Story
**Julius needs a new foster or adopter ASAP as his current foster is losing her housing. He is dog, cat, and kid-friendly. Transport is available within the continental US for serious adopters.** Hi I’m Julius, and my foster mom says I’m very cute, sweet and cuddly, but also still very much an energetic pup. Check out my video playlist! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmaayP3fyi24mpj4iyqlji1 Julius was saved from the euthanasia list at Stanislaus Shelter. Now in foster care, Julius has been getting some much needed love and attention. Julius loves to play with his toys and cuddle, he is also known to give kisses when he is particularly happy. Julius has done well with both male and female dogs as well as dog savvy cats in the household with slow introduction of course. Julius loves attention and will do almost anything for a delicious treat. Julius has so far gotten along with all cats or dogs he has met. He is also such a good boy in the car and has done great on long car rides. Julius is a very excitable and high energy dog but also very smart. He learned sit, down, off and paw very rapidly while in foster care. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training sessions to help ensure a successful adoption. Julius has decent recall and walks well on the leash. Julius is also crate trained and house-trained. Julius is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you would like to meet Julius to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short, commitment-free adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Blue is a high energy sweetie with the much coveted off switch often missing among her kind. Blue loves to play all the time and needs regular mental stimulation. Want a dog that will sing for her supper? Look no further! The only time Blue gets vocal is when she is excited for her dinner. This little girl is food-motivated and eager to please! Blue is crate-trained and house-trained. She knows sit and stay. Blue is working on walking well on leash as she get a bit excited. Blue also gets a little mouthy when over-excited but it is all in play, there really is not a mean bone in her whole body. Blue loves meeting children and other dogs. Blue does okay with little animals, but they are generally overwhelmed by her size and energy. Blue loves long walks/hikes, playing with other dogs, and keep away games. Her favorite toys are squeaky stuffed toys and rubber toys. Blue is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Blue to see if she is a good fit for your family, fill out our adoption application. www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Isla is a beautiful White German Shepherd who loves to play and run. She would love an athletic family to take her out for fun and adventures. Isla loves swimming, training sessions, grooming time and tug of war. Her favorite game by far though is keep away and she can play that game for hours! Isla is very friendly with people and does great with children! She can get over excited when meeting other dogs, and has prey drive towards cats, so at this time she is recommended to be an only dog. With slow introductions she may do well with another friendly dog. Isla is super smart and curious and is always ready to serve her humans to the best of her ability. She does great with training and picks up new skills quickly. Isla is currently working on her quiet voice when around other dogs and also to ignore the all-too tempting kitties. Isla is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Isla to see if she is a good fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Check out Bolt's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwnuLc7XZT59eY_7i2OHdla7 Bolt loves squeaky toys and they are the key to his heart. Story
This poor guy was left tied to a street post for 3 days before he was rescued. His breed combo is likely Shepherd and Husky. He appears to have been born around 2020 and he weighs 80 pounds. He is an active boy just like his breed mix would suggest. He likes to play with other dogs and has warmed up to the staff nicely. He can be a little nervous at first meeting but if given a chance he will be a loyal buddy. He will likely need someone to teach him his manners since it appears his previous owner didn't give him much of their time. He would benefit from someone with experience as he can be a little stubborn he's allowed to be (typical Shepski!). We have given him his shots, microchipped him and he leaves the shelter neutered. $300.00 will help us with his care. Story
Sweet Todd appears to be a Shepherd Mix of sorts. He is not super tall and weighs 65 pounds. We think he was born around 10/12/2022. He was found wandering as a stray and was never claimed. Todd is up to date on shots, microchipped and neutered. He is a very shy pup who would appreciate a calm, loving home. We know he will be a good boy if just given a chance. He tends to get very attached to the people who care for him on a regular basis, but is nervous when meeting new people at first. A kind person has paid Todd's adoption fee already, so it will be waived to his new adopter. Story
This adorable puppy was born around 8/30/23. Mom was a Shepherd/Husky mix and Dad was a Shepherd as well, but she has a mystery breed appearance to her that we can only guess. She was brought in with her siblings as an accidental litter in need of rehoming, and she's just the last one to go! She has a great personality, calmer than most active breed puppies that we have here, but still has that young, playful attitude. Her new family will have to get her started on potty training once brought home, but Shepherds are very smart. She will be a big, active dog when fully grown. $350.00 adoption fee will help us with the cost of the spay, vaccinations and microchipping. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.
