Story
Meet Sammy. Sammy is a 5 years old mutt. We think he may be a mix of German Shepherd and Corgi considering his look. But we are not sure. Sammy has a strong personality (ht thinks). But he loves to give kisses and cuddles. Sammy is good with other dogs. He likes to hump dogs first time he meets them to show his dominance. Once he knows the dog, he would stop. Sammy is very food motivated. He is quiet most of the time. He is strong but walks nicely. Sammy is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He weighs 30 lbs. He is almost house trained. Sammy's adoption fee is $250. Submit your application at https://charlieswishanimalrescue.org. We have to have your application to set up a meet and greet.

Story
Hi my name is Richard and I am going to the military very soon. My dog’s name Is Han and he is a very good dog. Han listens very well and I had him almost 9 years since he was 5 weeks old. Han loves toys and sleeping with me. Han is an inside dog and is well potty trained. Han can be left out of the cage to roam the house while you’re at work. Han is very smart and picks up on new things very fast and sometimes I think he smarter than me. Han has never bit anyone or any human. Han listens so well that I walk him without a leash. Han has been my best friend for 9 years and my friends and family say I treat him just like my daughter and son’s. I am very hurt and depressed that I have to re home him due to the military. I pray that he can enjoy the rest of his life with somebody who’s going to love him just as much as I have. I would also like to keep in touch with his new owner and buy Han toys, food, help with doctor’s appointments and flee meds. Han was well kept and clean. (xxx) xxx-xxxx

She is very strong and her owner should be able to handle her. Lotte came to RO positive for heartworm and a double ear infection.  She has come a long way since January and is now feeling healthy and relaxed. She is on activity rest, but enjoys hanging with her foster family in the fenced backyard or leashed on the front porch with them and their two other dogs. She is a large dog and doesn’t know her size so she may do best in a home with a little bit more room and maybe no small kids that she might accidentally knock over. Likes: Plushy toys with a squeaker in it. She is also a fan of frozen bones with salmon and pumpkin for a crate time treat. Dislikes: Lotte is pretty easy going but does love it best when she is with her people What makes this dog special: Lotte has a tipped ear and we don’t know why, but despite that, she is a stunning girl who deserves to be shown off with pride! She will fill any home with love and devotion. Lotte's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. He's a great pup. Likes: Duke loves to chew. It may be the puppy in him but bones make him happy. He is nervous in car and walking but with treats, he will follow you anywhere. Pepperoni was part of a litter of eight puppies rescued several months ago. He was adopted together with one of his siblings, but circumstances have changed and Pepperoni is in need of a new forever home! He is crate-trained, housebroken, neutered, and has been through a beginner obedience class. Their mom says he is a quick learner, very obedient, and likes to track things. That tracking includes chasing cats, so Pepperoni needs a home with no cats or other small pets. He likes kids but can knock down smaller children while he is loving them. Apply to adopt Pepperoni at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $250.

Story
Its a very time for Katie. This is Katie, and her dad is Kenny. Kenny is a Vietnam War Veteran who lived alone and suffered from PTSD. In 2021, we received several calls from Kenny expressing his desperate need for a companion, a dog. You could hear the urgency in his voice. In February 2021, Kenny met Katie, and from that day on, they were inseparable. Katie slept with him, ate with him, walked with him on his farm, and they took rides together. Kenny frequently sent us messages and letters thanking us for Katie and sharing how she had changed his life.Kenny has moving to hospice care. Katie (and another dog we need to learn more about) are alone in the house, being cared for by friend. We will be getting Katie this weekend and may have to place her in boarding unless we can find a foster or adopter. Im sure Katie is scared and confused. We are also hoping to arrange visits for Katie & Kenny once we get more details from Hospice.Katie is 5 years old and a little overweight . Our team rescued Katie in Southern Ohio where she was running as a stray. Katie is good with other dogs, house trained, has perfect house behavior (never crated) and the perfect companion for anyone needing a friend. If you are able to foster or adopt this scared, dearly loved girl, please apply at ricopetrecovery.org.

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this wonderful girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
