Story
Daisy, great pyrenees, female, 9 yo, 95 lbSweet Daisy was surrendered by the breeder because she was not fit for breeding any more. She spent her life in a kennel with a dog run and was quite cautious at first to go cross country in our big yard. Now she enjoys the freedom to run and the smell of rain and grass. Good with dogs. She is super sweet, calm and a little shy at first. She would love to be part of a family at last. She is our favorite and brings lots of joy to everyone she meets! Daisy needs a fenced yard with least 5' tall fence as she can run very fast and far. Adoption fee $325. Story
My name is Elsa I'm a very loving playful dog. I watch everything around when outside and I am great for watching perimeters and protecting my home. I am a dog that loves to run and walk I would love a family to take me in due to the fact my owners are unable to keep me. I was adopted by them from the dumb friends League and I would make a very good dog for your home if you give me love and attention you won't be disappointed.

Story
Hello, I'm Rooney and even though I'm a big boy, I am polite and gentle and sweet. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, drop it and ok. I am very social and like to meet new dogs and people. I am potty trained and crate trained. I like to go with the flow and even though I have a lot of energy to give, I don't mind snuggling up by your feet while you work or relax in the evenings. My tender personality makes me eager to find a family to bond with forever! I will do best in a home with no young children, I like to herd them as my instincts tell me to!  ##1744898##

Story
Ruth was rescued from a farm in Nevada where she was going to be put down for being deaf. She’s a real super sweet goof ball that loves to be outside. She struggles with anxiety especially when left alone so she’d love her next owner to be able to shower her with as much love and presence as possible. She is very unsure around kids but has never been aggressive (but she will try to heard them). She pays attention well and follows commands wonderfully. She’s love a farm or land that she can call her own.

Story
Update 8-10-24: Check out Sunday's Facebook Live video, made by an amazing SDR volunteer and freshly posted yesterday! fb.watch/tTjeoIHPrN/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Meet Sunday! Sunday is an adorable 8-month-old, 34-lb. Pyrenees/Aussie Cattle Dog mix who we expect to stay in the medium weight range as she grows. She’s sweet, loving and playful; and she’s housetrained, spayed and up to date on her veterinary care. Sunday has had a lot of really good training and knows her doggie cues. She's really good in a car. She has occasional separation anxiety, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal. She loves to play and would love to go to a home with a fenced yard. Sunday has a resource guarding problem with the other dog in her house, so her family and trainers all feel she’d do better in a new living situation with no other dogs in the home. Smaller dogs seem to trigger some behavioral issues for Sunday — probably because of some stressful event in her life before her family adopted her — but she’s been good with bigger dogs on the street. She's untested with cats, so for now we're saying no cats in the home. But she's really good with the kids in her current family, and could go to a home with kids over the age of 8. She’s great on a leash (unless there’s a bunny nearby!). This beautiful girl is very sweet and loving with her people and with strangers she meets. For more info and/or to apply to adopt Sunday, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
