MEET MAGGIE!!! This sweet smaller gal, at only 40 lbs and 1 yr old, is going to be the light of your life! She came in with her brother, and will need to be adopted with him. She's active and very playful and LOVES to play with other dogs, especially her brother Forest. They'd do o.k. in a home with smaller female dogs, but no males. We believe they are Carolina Dog/Husky/Shepherd mixes. She is already housebroken, doggy door trained and kennel trained! She also walks pretty well on a leash already, and is not a puller. Maggie is a bit timid initially, but warms up quickly and will melt your heart! She loves belly rubs and nuzzling up next to you~ We recommend older kids (teens+), as younger ones may be a bit too scary. She's currently in foster with an 8 yr old and does great with him!! She's good with cats, as long as they're not runners. He came in with his sister Maggie, and will definitely need to be adopted with her , or into a home with another fun female pup. He's great with other fun dogs and would love a playmate....unfortunately he would not do well as an only dog and definitely needs a female buddy if not adopted with his sister. We believe they are Carolina Dog/Husky/Shepherd mixes. This boy is shy and timid, and will need about of week of patience from his new owners to decompress and trust his new people. I first met Roku in Dallas, Texas. He is a pure breed of Japanese Akita Inu. He was only three-month-old and just a little tiny pup. His birthday is Aug. 22, 2022. He is shy and sensitive but always super sweet and kind to me. Now he is about nine months old, and he never barked at me even once, never ran away once when I recall him. But when he is with me, when he's growing up now, I finally realize that maybe i am not the best owner for him, he deserves a better home and a happy doggy life with someone who can really spend a lot of time with him. There are some changes happening in my life and I will travel more frequently in the near future. It's really hard to make the decision but I hope the best for him and that he can be truly happy. The adoption fee there is setting a bar for selecting people who is financially stable and is serious about giving him a new home.
