Story
My name is Gabby, and my story is an amazing and amazing that im.here today.  I was born sometime around the first or second week of October to a purebred. Great Pyrenees.   My mom lived on land that a farmer owned and he never spayed her and soon she met up with a Doodle that was roaming on the land that she was protecting. The next thing you know, there were eight of us born out in the pasture and for the first 8 to 9 weeks of our life, we lived  in a hole in the ground.  Critter cavalry was called by a lady that knew all 8 of us.puppies needed help. I am  looking for just the perfect home that will understand the Great Pyrenees influence in my DNA.  I am a little girl that loves to play with the various farm animals where my foster family lives.  I'm extremely cuddly and I am very cute, or so I'm told.  I will grow up to be a 75 pound girl with long soft fur and a happy, carefree personality. I have learned how to ring the bell at the door to go out to potty and my foster mom has been working with me to teach other important commands like sit and shake.   I will be a devoted companion that will promise to go on lots of adventures with you in life.   Meet Layla, the reigning queen of relaxation! This sweet 60 pound, Aussie/Great Pry mix pretty girl loves to take it easy, whether it's lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, or snoozing her day away in her favorite spot.  At 6 years of age, Layla has made is known that she prefers a calm, peaceful environment where she can indulge in her love of napping without too much excitement.  She’ll happily keep you company during your quiet moments, and will always be up for a long walk or playtime with feline friends who are her favorite four-legged friends. Layla would do best in a home without young children or other dogs, as she loves her space and enjoys a slower, more serene pace of life. If you're seeking a loyal, affectionate companion who values comfort above all else, Layla is your perfect match.   This beauty is housebroken and loves to run around the yard with her people.  Years ago Layla decided that she wanted to be the only dog in her home and that is how she has lived and what we are seeking for her again.  She has been living as the only companion in the home until 3 years ago when the family started having children.  Now the young toddlers are having their normal growing up noises and activities create a less than calm environment for Layla.  Her family knows it will be best for Layla to find a new and quieter home without the toddler chaos.  Critter Cavalry Rescue knows that many dogs do not transition well with toddlers that enter the home after they were the only dogs early in life.  Layla is so loved and because of that her owners are admitting that she needs a new start that suits her laidback demeanor. Children over 10 years will be fine. This dog is good on leash walks but doesn’t need to be at dog parks where other dogs will not respect her “space”.  She is crate trained but honestly she does no damage if left loose during the day for many hours.  Layla does love cats and is a very loving girl that is beautiful and very smart.  She has so many years left to bring joy and companionship to someone that just wants her as the only dog and will treasure her as the special girl that she truly is. Bumble came from an animal control agency where his life was in extreme danger. He had been picked up as a stray. He is a good dog who loves to lay around the house. Bumble is 100% a house dog who walks well on a leash though will pull some if sees something he is interested in, he loves going to see people at Lowe's Home Improvement Store. Bumble loves to lay on the couch, sleeps well in the house all night but Bumble can open doors so needs secure locks, he also would need a fenced in yard, as well as to meet any other dogs in the household prior to adoption. He is a huge fluff ball at 128 lbs who does enjoy being brushed. The animal control agency said he is 2 to 3 years old. If you are looking for a dog who will lay beside you while you work from home Bumble is a great choice. He is vetted, neutered, and on slow kill heart worm treatment. Won't you give Bumble a chance at a great life with a home of his own? From Foster: -no barking -no digging -no resource guarding -no growling or aggression -loves people -gentle mouth when taking treats -healthy coat and likes being brushed -can hike and play (in bursts) but also likes to chill and sleep -rides well in a car -curious to explore and not afraid of new situations -goes to the door when he wants out (no accidents!) -total house dog

Meet Cupid who comes to us from the Rowan County Animal Shelter. Have you ever seen such a lovable face? Cupid is a 4-year-old, 83 lb., Great Pyrenees / Lab mix with the absolute best personality. This big guy is truly a gentle giant who definitely loves the easy life. While Cupid loves to play and would thrive best in a home with a fenced in yard, he is just as content to lay around the house and nap during the day. He is a very low-key dog who is oh-so-loving and wonderful. Cupid is housetrained, neutered, microchipped, gets along with everyone he meets, whether it be kids, adults, or other dogs, and loves attention. He was hit by a car earlier in life and as a result has a slight head tilt and can be goofy sometimes...but that makes him so much more lovable! He can't wait to meet his new family.
