Hi my name is Matt Parra and I have a 4 year old German Shepherd, Bane. He is very high energy and has been an excellent addition to our family with 1 exception. My wife, Danielle, and I have 3 sons: Jakob (18 years old), Hendrix (11 years old), and Sebastian (9 years old). My oldest has always been kind of timid when it comes to Bane and they have always had a kind of odd relationship. On 3 separate occasions he has bitten my oldest and the last occasion, 2 months ago, was very serious. For the past 2 months I have been trying to keep track of where Bane is and where my son is at all times and it is wearing on me. At this point quality of life has been diminished for Bane, my oldest, and myself. This is very hard for me as Bane and I have a great relationship and he has never been aggressive to my younger sons, my wife, or myself. At this point my wife simply cannot trust him and I completely understand where she is coming from.

This perfect boy has been at the shelter since March. He came in as a stray with his brother, who has been adopted. Frederic is a fun dog with the best temperament. He is very dog friendly, housebroken and kennel trained. He loves kids and all people. He is great on a leash and in the car. He knows sit and has great manners, although if food is left on the kitchen counter, he might do some counter surfing. He is not sure about cats but could do well with a slow intro. He is a chill dog but up for playtime and walks. He would do well in any type of home. He would be a wonderful family dog but also could do well with someone living in an apartment that wants a best buddy to go on adventures with. Frederic is 2 years old, microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He's looking forward to meeting you soon!

He has learned fetch and releases the ball most of the time. His potty training has been going very well. He sits at the door when he needs out. We've had very few accidents. He loves to play laser tag. He has a lot of energy. He gets along with other dogs . He does bark at cats. He's good around kids but doesn't know personal space. He loves being outside and walking the perimeter of the fence. He also will stand guard. He has learned to sit and stay for meals until prompted to go ahead and eat. He does well on a leash. Little did she know i’m not a social butterfly! I don’t like strangers or other doggies, my mom calls me “reactive” whatever that means. Really i’m just scared! My mom loves me with her whole heart, but she’s leaving for college soon and thinks i’d be much happier and less stressed with someone else! My mom has never had a pup before, so having one with some special qualities like myself is something she really isn’t equipped for. I am really lovely to the people I trust though! I LOVE belly rubs, and squeaky toys! I like toys more than any food, my mom thinks it’s hilarious! I am very smart and know quite a few tricks! I’m also head-turning gorgeous if you care about that sorta thing. My mom says I need a home with someone experienced with dogs like me! And a big yard so I can run would be an awesome perk!
