To learn more about Belle, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Presenting the ever-beautiful Belle! This former mama is on the lookout for her forever home. She took such good care of her puppies, she’s sure to take great care of your family. At 6 years old and 26lbs, Belle is a good size and good age all around. Belle has the poise of her beagle breed and has even gotten along with cats in her foster home. Belle has also done well with dogs her size or smaller and LOVES food. She will take it right out of your hand! Belle is always playing the angel and staying out of trouble. Belle has been very submissive in her foster home, quiet and reserved. Her other love in life is pets, specifically those of the under-chin variety. And she won’t turn down any belly rubs either! These may lead to her zoomies, look out below! But her greatest love in life is napping. For long periods of time. There is no need to go out a-galavantin’ when you could just stay in and relax. Even if she has to go to the bathroom, she’ll go outside, and trot right back in to pick up napping where she left off. She would love a home where she can continue to come out of her shell! If this great beagle with motherly instincts strikes your fancy, please contact us! Don’t miss this chance to Belle-ify your home!

Story
To learn more about Xena, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Xena was surrendered from a commercial breeder. She was no longer wanted, and had no place to go. Xena deserved better, so we opened our doors and hearts to change that for her. She is an adorable, special little dog who has endured quite a lot on her way to the safety of Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. She is looking for a family with abundant patience, love, and an understanding of her needs to help her be a wonderful companion - and your best friend forever. She would especially enjoy the company of another dog to show her how much fun being a part of a family can be! Xena is a very sweet, smart, and adaptable girl. She figured out the stairs on her own, has almost mastered house training, likes to be on the sofa with everyone watching TV, playing with her foster brother (a short game of chase), and likes to share her crate with her BFF (Beagle Best Friend). Like all beagles, Xena loves food, and now that she's learned what a treat is, she's always first in line when it's cookie time. She's still learning house manners - like taking things off the coffee table - and other places. But she has been left in her foster home uncrated with her foster siblings for 3+ hrs, and she does really well. While she's friendly with dogs, Xena is still tentative around humans. Once given time, she warms up well and likes to follow her humans around the house, like a shadow! Xena would love a backyard to explore and chase squirrels. She would definitely do better in a home with other dog siblings, but we aren’t sure how she would do with cats. Contact Lost Dog if you can give Xena the chance to thrive in a nurturing environment.

To learn more about Buddy Joe, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org . Buddy Joe will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events) Buddy Joe is a fun-loving dog with lots of young dog energy. He has reportedly done well with kids, cats and other dogs! Buddy Joe is treat motivated, intelligent, and knows his basic doggy commands such as sit, stay, down, paw and shake. He walks well on a leash and is working on his house training. This friendly boy makes friends with everyone he sets his eyes on. He wants pets from everyone, and preferably all at once, please! Buddy Joe might benefit from someone who works from home or another doggie sibling to help remind him everything is okay! Buddy Joe just has so much love to share that he’s worried for you when you step out. Buddy Joe has done well playing with a large group of dogs, listening and fixing behavior when he is corrected by his doggie friends. While you’re hosting the party, Buddy Joe will be in everyone’s laps being a cuddle bug. When he’s not too busy hosting the next party, he is paws down ready for a walk. If you’re talking around the block or a longer hike, Buddy Joe is READY! After his walk, he expects a treat and would like to give you a big hug for taking him. If this life of the home boy seems like the perfect canine companion, please come meet him!
