He is named after Matthias Jabs, the lead guitarist for the German band the Scorpions. And just like his namesake our Matthias is sure to be a rock star! Matthias is a great dog! He needs a 6ft fence. Good with most other dogs but likes to play and can be overwhelming for all but the highest energy dogs. He would be fine as an only dog with a very active family. T-bone is now by himself in an outdoor pen being cared for by friends until he is discovered by his new family. Unfortunately the friends that are caring for him have four Dogs of their own and feel that he deserves a home of his own. T-bone is a healthy, young at heart 9 yr. old neutered German Shepherd. He is a Happy Guy who loves to go for walks and walks well on leash. If you are looking for a walking or hiking buddy or a canine friend to share your farm or land, T Bone may be your guy! Meet Joe, who originally came to us from the Rowan County Animal Shelter. Joe is a 1–2-year-old, 52 lb., German Shepherd. He has had all of shots is neutered and is microchipped. He came to us as rescue only due to fear issues. He is not aggressive in any way, nor does he shake / tremble. He is just nervous. Joe was adopted from us several months ago, but unfortunately, he stayed out in the yard because the adopters said they couldn't catch him, so they just left him out. The adopters returned him back to us on 12/30/23. Joe gets along well with all sized dogs and is social. While in foster care before he got adopted, he had started wagging his tail and socializing but now with the previous adopters not really working with him he's back to being shut down again. He will need time to adjust and get comfortable with his new home and does require a 6 ft. fence and having another dog (for companionship) in the family. Meet Buddy, who comes to us from the community. Buddy is a 1-year-old, 60 lb., German Shepherd mix. Buddy is a wonderful companion but does struggle with being dog reactive and can show dominance towards other dogs. He is the best side kick who walks wonderfully on a leash, rides well in a car, is housebroken, has had professional training, and is great in public!
