Story
This giant goober is looking for his forever home. He is currently fostered in the DFW area. He loves to wrestle and play, which is quite the sight with this big boy. He has been through training programs more than once, so he is a dream on a leash. He is crate trained and super friendly. He thinks cats make awesome snacks, which is not terribly appropriate, and due to his size and playful nature, he'll be best with kids 10+. Described as a bull in a china shop, he's also a great snuggler! Boogey is following Pyr Paw protocol here to ensure there is an equal exchange of loves given and received. He loves people more than anything else in this world, all he asks in exchange for his love is a single dog home with the ability to couch snuggle and sunbathe He's a gorgeous boy, looking for his forever home! Story
Koda is a senior Great Pyrenees who is the absolute sweetest with all people. She’s comfortable around toddlers to adults, men and women. She prefers to stay inside but is always willing to go on a walk, she loves to be on a leash and is incredibly good one on one. She’s been professionally trained at PlayStation Pet Resort but listens like a typical pyr from time to time. While inside, she rarely has accidents and she is normally very quiet. She will go from couch potato to zoomies and has plenty of energy for a “senior dog”. Koda has done casually well in open spaces with other dogs but due to interactions at a prior home (she’s been attacked before which had made her on edge at times with other dogs), it’s best that she’s an only dog. She LOVES being groomed and will lay down to be pampered. Apply today TGPR.org

Story
Hi my name is Zoe Yvette but my nickname is Zoobert. They call me sporty, and like any good sports car, I can be both fun and finicky. I like to show everyone how fast I can run. I really enjoy exercise and activity and would love a home where I can go on excursions like hiking or biking or maybe even running. When I can’t be physically busy, I enjoy mental stimulation like food dispensing toys and learning new skills. Also, like any great sports car, I have my touchy side. I know I’m super pretty and super special so I take making new dog and people friends very seriously. Hey, not everyone gets to touch the Ferrari. I like most dogs, but prefer my dog friends to be a bit calmer and understanding that I’m still young and learning. I don’t like being corrected so I need my dog friends to be patient. I can be a bit shy at first with people, and sometimes, I get a little nervous and bark. Please, forgive me while I make sure that you really are here to be my friend. If you allow me to do my thing, I normally settle down after a few minutes, and once we become friends, we’re BFFs. And I do mean BEST FRIENDS. So what do you think about learning the fun and feisty side of a sporty sized Pyr?

Story
Scarlet and her two siblings were rescued as abandoned strays by a Good Samaritan vet who called TGPR to find them great homes. It's not surprising that she is a little shy when you first meet her: She has a tendency to  bark first and ask questions later. We are working to help her trust more easily. But once she gets to know you, you are in the club! She will love you forever. In fact, belly rubs put Scarlet in a very happy place. We think she may be a Great Pyrenees/ Siberian Husky cross. That would explain why she has lots of energy and a tendency to choose one person as her "heart". Scarlet is a great watch dog, and is always the first to know when something is in the yard. Some might say she is the alarm system of the dog world. If you are looking for a devoted companion for jogging, adventures, and to share your life, consider this pretty girl!

Story
Marlon is a handsome two year old looking for a forever family. He is a sweet, goofy guy, and before coming into a foster home in December of 2023, spent about a year in boarding. He learnt lots of good things in boarding, but REALLY loves being in a home. He loves snuggling with foster mom in bed, doing yard patrols to protect from evil squirrels, and enjoys bones and tough toys. Marlon is fully house and kennel trained and gets along well with the resident dogs, slow intros were made to make sure everyone was comfortable. Marlon does enjoy his food and should be fed separately, but that’s easily managed. Marlon needs an adopter who will allow him time to decompress in a new environment. He also needs a dog friend who likes to play and play hard, but only after Marlon has learned his place in the home and feels confident with his new friend. Marlon walks great on leash and rides very well in the car. Apply today TGPR.org

Story
Hi! My name is Griffin and I was born 2/26/2018. I'm a big boy (93 pounds). I am returning to TGPR a second time due to a change in my pack family. It was just too much for me to handle. In my next home, I would love to have people to spoil me and give me some one-on-one attention. I am slow to warm up and don't like a lot of loud chaos in my home. One look into my soulful eyes and you will be in love. I am currently receiving some training to help me overcome my slow-to-warm-up tendencies. Apply today at TGPR.org for a meet and greet.

I'm Apollo. Despite my great looks, I'm a little shy at first. But I have come to really enjoy my foster family! They play ball with me which is my most favorite game! I am always happy to meet new people and they just love me! It's because I'm so cute, I guess. I do have some anxiety when I'm left alone for long periods so someone who works from home would be best for me. I would also love to have a fur brother or sister to keep me company. I am a good house guest with hardly any barking and no accidents. I'm still working on my crate training and leash walking skills. I love my people so much and I have a hard time being alone. It helps me to have another calm friendly dog with me. Just let them know at TMHPR if you want to meet me for yourself! I'll be waiting!    ##1787337##

Story
Windy, one of the adorable puppies from our "Storm" litter, was born around April 24, 2024. We believe that the puppies may be a mix of German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees, as some of them have double dewclaws, which is a characteristic of the Great Pyrenees breed. Windy also has dewclaws. Windy is a joyful and energetic puppy who enjoys playing and wrestling with her siblings. She also loves to interact with other dogs in her home. Given her friendly nature, it is likely that she gets along well with cats and children. Windy needs a big fenced yard to play in. Since she is young, she requires an owner who is home most of the time.   To meet Windy in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2070410##

Story
Skipper is super playful, curious and adventurous. He loves being close to his people but is good with some alone time. He absolutely LOVES to be outside and would probably enjoy being with a family who hikes or is outdoors a lot. Skipper will need a doggie friend and a backyard to make him his happiest. He looks like a lab, but he's ALL OTHER.  We like that - why get pinned down to one type of dog when what you want is a mix.  I mean, what if you could only eat mexican food all day, for the rest of your life.  It woudl get PRETTY boring.  Skipper's mama is part of our rescue, and she has the sweetest temperment. Temperment is genetic, so keep that in mind too.  APPLY HERE: www.richardsonhumanesociety.org ##1946166##

Story
Riley spent many long months in the shelter, until staff who loved him enough, brought him into their home to foster. He's a great, good boy, kind of a dog!. He's got the right amount of energy and chilled behavior too. He's dog friendly and kennel trained. We think he is Heeler/Pyrenese. He's good on leash and LOVES people!  Riley’s perfect home would be a busy house with a backyard, other dogs to play with, and people to love on him. He loves everyone and his tail never stops wagging Did we mention how super handsome and chill he is??!! ##1985442##

Story
Eggnog is around a year old and tries to be the best boy! He is super sweet, smart, gentle, charming and will tell you what he wants. He’s just learning to walk on a leash and is pretty good in the crate. He’s not a huge fan of baths but LOVES playing in the rain. He likes car rides and just learned to sit for pets instead of jumping (though sometimes he is so excited when we get home for the evening he forgets his manners). He is great with kids of all ages though, and with dogs and cats, he doesn’t know how big he is though and doesn’t believe in personal space! He LOVES to run on my property and has made friends with the neighbors horse. He loves being outside so a yard with family and furry friends would be best but, he would probably adjust well with time anywhere with his forever human.
