My name is Gabby, and my story is an amazing and amazing that im.here today. I was born sometime around the first or second week of October to a purebred. Great Pyrenees. My mom lived on land that a farmer owned and he never spayed her and soon she met up with a Doodle that was roaming on the land that she was protecting. The next thing you know, there were eight of us born out in the pasture and for the first 8 to 9 weeks of our life, we lived in a hole in the ground. Critter cavalry was called by a lady that knew all 8 of us.puppies needed help. I am looking for just the perfect home that will understand the Great Pyrenees influence in my DNA. I am a little girl that loves to play with the various farm animals where my foster family lives. I'm extremely cuddly and I am very cute, or so I'm told. I will grow up to be a 75 pound girl with long soft fur and a happy, carefree personality. I have learned how to ring the bell at the door to go out to potty and my foster mom has been working with me to teach other important commands like sit and shake. I will be a devoted companion that will promise to go on lots of adventures with you in life. I want to make sure that I bring lots of fun and love to my family. Meet Layla, the reigning queen of relaxation! This sweet 60 pound, Aussie/Great Pry mix pretty girl loves to take it easy, whether it's lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, or snoozing her day away in her favorite spot. At 6 years of age, Layla has made is known that she prefers a calm, peaceful environment where she can indulge in her love of napping without too much excitement. She’ll happily keep you company during your quiet moments, and will always be up for a long walk or playtime with feline friends who are her favorite four-legged friends. Layla would do best in a home without young children or other dogs, as she loves her space and enjoys a slower, more serene pace of life. If you're seeking a loyal, affectionate companion who values comfort above all else, Layla is your perfect match. This beauty is housebroken and loves to run around the yard with her people. Years ago Layla decided that she wanted to be the only dog in her home and that is how she has lived and what we are seeking for her again. She has been living as the only companion in the home until 3 years ago when the family started having children. Now the young toddlers are having their normal growing up noises and activities create a less than calm environment for Layla. Her family knows it will be best for Layla to find a new and quieter home without the toddler chaos. Critter Cavalry Rescue knows that many dogs do not transition well with toddlers that enter the home after they were the only dogs early in life. Layla is so loved and because of that her owners are admitting that she needs a new start that suits her laidback demeanor. Children over 10 years will be fine. This dog is good on leash walks but doesn’t need to be at dog parks where other dogs will not respect her “space”. She is crate trained but honestly she does no damage if left loose during the day for many hours. Layla does love cats and is a very loving girl that is beautiful and very smart. She has so many years left to bring joy and companionship to someone that just wants her as the only dog and will treasure her as the special girl that she truly is. We took Bodhi in after his owner passed away when he was just 10 months old. He Loves everyone, he absolutely loves children, he does really well with even the smallest animals in his foster home like chinchilla's, ferrets, chickens...... but he especially loves his doggie siblings in his foster home! His favorite thing to do is play outside with his dog siblings and then come in for a snuggle with the tiny humans, for belly rubs! Hes truly a snuggler and loves to be up close and nestled up on the couch or bed with his people, but not overbearing or needy. So for him we would prefer a home there dogs are truly family and are allowed to do these things. We get it, some people prefer not to let their pets on the couch or bed, and thats okay! but this guy, needs to be one of the gang! Bodhi is almost a year old now, he is neutered, housebroken, and has the most gentle demeanor. He will truly make the absolute best companion for a VERY lucky family! Ideally, he needs another young, friendly dog brother or sister. He is a livestock guardian breed and while he prefers to be with his family, inherently, Pyr's will Patrol and and guard their flock, the often 'wander' but are actually just out patrolling and ensuring their is no danger lurking. Meet Turtle! This beautiful little girl is a 6 month old female Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix. She is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything she meets. She loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. She never turns down a good belly rub. She loves to play and is full of puppy energy. She would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! She is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. Ms. Lady is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix who is super sweet, friendly with people and dogs and who would probably would be fine with cats because of her easy-going disposition. She is crate trained and housetrained but could use more leash training - she is rarely leashed as she has a big beautiful backyard to run around in her foster home in Texas! She is very low maintenance, low to medium energy, and is in a foster home with 30 other dogs - she had that easy going, typical Pyr personality. Lady is about 4 years old and weighs 68 pounds. She is already fully vetted and she's healthy, heartworm negative, has no tick borne diseases and is on monthly preventatives, etc. Lady is just happy to be in a home where someone is treating her well and she does not have to worry about where her next meal is coming from. She came into a Texas shelter with another Pyr mix (possibly her brother) - both were owner surrendered because the owners were letting them run loose and they did not want to pay the fine. The brother went to a local Austin rescue and Lady is now with NorthStar.
