Story
Petunia, Golden Retriever/Poodle/Australian Cattle Dog/Kelpie. 1 yr. 42 lbs. Petunia spent the first 14 weeks in a wire kennel. Because she didn’t get out of the kennel for so long and did not have much exposure to the outside world, she will take time to work up confidence to experience new situations in a new home. Petunia is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She’s somewhat bossy with other dogs so would probable do better as on only dog. She needs a home with someone home most of the time to give her the attention she has never had. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

She loves to wade in her swimming pool and is good with other dogs. She needs home with someone home most of the time AND with another young dog to help her learn how to trust. Story
We're so golden!! Hi, we are the gold puppies, a nice person brought us to the shelter after they witnessed us being dumped on the side of the road! I'm a friendly and curious pup who loves exploring new places. My world is full of exciting smells, sounds, and sights. I'm always ready to learn new tricks and I pick them up quickly because I'm smart. When I'm not busy exploring or learning, I love spending time with people. I'm always ready for a cuddle or a game of fetch. I'm a loyal friend who will always be there to brighten your day. Adopting me means bringing joy, fun, and a whole lot of love into your life. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2148226##
