Story

Mila was surrendered because she wanted to be with people rather than sheep so she wasn't a very good livestock guard dog. Mila is really just a big ham who loves belly rubs. She is tons of fun and loves people. She is very food motivated so this can be used to help do some training with her. Mila loves people and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Due to her size, a home with kids 8+ is preferred (she loves kids but may accidently knock some smaller ones over). This gorgeous girl is about 2-3 years old and 90 lbs. Please help Mila find the loving home she deserves. **Please note we currently have another dog with a similar name. Please make sure you use the spelling "MILA" on your application or correspondence to avoid any confusions. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. They are typically laid back with wonderful personalities that get along with just about anything. They just need something to do. So lots of activity, walks and/or a farm. We just want these babies to find a great home with families who will love them and take care of their needs. Indy is a friendly girl who likes everybody! She is always happy to see people, likes to play with the other puppies. She will need all the training that puppies need but will learn fast. Routines help a lot. This boy was returned due to owners downsizing. He is a sweet boy who is doing well in a foster home. He is housetrained with a dog door and gets along with cats. He doesn't mind other dogs and is very adjustable to new routines. He does know some commands and is treat motivated. He learns very quickly and would do well in any type home. Bolto is a great dog. He is very smart and has a great sense of his whereabouts. With a great family he will become acclaimate quickly. He is excellent around children and other animals, and really enjoys playing outside. For an old dog he has a great will about him as if inside he was still a young pup. He has a really good appetite, and does well with his cues to use the bathroom. All in all Bolto is a fantastic dog and with the right family he will be a great addition.
