Story
This is Devereaux! This 3-year-old ice blue eyed beauty is HIGHLY INTELLEGENT yet snuggly too.  Surprising since he was dumped on the streets and not claimed.  Dev has moved on emotionally and ready for a new and loving forever family to love and care for him. Ideally, we would prefer a home with an experienced breed owner as Huskies will be Huskies and can get up to trouble if not kept busy and happy. Long walks hikes every day would be his dream.  Dev enjoys chasing the balls around but will not retrieve them back to you. He also likes tug o war, Dev is at his most loving when he has played, and it is time to relax some.  He will put his nose under your hand or arm to get you to pet him. He is allowed on the sofa at his foster home and nothing more than when she sits down for the night, and it is his turn to snuggle. Dev can and will jump a shorter fencing but seems to be happy with his foster mom as he has not done that stunt yet. Dev enjoys playing with other dogs he knows and is well socialized dogs and enjoys the dogs who like to wrestle the most.   Dev also likes puppies so if you have a up who needs a playmate, Dev is the dog for you.  He also is not yet totally potty trained.  This we feel is because he was left outside full time. Dev is highly intelligent and will need enrichment items or things to do when alone to be happiest. Foster uses a strong leash as he can get upset when he sees another dog. Dev is available to meet by appt with an approved application.  He is fostered in Fairfield     Come see this pup during adoption event hours. Please email Linda at lbredfire@sbcglobal.net or call WT&F's Dog Team voicemail 707-812-9030 to get a jump on the process, ask questions, and/or to confirm they will be there.  Dog adoptions are held at Napa Petco on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month - 1:00pm to 4:00pm. This dog comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and more with an adoption fee/donation to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals in Napa, CA. Story
Amelia is our sweet blue-eyed girl- a hidden gem! This wonderful dog was rescued as a stray in Fresno and brought to FDR for a second chance at life in 2022. Since then, she has blossomed into a loving sweetheart with everyone she knows. She even has a boyfriend here named Vincent. Amelia is long overdue to find her forever family and enjoys walks with our fantastic team of volunteers. With her silly mannerisms, coy demeanor, and sweet nature, it's impossible not to smile when spending time with her. She is a special dog, and we can't say enough about how much we adore her. Amelia will be an excellent companion in a home that is just as loving as she is. She was the perfect guest during a recent foster visit. She didn't bark or make noise, loves treats and takes them gently, gets along with male and female dogs and loves quietly cuddling on the couch! *Remember, Northern Breeds have an intense prey drive. They are not suitable around cats, small dogs under 20 lbs, or other small animals. Apply for this beautiful girl today! Adoption donation is $495.

Story
Meet Vincent Van Gogh! When he first came to the shelter he was pretty wary of people, but now he's warmed up and knows that when he sees people he'll get to go on walks and adventures with his dog pals! Walks with his buddies are his favorite parts of the day. He loves to stop and smell the flowers. He's been patiently waiting for his forever home, and will be happiest with a female canine companion in his future household! He'd love to be in a husky savvy home with very secure fencing, that won't let him out unsupervised in a backyard! We've loved watching him grow into a much more confident and social dog, and know that he'll continue to progress by leaps and bounds in a home environment. If you'd like to bring this amazing husky into your home and give him the life he deserves complete an application today!

Story
Meet Jimmy, This magnificent dog was starving on the streets of Modesto in an area under heavy construction and would not have survived much longer if the good Samaritan named Jimmy had not stepped in. Despite this dog's rough start in life, he is thriving in our program, where he has made many dog friends and won over every staff member's heart. Jimmy's striking good looks are only matched by his boundless friendliness. He's a favorite at the shelter for his outgoing nature with both humans and dogs. Now in foster care, we see some previous training starting to shine through in a home environment. He's an athletic boy but behaves well on the leash. Need a hiking or jogging partner- Jimmy's waiting for you! If you're looking for an intelligent, loving, and loyal companion, Jimmy is the man for you! Please apply to meet this friendly, handsome guy.
