Story
Blue Flint Animal Hospital described Bijou as an All American dog, a Heinz 57 combination of breeds, but we think she has some Great Pyrenees in her.  The vet esimated year of birth is 2021. She is shy and would most appreciate a calm environment.  She will need an owner who is patient with her as she learns to trust.  She's very sweet and loves affection. ~~ Adoption donation $300 . Story
Paisley is an  All American dog, a Heinz 57 pup, but there might be some Great Pyrenees in there.  Her vet estimated year of birth is 2021. She's shy and would probably appreciate a calm home, at least until she feels more at home.  She would need patience at the beginning, and lots of love to help her feel more confident in her new home.  Then she'll probably be eager to run and play with her new family. Because she is timid, she might do best as an only dog, or given as very SLOW INTRODUCTION to any other dogs.  She would need someone with experience in dog training to help her gain trust. ~~ Adoption donation $300 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Elsa is a sweetheart.  She loves everyone.  She's very much a puppy with puppy power, so you'll need to be patient with her when you're teaching her good doggy manners.  She's very playful. She would need a big backyard where she can run and play.  She loves playing outside.   She does great with other dogs.  She will make the perfect addition to any family.  Her vet estimated birth date is January 2024. ~~ Adoption donation $400 . Story
Joshua is a sweet Great Pyrenees mix male.  His vet estimated birthday is November of 2021.  Great Pyrenees are great dogs, but you need to read up on the breed to better understand them. They were bred to be guardians of the livestock, so they're independent thinkers... which sometimes translates into stubborn, so you just need to learn how to be the pack leader and let him know you are the pack leader.  This requires a patient, kind, but firm stance.  Also, you need to keep in mind that their fur needs to be brushed a couple of times a week to avoid matting.  Great Pyrenees are delightful dogs, full of love and fun.     ~Adoption donation $400 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
Hi, I'm Timmy! Everyone thinks that I am a little over a year old, and likely a Great Pyrenees mix. I'm already completely house-trained (big win!). I get along great with dogs, cats, and even chickens (we're still working on that, but we're making great progress). I absolutely *love* playing with my two foster siblings-for now they are my best friends! To be fully transparent, I am not too fond of the crate, but am learning. I've been in a few different homes so I'm a bit unsure of myself and have learned about stairs and getting in the car. Once in the car, I'm the *best* riding buddy you can imagine. My wish list includes a canine sibling and a fenced-in yard because I LOVE it outside, and I do like to roam. All to say, if you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup, come meet me this Saturday at AARF. I'd love to show off what a good boy I am becoming. Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website.
