Story
This heartwarming story about Goose, the adorable boy seeking a loving family, truly tugs at the heartstrings. Goose’s journey from a challenging start to blossoming into a loving and gentle dog is remarkable. Goose’s Background: Age: Goose came to us when he was just 3 months old. Previous Experience: Unfortunately, his previous owner left him in a crate for 20 hours a day, resulting in limited exposure to the outside world. Reactivity: As a consequence, Goose developed some reactivity to people. Transformation: However, within just a week of structured training, Goose began to thrive. His loving and gentle nature emerged, and he quickly bonded with his caregivers. Skills: Goose has acquired several valuable skills: Leash Manners: He knows how to walk politely on a leash. Crate Trained: He is comfortable in a crate. Car Riding: He behaves well when riding in a car while crated. Potty Training: Goose is mostly potty trained. Basic Training: He has a foundation in basic commands. What Goose Needs: Confident Owner: Goose would thrive with a confident owner who continues to work on his training and helps him explore new experiences. Love and Care: He deserves a family that will shower him with love and provide a safe, nurturing environment. If you’re interested in welcoming this handsome boy into your home, please reach out to Caitlin at 707-490-8869. And remember, Goose comes with training sessions to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home. Adoption fees include: Spay or Neuter, All vaccinations are up to date, and a microchip. This is Bill! He is a 1 year old, German Shepherd mix. He came to our shelter as a stray back in October of 2023. We don’t know much about his past but what we do know is that he is sweet, affectionate, and very cute! He’s just a gentle, little guy looking for a family to show him that life isn’t so scary! He was polite, quiet, and relaxed when meeting another dog. We are recommending he go into a home with children 13 years and older.

Story
This handsome shepherd is Rusty, and he can’t wait to be someone’s loyal family member. This bright, young dog likes attention from people and would love to accompany you on walks and fun activities. Rusty is food-motivated and shows no signs of food guarding. He can be jumpy, so he needs to learn better manners, along with continued obedience and leash training to really bring out his best. He was a little pushy but overall friendly when meeting a male dog. Adopt Rusty and you’ll have a loving companion for life! Kids 12 and up recommended

Story
We’d like to introduce you to Polo! This good-looking pup is full of curiosity and is seeking a loving family to take him on adventures. Polo loves walks and is an explorer at heart. He pulls moderately on leash, but overall walks pretty well. He was fine being handled all over and allowed food to be taken away. When meeting a male Doberman, Polo engaged calmly at first, then mounted the other dog. Polo was very receptive to the other dog correcting this behavior, then was more cautious. Adopt Polo and you’ll have a fun-loving companion to share your life with! Polo would benefit from continued socialization, obedience and leash training. Kids 12 and up recommended.
