Boa

German Shepherd Dog

Male, Adult
Jefferson, WI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
2 years old (estimated) Neutered male Has done well with other dogs at the shelter No known experience with cats or children Boa is a sweet, friendly, and athletic boy who loves being outside, wrestling with his doggie pals, and soaking up all the butt scratches he can get! He’s a pro at sitting nicely for treats, and while his leash manners could use a little work (he’s got a bit of a pull), he’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who’s ready to learn — especially if treats are involved. If you’re looking for an energetic, fun-loving companion, Boa’s your guy! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.March 19, 2025, 3:20 pm

I really need a family with another dog (or can be only dog), a securely fenced yard and someone that works from home. You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out an application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other I need an active German Shepherd family home. Patty is a 8 mos old 45 lb active German Shepherd mix (probably some Belgian Malnois) I will do best with an active alpha German Shepherd experienced owner with a secure 6 ft fenced yard. I am a semi energetic happy gal that LOVES my people unconditionally. I do like other dogs and cats. I like daily walks, car rides, toys, dog beds and hanging out with my humans. I am house trained and crate trained. (but much prefer being free and hanging out with my humans ....do you work from home?) I will require daily walks and some dog training. No children under 6 yrs of age. I am NOT an apartment or condo dog. I am a family pet! This is a courtesy post for Helotes Humane Society You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Lone Ranger is a lovable German Shepherd who will forever be a giant puppy at heart! With his sweet personality and endless energy, he’s ready to bring joy and love to any home. While Lone Ranger has special needs due to hip dysplasia and swimmer’s syndrome, he doesn’t let that slow him down. He loves to try to play, though he may tire out faster after long walks as his legs become weak. His playful spirit is truly contagious, but it's important to note that he may need breaks to rest. Lone Ranger would do best in a home with older children, as his size and wobbly movements can be a bit much for younger ones. He’s very strong and a giant bundle of puppy energy! Although he can be a little mouthy, using his mouth to communicate, he is not aggressive and never tries to bite. He’s also okay with cats, but he might get a bit too enthusiastic and “in their face” while trying to play, so the cats will need to be tolerant of his playful nature. Lone Ranger gets along well with other dogs, but since he's still learning how to communicate with them, he can sometimes be a bit much. Having spent the first few months of his life locked in a crate, the crate is no longer his safe space, and he’ll need patience and encouragement to relearn that it’s okay. At the end of the day, Lone Ranger is a cuddly, loving dog who craves attention and affection. He would love nothing more than to snuggle up with his people after a fun play session. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic, and affectionate companion who will bring so much love into your life, Lone Ranger might just be the perfect fit. Come meet him today and let him show you what a special pup he truly is! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/available-dogs

Story
Say hello to DINO! This bundle of joy came into the rescue and stole everyone’s heart immediately. His kind endearing eyes will make your heart melt. Dino was a puppy that was found by a wonderful person at the person’s place of employment. He fed Dino daily and allowed him to sleep in his car on his lunch breaks. Dino remained loyal and stayed around the place of work until they reached out for help from the rescue. To this day he loves cars and feels very safe from the outside cruel world inside of one. Dino has now been placed in a loving foster home and is learning to play wonderful with the foster’s big dogs and puppies that are fostering with him half his size. Dino is doing great in a crate and potty training. This guy catches on really quick. He is so appreciative of having a safe environment to thrive. He will lay on you or keep his head in your lap forever if you will allow. Personality: Dino is goofy, energetic, and playful! He does well with correction. Dino would be great in a home with another dog to keep showing the ropes of puppy life. He is soooooo ready to be your new best friend and would love a home where he can grow to be a wonderful life long family companion. Once adopted Dino will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
