Story
Fitness was born in July 2021, and we’ve had her since she was 11 weeks old. She is full of energy and is a loyal dog that guards her pack. She is eager to go on daily walks and she likes to bark at other dogs and moving objects such as bikers/scooters/skate boarders. She likes to be caressed, petted, and especially loves belly rubs. She is very alert and can focus well during training sessions. At dog parks, she gets along with other dogs. She is used to grooming and staying at dog boarding facilities, and when we pick her up, the staff always mentioned how sociable and sweet she was and that she never had any issues with other dogs.

Pineapple is looking for a new home where she has more room to romp around and live her very best life. We promised this gal we would find that perfect home. Pineapple weighs 70 pounds and every inch of her is bursting with adoration and excitement to be with her people. If you are looking for a faithful companion ready to take on the world with you, look no further than Pineapple. She promises to be the sweetest addition to any family fruit salad. Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Adopt Pineapple!      Pineapple is a loyal and loving dog who is ready to be the star of her family. Like a good Pyr, she loves knowing where her people are and would love to hang out on the couch or head out on an adventure. She is smart and very curious, eating her food out of her numerous puzzle feeders. She picks up on new tricks quickly and loves showing off for treats! She loves playing with water, pouncing on the spray from the house and delighting all her admirers. Pineapple is a fabulous mix of active and relaxed. She’s happy to hit the trails when you want to romp outside but can also settle in for a long snuggle session on the couch. Her party trick? She knows how to put herself to bed and tuck herself in with a blanket. Pineapple would thrive in a home ready for an active lifestyle with a canine companion. She would love a home ready to provide a job or lots of stimulation for her. She’s basically the dream activity companion. What more could you want in a furry friend!  Pineapple starts her day around 7:30 AM in bed with her people, stretching her long legs before she gets up and follows the family downstairs. She goes outside for a potty break and then comes inside for breakfast around 8 AM. During the day, she gets either a trip to the dog park or a long romp in the hills. She is great at occupying herself with her toys and her bed when her foster mom needs to get some work done. She loves to sniff around the yard and explore her surroundings. She keeps her domain squirrel free and she’s the best fly swatter. In the evening, Pineapple has dinner around 6 PM followed by some playtime with her family. She goes outside for one last potty trip and then settles into bed around 10 PM. Pineapple lives with a senior dog and they get along well for the most part. Sometimes the older pup needs a break from puppy energy and Pineapple knows when to back off. Her best friend is a 30 pound doodle mix. Pineapple is working on her leash walking skills and will need a home with large breed experience as she learns not to pull. She is completely house trained. Pineapple is a great faux guard dog and will bark to alert strangers on her turf! Pineapple is so beautiful, smart, and goofy. She is such a special dog. Don’t wait, pick up Pineapple today!      Pineapple is only an option for homes with prior experience owning a large breed dog. Interested homes must be prepared to discuss ongoing training plans. Kids in the home should be over the age of 12.August 19, 2024, 11:40 pm

Story
3/10/22: Nova now needs a new experienced foster home or forever home as the only dog. She did great with adopter's 2 adult dogs but now at 9 mos. old she wants to the top alpha dog at home. With her people she is very sweet smart attentive treat motivated and loves snuggling. She needs to be the only dog in home. No other dog or cats in home. From her foster/adopters: She is a big active girl who loves walks playing fetch and splashing around in her kiddie pool. Nova was originally adopted by her foster family who have had her since she was 9 weeks old and absolutely adore her. Unfortunately despite growing up with their other dogs and doing great with them as a small puppy as she grew to be the largest member of the pack she became reactive toward other dogs. Her family has worked with trainers on this issue. She is a very smart girl and is improving in public settings. Unfortunately Nova is just not well-suited for life in a multi-dog household. Nova is cuddly and lovable with her people. She is a highly trainable girl as she is very food-motivated and a fast learner. She has been through puppy training and excelled in agility activities. She does well in a crate. Nova is a sweet girl who just needs some solo attention. She would do well with an experienced handler in a home with no other animals or small children. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ejWd5yRDRpNBCQCt8 Below is from Nova's original posting in 2021: We took in Nova from a kind lady that rescued her mom from a field in Bakersfield. Mom was starved and very skinny. Most likely dumped. Soon mom gave birth to one puppy. The guardian took her mom to her vet and had x-rays done and no other pups. Nova is very special. Lady that found her already has 2 dogs (one senior dog with medical needs) and busy work schedule so she asked us to take in Nova to ensure her puppy training care and socials. Nova is doing great at her foster home. She has huge paws double rare dew claws fluffy and very sweet. Not sure what breed mix she is. Mom is 60 lbs and very sweet. She will need a home with yard prefer another dog at home and experience with large dogs. Nova will be ready in 2-3 weeks after all her vet care. More info. to come. 8/21/21 update: It took her 4-5 days to start playing with foster home's dog. Will chase the ball and chewing. Does like to dig. Loves food and treats. Going out to yard for potty biz and few accidents inside.August 20, 2024, 12:24 am
