Story
Taz is the ultimate adventure dog ready to go out on hikes or hang out at the bar with you. Taz has gone on hikes in the Sierras and hung out at his local dog-friendly brewery and made for a great companion. He loves car rides and long walks or runs. Check out Taz's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmrJ7jIwM1VvhkGdyx2X9Ci In terms of training, Taz is still working on building some confidence. He can be a little fearful with new experiences, people and loud noises. That said, he warms up well with a confident handler. Taz is house-trained and crate-trained. Taz is a good walking companion and can loose-leash walk. He is a fantastic dog who loves training and is easily redirected even when he is getting a little naughty. Taz has some herding instincts and would do best in a home familiar with this behavior. He is responding very well to training. Taz has met other dogs at dog parks and has done well. He does not currently live with children or cats so we are unsure as to how he would do with either. He does have prey drive towards small animals such as squirrels (as most dogs do). Taz loves kisses, squeaky toys, antlers, and kong toys. He is moderate energy where he can keep up for a 3 mile run but also is happy to chill on the couch with you. He is a great dog and eager to make a connection with you. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary private or group training as needed to help ensure a successful adoption. If you are interested in meeting Taz to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, a Better World Rescue volunteer will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
**Julius is currently in a board and train for basic obedience, and will be well-trained for his forever home** Hi I’m Julius, and my foster mom says I’m very cute, sweet and cuddly, but also still very much an energetic pup who needs to learn some manners, but we are working on it!! Check out my video playlist! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmaayP3fyi24mpj4iyqlji1 Julius was saved from the euthanasia list at Stanislaus Shelter. Now in foster care, Julius has been getting some much needed love and attention. Julius loves to play with his toys and cuddle, he is also known to give kisses when he is particularly happy. Julius has done well with both male and female dogs as well as dog savvy cats in the household with slow introduction of course. Julius also tolerates full body touching, paw holding, ear and tail touching. Julius has so far gotten along with all cats or dogs he has met. He is also such a good boy in the car and has done great on long car rides. Due to Julius’s life as a stray and his time at the shelter, he will need someone who is able to spend time and patience working on his training and allow him to decompress and slowly introduce him to a new space. Julius is a very excitable and high energy dog but also very smart. In the short time he has been in foster he has learned sit, down, off and paw. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training sessions to help ensure a successful adoption. Julius is diligently working on recall and leash etiquette, while he still pulls on walks he is becoming easier and easier to correct as he gets used to proper walking. Julius is also being crate trained, while he is still vocal at times and would rather be with his human he is adjusting and sleeping through the night in his crate. Julius is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you would like to meet Julius to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short, commitment-free adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Millie is a very mellow, sweet, easy to live with dog. She is good with dogs, cats and children alike! Millie is mostly German Shepherd with some American Bully and a little American Staffordshire Terrier too. She is 100% cuddly though! She has great house manners and she's happy to cuddle up to watch TV just as much as quietly laying in her dog bed with her favorite nylabone chew toy for a munch. Check out Millie's video playlist to see her in action: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6Cwm8AGTJrjIwIN_K8V24-Z-I Millie loves fetch of all kinds, she can play until she's exhausted, but usually she needs just a little exercise on a typical day and is low to medium energy. Millie loves to be hugged, she will push her head against your chest and demand you hug her and she makes soft, happy little grunts when you give in. Millie loves playing with dogs of all ages and sizes and she's social and playful, but also fine as a solo dog. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate every night quietly, she knows 'inside' to go in. She knows come, sit, off, no, and load up for car rides. She rides well in the car. Millie was the mom of 10 puppies so she is still a bit shy and hesitant meeting new people, but she warms up fast and loves to be pet and loved on. Millie has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Bring home this sweet momma today! Fill out an application at: https://betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application/ One of our volunteers will reach out within one business day to set up a meet and greet and answer any questions.

Story
This poor guy was left tied to a street post for 3 days before he was rescued. His breed combo is likely Shepherd and Husky. He appears to have been born around 2020 and he weighs 80 pounds. He is an active boy just like his breed mix would suggest. He likes to play with other dogs and has warmed up to the staff nicely. He can be a little nervous at first meeting but if given a chance he will be a loyal buddy. He will likely need someone to teach him his manners since it appears his previous owner didn't give him much of their time. He would benefit from someone with experience as he can be a little stubborn he's allowed to be (typical Shepski!). We have given him his shots, microchipped him and he leaves the shelter neutered. $300.00 will help us with his care. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Sweet Todd appears to be a Shepherd Mix of sorts. He is not super tall and weighs 65 pounds. We think he was born around 10/12/2022. He was found wandering as a stray and was never claimed. Todd is up to date on shots, microchipped and neutered. He is a very shy pup who would appreciate a calm, loving home. We know he will be a good boy if just given a chance. He tends to get very attached to the people who care for him on a regular basis, but is nervous when meeting new people at first. A kind person has paid Todd's adoption fee already, so it will be waived to his new adopter. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie currently lives with another large dog and gets along well with her. She will even snap at him sometimes and he will not really react. He simply wants to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.
