. Adoption donation $495.

Story
Sheppy joined us from the Fresno Humane Society and has been a cherished part of our rescue family. He is a loyal and affectionate friend. Sheppy is good with everyone he meets, showing kindness and patience to adults and children. He gets along fine with other dogs, though he prefers the company of calm and gentle dogs over bouncy ones. Sheppy is an older gentleman, which means he brings a sense of wisdom and steadiness that younger dogs may not. He does not like cats. He can be barrier reactive. If you want to give a sweet senior a forever home, have a nice yard for him to supervise you while gardening and lay on your feet on a cold winter night; he's your guy. Apply today; he's been with us far too long! Meet this wonderful older gentleman and give him the forever home he deserves.

Story
This is Bill! He is a 1 year old, German Shepherd mix. He came to our shelter as a stray back in October of 2023. We don’t know much about his past but what we do know is that he is sweet, affectionate, and very cute! He’s just a gentle, little guy looking for a family to show him that life isn’t so scary! He was polite, quiet, and relaxed when meeting another dog. We are recommending he go into a home with children 13 years and older.

Monica is still searching for her group of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.! She is a loyal companion that would love to spend her days with a loving family. She came to us as a stray with her siblings that have since been adopted. She is a smart and affectionate girl that gets along with other dogs. She is still a puppy so will need help mastering her basic manners. We are recommending she go into a home with children 10 years and older.
