Story
This beautiful GSD is Mila! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 12/28, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. We're surprised no one is missing her, she sure is a great dog! While a bit anxious (which could be due to the overwhelming shelter environment), she is very friendly and smart! She can follow voice and hand commands for sit and down. She is also very treat/food motivated, so she'll be eager to learn new things. Mila is also very playful and fun-loving; make sure you can keep up with her! If you're looking for an active, new BFF to join you on life's grand adventures, please come meet this sweet girl! Mila is approximately 1.5 years old, and she weighs 55 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Mila is waiting patiently in run 21; her ID # is 7192. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Story
I adopted Rahlo from the Marietta, GA shelter in November of 2023. He was 4 years old at the time. He is a short legged German Shepard mix. He had some trouble trusting people at first but I hired a trainer and worked with him for 8 months until he got better. He is now 6 years old and acts just like a puppy. He loves the outdoors and going on walks. When indoors he loves cuddles and playing with his toys. I'm hoping to find someone who is patient, playful and will take good care of him. I rescued him from a shelter and am really hoping not to bring him back there since he is an older dog. I'm not sure how he is with kids since I've never seen him around children. He is very food oriented so training him will be easy. He will not go the the bathroom in the house, but don't make him wait too long, he will make an effort not too, cause he'll feel bad if he does.

Story
Ms. Hazel Wazel is quite the character. It breaks my heart to part ways with her as I can no longer keep her with my housing situation. She’s very sweet and smart! I’ve had her since she was a  baby and over the years I’ve taught her quite the vocabulary and tricks and she’s quite fine with people getting in her mouth. She knows: Sit, Lay down, Come Here, I love you, Play, Potty, Outside, Treat, Up (To get her to jump for something), Paw, Gentle, Wait, Stay (She stays better when treat motivated), What are you doing?, No, Move, Park, Walk. She’s been prone to nightime accidents and wandering herself into things she shouldn’t be so when it comes to leaving her home or bedtime I have a cage for her that she’s quite comfortable in. She’s very teachable and quite the character to add to your home/ family dynamic with some Patience, Love, and Care.

Story
I’m Princess La Reyna and my fairy tale is just starting with you! I am 4 years old, healthy and spayed. I am a pure-bred German Shepherd. Clearly, I am so pretty, but I’m also an amazing girl. I weigh 57lb and am friendly with other dogs. I am not great in dog parks because I get so excited, but I am ok with one or two dogs. I love to give hugs and try to see you at eye level, so I could use a little training on “sit”. But once I learn my simple commands, I’ll be loyal companion and active walking buddy! I came to the rescue with a uterus infection, but I’m all cleared up with a clean bill of health, microchip, and negative heartworm test. My ideal forever home would include space for me to run on a regular basis, and an owner who understands the needs of German Shepherds.

Story
Lailee was abandoned in an apartment complex where I lived in Columbus Georgia. I didn't want her to be euthanized, I had that fear when I took her to animal control. I met a man who saw my tears because I didn't want to leave her after being with me 3 days. The older gentleman agreed to keep her till I got ready to return to Atlanta. He had a stroke recently. I'm now here and looking for housing for myself. Sleeping in my car here and there. Lailee needs a stable home. She's loving, energetic and playful.

Story
Emmie is a one-year-old, 42-pound shepherd mix from a shelter we work with a lot because they send good dogs to us. They have really good volunteers who get to know the dogs, and there is a play yard at the shelter, so you can see how the dogs react. As usual, Emmie is a really good, sweet, loving, calm, and clean dog that would make a great companion. Story
❗Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story : Meet Hyonie👋 the sweetest gentlest soul! Hyonie was found in a park in South Korea at four months old in March 2022 and taken to a high-risk shelter alongside her two sisters. Luckily, they were saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team. While one of her sisters lives with a foster family, Hyonie is still in the crowded shelter, awaiting her forever family. • Personality: Affectionate, Submissive, Smart Hyonie may seem a little shy at first, but she is surprisingly a BIG cuddler to people, which means that all she needs is a little bit of time to open up in the beginning. She would thrive on affection as she loves to be petted all the time! She would be a great fit if you are searching for a cuddly pup. She learns things quickly as she is a food-driven smart cookie. You will definitely find training her a part of the joyful journey with her! • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. She’s a submissive and gentle type of dog. -Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Unknown for kids • Shedding : 5-6 • Walking Manner : in training and improving! • Housetrained : Hyonie knows how to use pee-pads even though she lives in the shelter. She may go potty indoors (pads) and outdoors both when adopted. • Food Allergies : No. • Bathing/Brushing : Good • Bark or Howl : Barks a little bit toward strangers • Likes & Dislikes : She likes going for walks, playing with toys, and chewing stuff. / She doesn’t like being kept in confined spaces. • Health : She has had two of her toes removed due to blocked circulation of blood caused by blankets tangled around her toes. She's been fully recovered and now fine walking and jumping!
