We rescued Leo 10+ years ago, and he's been an excellent dog since. He's a mix of three working breeds - German Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog, and Bluetick Coonhound - and will be 12 years old in January. He's extremely obedient and smart, and needs 20-30 minutes of daily physical and mental exercise. He is very much a German Shepherd, and loves looking out a window during the day. He loves snuggling on the couch. We are rehoming Leo because he is not good with our one-year old child. He is not patient when the baby crawls on him, and has had an episode of snapping (no actual bites have occurred). Leo does not belong in a home with young children. He needs to be in a home - no apartments - with adults who will meet his exercise needs and treat him well in his later years. He gets spells of anxiety from time to time, and any new owner would need to be patient with him. We love him and don't want to re-home him, but our infant is priority one.

Max is a male, 6 months old, 29 pounds, German Shepherd mix. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is a very sweet dog who likes to chew on his toys. He has learned fetch and releases the ball most of the time. His potty training has been going very well. He sits at the door when he needs out. We've had very few accidents. He loves to play laser tag. He has a lot of energy. He gets along with other dogs . He does bark at cats. He's good around kids but doesn't know personal space. He loves being outside and walking the perimeter of the fence. He also will stand guard. He has learned to sit and stay for meals until prompted to go ahead and eat. He does well on a leash. Spayed Female Age: 3-5 Size: 55-65 lbs Jambalaya was rescued from life on the streets where her previous owners left her outdoors to roam downtown kansas city and did not provide her shelter or care. Neighbors saw that she was losing her hair and looked thin, so they contacted us to step in. We were able to get her signed over to our care and have begun treatment for her mange which was the cause of her hair loss. Jambalaya is very sweet, affectionate, loves walks, and loves snacks! She has tested well with dogs around her size and would love a home where she can be a couch potato! She is fairly laid back as long as she gets her regular walks and outside time. She does get anxious in kennels and would love a home with someone who could be home with her more often than not, or would take her along on adventures! Chocho is a 2 year old German Shepherd Great Pyrenees mix. She is an amazing dog who loves to be outside and roam, play and have fun. She is an escape artist but not by jumping she sneaks out with her sister who is a Great Pyrenees. ChiCho is an amazing dog and well loved, we are sad to rehome but are moving and the new area does not allow dogs and also does not have a yard for ChoCho to love her best life. She is not aggressive at all, loves kids but has not been around toddlers. Also never been around cats but does love dogs! She will chase birds and squirrels in the yard.
