I play nicely with other dogs, and don't let my age fool you...I still have plenty of pep in my step! I can't wait to love you! I am very timid with new people. I need an adopter who can commit to multiple meetings over time before I could come home with you. Loud noises are scary so a calm and quiet living environment with only one or two adults would be best for me. I would not do well living in an apartment or shared wall situation. I need a fenced yard. I'm crate trained and dog-door trained! I love to play with other dogs. I'd love a dog friend to play with me and a big back yard to run around in. I need a quiet home with only one or two people. I love to work for treats! I need to have a house with fenced in yard. I don’t have experience being around cats. I don't like loud noises. Children are often loud, so I prefer to not be around them. I would do best in a home without children. I’m shy but I love relaxed and loving people. I’m crate trained and dog-door trained!

We got Atlas earlier this year from the HSPPR, and we were hopeful that he would do well in our home with our two cats, but even with a lot of patience and practice, he still gets anxious when is inside around them. He is currently living in our garage/backyard, and while this is fine short term, he deserves a home where he can be indoors with his humans without the stress of small animals. Atlas is a smart and affectionate dog, and enjoys playing fetch and playing with his Kong ball. He’s quick to learn new tricks and is very food motivated.
