Rylo came in with another dog as an owner surrender. Unfortunately they could no longer care for them so he is currently at the shelter. Rylo is a little bit over a year old and is a retriever mix. He walks well on leash, and already knows the "sit" cue. Rylo may take some time to warm up to people, but so far he is doing quite well with making new friends slowly! Rylo is a playful pup and would do best in an active home, where his new family can take him on some outdoor adventures! Misty URGENT Foster Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Misty. This 10yr old female Retriever/Shepherd mix finds herself in urgent need of a temporary place to call home. Sadly, Misty and her mom lost their current home. Mom is doing all she can to find a new place to live that will allow her to take Misty back, but it has proven to be quite the challenge. She is essentially going to be without a home herself in the near future. THOSE EYES tell you all you need to know. Misty’s early life was not a happy one, leaving her with a bit of anxiety. She is really smart but very shy around new people, especially men. She would do best in an adult-only household. Misty can be aggressive/protective around other dogs, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. She can also be skittish with outside noises, but she is actually very loveable and obedient and she loves her toys. Misty will not do well if she ends up in a shelter. Toby is a 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever who is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heart worm negative and will be neutered upon adoption.
