Story
Hello! I'm a sweet and shy 13yr old boy who wants a calm household. I would not do well living in an apartment/condo/townhome, but I would excel at keeping your yard free from critters. I play nicely with other dogs, and don't let my age fool you...I still have plenty of pep in my step! I can't wait to love you! I am very timid with new people. I need an adopter who can commit to multiple meetings over time before I could come home with you. Loud noises are scary so a calm and quiet living environment with only one or two adults would be best for me. I would not do well living in an apartment or shared wall situation. I need a fenced yard. I'm crate trained and dog-door trained! I love to play with other dogs. I'd love a dog friend to play with me and a big back yard to run around in. I need a quiet home with only one or two people. I love to work for treats! I need to have a house with fenced in yard. I don’t have experience being around cats. I don't like loud noises. Children are often loud, so I prefer to not be around them. I would do best in a home without children. I’m shy but I love relaxed and loving people. I’m crate trained and dog-door trained!

Story
Indy is a shy 10-month-old German Shepherd mix. She is very smart and food motivated and would benefit from continued training to build her confidence. She would do best in a patient and experienced home where she can learn to trust her humans. Once she learns to trust you, she is very sweet and loves nothing more than snuggling and going on car rides. Indy would like a home with another social dog as she loves playing with her dog friends. Because of her shy demeanor, she would do best in a home with adults only, and no children under 13. Indy loves playing with a variety of toys, and especially loves bones, rope toys, and toys with squeakers. She'd love a home with a yard to run around in and continue to explore the world. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, and playful pup, Indy is the one for you! Indy's adoption fee includes a personalized training program.

Highlights: -Could do well with kids -Could do well with other dogs or as only dogI am part of the "Go BIG for Summer" adoption promotion and my adoption fee is reduced to $200 (instead of $350) through August 31st!Hi, I'm Sage, a six-year-old female German Shepherd weighing 95 pounds. I'm an extremely friendly and personable girl who loves making new friends, both human and canine. Around the shelter, I'm known for my bubbly personality and heartwarming smile.I do need to lose some weight, but it's tricky because my back hips cause me discomfort. I'm looking for a family who can help me find alternative ways to get some exercise that don't cause me pain. Despite my size, my heart is even bigger, and I'm ready to win yours and keep it forever. Are you the caring family who can help me stay healthy and happy? Let's share smiles and create beautiful memories together!- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Helloooo!! I'm Lina!!I may be an older gal, but don't let that fool you!! I love to go on adventures with my human out on hiking trails or staying in and playing! I like to please my human and know a few basic obedience, but I can always learn new things too! I would love to have a fenced in yard to play in and keep me safe! I can be a little picky with my canine friends as I like to be top dog and I'm not too keen on feline friends. If you think I might be the lovely pup for you, please call my friends at TCRAS at (719) 686 7707! Current weight is 64 lbs.

Story
We got Atlas earlier this year from the HSPPR, and we were hopeful that he would do well in our home with our two cats, but even with a lot of patience and practice, he still gets anxious when is inside around them. He is currently living in our garage/backyard, and while this is fine short term, he deserves a home where he can be indoors with his humans without the stress of small animals. Atlas is a smart and affectionate dog, and enjoys playing fetch and playing with his Kong ball. He’s quick to learn new tricks and is very food motivated. If you are interested, you can fill out an application and we can set up a time to meet and greet!
