Story
George is a very good boy who came all the way from East Texas with his brother. He is 4 months old, currently 22 lbs, will probably stay small to medium size at 35-45 lbs. He has the most sparkling blue eyes and we guess he may be a lab/husky/hound mix. He loves to talk and can be such a dramatic guy at times, really showing that husky side of his personality. He’s great with a doggie door, loves to play and wrestle but also loves to calm down and cuddle and give lots of kisses too. He’s great with cats and kids, never met a stranger! Overall, he’s the best little buddy who is ready to find his forever home in Colorado! ##2077090##

Story
Highlights: -Needs an experienced adopter-Would do best with kids aged 16+ #### Meet Sitka, a charming five-year-old male husky with a goofy personality as big as his stature. Sitka is a vocal companion who loves to sing and engage in conversations with those who visit his kennel. While he is pretty laid back, he also loves to play with humans, dogs of all sizes, and toys. He can often be seen collecting toys around the yard and piling them all in one spot to protect them. He bounces around with glee outside, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the company. Sitka is leash-trained and finds joy in daily walks. While he's on a diet, Sitka happily indulges in tossed healthy treats. He would do best in a home with older children who can respect his space; he simply asks that no one disturbs him while he is eating or playing with his special toys. Sitka is a very special dog who has helped teach many of our fearful dogs the joys of life. His fondness for humans and his playful, good-natured personality has made him an excellent mentor to other dogs; he has helped bring many companions out of their shells and get them ready for a home. Now, Sitka is ready to find a forever home of his own. If you're looking for a hilariously sassy - yet sweet - buddy, Sitka is your guy! If you would like to meet Sitka, please apply at NMDR.org. ****Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. Because some of our dogs are very under socialized, they may not be a good fit for young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
This white purebred Siberian Husky is completely house trained and obeys basic commands. She weighs 50 pounds and walks well on a leash. Must Rehome her because I travel for work. I live in a very remote area, and her only owner. She would do best as someone's only companion, she sleeps by people at night and is very much a pack animal. Loves long walks or runs, and dog parks. Not a howler or barker, but will sing for you if you howl first. Funny and smart. Very well behaved and excellent temperament. Eats dry food only, all shots up to date, fixed- easy to care for her. Requires daily walks and human companionship.

Story
Zara is a cute young husky mix with a playful and affectionate nature, though she is usually scared of new situations and people. Once she has learned to trust her humans, she's very affectionate and loving with them. She's is great with most dogs and plays with dogs of all sizes at daycare, but can occasionally be dog-selective if the mood hits her. Zara tries to play with the cats in her foster home, but will eventually leave them alone when they don't reciprocate. She already knows sit, down, and automatically sits at doors. Zara's ideal home would be one where she gets regular attention, exercise, and brain stimulation, and lots toys (she likes all manner of toys). Zara would prefer a canine companion to help her learn to navigate new situations. Because of Zara's enthusiastic tendencies, Zara would do best in a home with children over 8yrs of age.
