Hazle is a handsome, 8-year-old, Red Husky mix. He is a fluffball with the funniest personality. He loves to get belly rubs and attention from people. He has shown us that he is a little picky when it comes to hanging out with other dogs and may need longer introductions. We are recommending he go into an adult only home. @sonomacountyanimalserv He loves doing this! ? original sound - Ddecs @sonomacountyanimalserv #greenscreenvideo ? original sound - SonomaCountyAnimalServ @socoanimals Strawberry Hazle ? original sound - user23369840897

Story
This beauty is Marlon! He’s excited to meet a new family who like walks, playtime, and sharing good times! Marlon likes playing with toys and likes to explore his surroundings. Marlon could use continued training on leash as he pulls moderately and gets the occasional zoomies! He doesn’t show any signs of guarding toys or food and is fine being handled all over. Marlon was initially tense when meeting a male pitbull (who was also tense), but then offered a play bow to initiate play. He would benefit from continued leash and obedience training. You’ll have endless fun and be entertained with Marlon by your side! Kids 12 and up recommended.

Story
Meet Reiko, the paws-itively adorable 6-year-old Husky/White Shepherd? mix with a heart of gold-and a body of 104 pounds of compact cuteness! This sweet lady came to us as a surrender, but don't let that fool you-she's still got plenty of love to give. Reiko is a people-puppy through and through, and she's been known to get along with felines, too. However, when it comes to other dogs, she can be a bit choosy. She's used to hanging with the big dogs, but she might get a little crabby with the smaller pups. Reiko is on the lookout for a cozy, laid-back home where she can relax, maybe shed about 20 pounds, and enjoy her golden years in style. She's a dream to walk (though she might insist on a few snack breaks) and absolutely adores kids, making her the perfect addition to a family with little ones. Could Reiko be your new furry BFF?August 18, 2024, 7:13 pm

Story
Petite! Loving! Silly! Makes friends easily!Willa is a close snuggling, squeaker-loving, super friendly three-legged husky girl. She came to us after a car accident, but now she's all healed up from her leg amputation and back in action. Now Willa is free to frolic and play! She loves being outdoors and seems to enjoy having a dog pal in her foster home. A well-fenced yard and active family with lots of time to spend with her would be nice, too! Willa doesn't seem to have lived with cats before and thinks they are really fun to chase when they move fast, so her ideal home would be cat-free so that everyone remains safe and happy. This sweet young puppy is about one year old. She has a luxurious, thick coat, and she doesn't mind going out in the rain! Husky dogs are known for being vocal and Willa is no exception. She "talks" to her humans and uses many different vocals to get your attention or keep you alert about people and squirrels who she can see through the front windows. Willa is quite skillful on three legs and can climb stairs and even hopped up onto the table for a better view out the window (major husky vibes)! Willa is understandably a little hesitant around busy roads with fast cars or loud noises after her car accident experience, but we're starting to see her relax and trust now that she is no longer in pain. Willa will need to remain fit and trim to make sure she stays as mobile as possible on three legs. We ask that all WCAL puppy adopters commit to attending a reward-based training class with their new puppy (we'll help you find a qualified, dog-friendly trainer near you). This is the best way we know how to help you bond with your new pup, give you access to current training techniques and ensure that your new dog becomes a well-rounded member of society. We believe in being proactive and know from experience that the best time to train a dog is NOW! It's important to us that all the dogs we rescue get the very best start with you. If you don't have time to attend training classes, please consider choosing an adult dog or waiting to adopt until your schedule is more flexible. Follow us on social media for daily updates!
