Bernie has been with us since he was rescued as a small puppy roughly two years ago. He loves to play with our other small terrier mix, and he does very well on walks and when we take him to the dog park. We have three kids in our home, and he has done well around them and other people. He does require a strong owner who knows how to handle large dogs, and he will need to be reinforced to be gentle when he is fed sometimes. We must let Bernie go because I have generalized anxiety, and his demeanor is not conducive to my condition. I also work from home, and Bernie barks any time the door is rung or he senses someone approaching. He is very stubborn, and getting him to calm down can be challenging. Bernie loves to be with or near his family. He LOVES to get on the couch and in bed with us. This can be challenging with his size His best home would be somewhere that he can bark and play more outside, and where his owner can handle or appreciate his alertness.

Howdy friends. These folks out here in Texas are a callin’ me Luca. My sister and I, Luna were just mindin our own business and some mean people started tellin’ us they didn’t want us anymore. Why, they was even threatinin’ to shoot us. Well, thankfully some nice people came and got us off of that there property and put us in the bestest foster home you could imagine! Whereas we have lots of doggie friends, children of all ages and we even sleep with these fuzzy things called kitties. We are so good for our new foster family they’re a gonna have a hard time letting us go. We will always love them, but were a rearin to head over to our forever family. Maisy & Sawyer are an inseparable bonded pair. We're trying to help their mom find them a new home due to an unexpected lifestyle change. She has tried extremely hard for a while now to work things out, but feels that her dogs deserve better than what she can give them. Maisy ~ Tan and white; Lab/Great Pyrenees mix; ~4 years old, turning 5 in May. Loves to play in the water, any toys, and at dog parks. She is super smart and knows the following commands: sit, stay, down (laying), high five, gentle, shake, fist bump, hug, and sit pretty (puts her front legs on your arm and sits on her butt). She has lost her touch a bit but easily catches on to fetch. Ice cubes are another favorite of hers, especially if they have fruit in them! She has a mild energy level, but loves to cuddle. Sawyer ~ Black and white; Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix; ~4 years old as of January. Loves to be outdoors even just sitting/laying. She is very lovey and will let you know she doesn't want you to stop petting her by pawing at you. She knows the following commands: sit, stay, down (laying), shake. She loves to run around with you and get attention. Her cage has always been her safe place and she can spend a lot of time there. Due to her past she can be shy to a lot, but with the right amount of patience and love she adjusts and overcomes her fears. (Leashes, cars, stairs, and stores to name a few.) She also loves to cuddle and lounge around the house.
