Story
Our gorgeous Koda is a two time visitor in our Rescue. His first owner left him at the New York Animal Control Shelter because his young family was ill-prepared to manage the natural behavior of a young puppy. Needless to say, Huskies are not everyone’s cup of tea. Koda lived harmoniously with older kids, but the busy family was not providing adequate training, exercise or socialization. The NYC Shelter sent Koda to us as the COVID Pandemic was winding down. Koda adapted to our routine easily, and was quickly placed in a home, but sadly, placement fell through due to unexpected illness. Now two years old, Koda is ready for his Act Three.  Koda is a Siberian Husky, with stunning black and white coloring and icy blue eyes. He is a medium sized dog, at a lean 43 pounds. He has the breed standard double coat that will moult a few times a year.  Koda has an outgoing personality and responds to new people and situations with curiosity. He warms to people quickly and becomes extremely affectionate. He relishes human touch, and willingly leans into his person for ear scratches. Koda is not as frantically high energy as some Huskies we have known, but as a two year old youngster, he does need a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation.  Koda is a smart boy and has already passed many of the Canine Good Citizenship tests. He is a breeze to train, and loves the work, so motivated adopters could easily take him the rest of the way to CGC certification. Obedience work will go a long way to keep him challenged, calm and balanced. Koda would thrive in an active adult household, keen to the needs of a rescue dog. He would like to be in the forefront of the family and invited to participate in family activities. Koda would be the ideal running or hiking companion. He is an excellent traveler and would love to join his folks on camping or road trips. He is not a dog to be relegated to the backyard, where boredom and frustration can set in, and create unpleasant consequences. Koda could easily join a multi-dog home: he enjoys play and is pretty sociable. He is not the best candidate for toddlers or cats, but a well adjusted, outgoing dog would suit him. Koda has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He is in optimal health, and has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. He has been dewormed, and microchipped.  If you are interested in Koda, please write to Denise at Angelsfrgod@aol.com or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Seasoned Northern Breed Lovers will swoon over Big Muffin’s good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. We suspect that Big Muffin is an ambitious mix of Husky and Chow Chow, which makes him formidable!  Seasoned Northern Breed Lovers will swoon over Big Muffin’s good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. We suspect that Big Muffin is an ambitious mix of Husky and Chow Chow, which makes him formidable!  Big Muffin first entered NYCACC as a stray, and was easily adopted out, but then returned because of Landlord complaints about barking in the apartment. Big Muffin’s second time in the shelter seemed to unnerve him, so he came to our Connecticut Rescue so that we could place him in a less stressful country environment. Big Muffin loves people and is not the kind of dog who would be happy stuck in an apartment or back yard all day. He loves to be the center of attention. In fact, Big Muffin loves people so much that when he met our UPS Driver, he tried to take a ride with him! Big Muffin has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, white with tan markings. A broad forehead and purple splashed tongue reveal Big Muffin’s Inner Chow. His big brown eyes seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief. At 3.5 years old, Big Muffin is past the puppy mayhem stage, and has generally good house manners. His breed mix requires a lot of exercise. Big Muffin is typical of the Husky Court Jester personality, but also seems to exude a serious Chow side. Anyone interested in sharing their home with this breed mix must bring their A game to the table.  Big Muffin needs a savvy handler to maintain his equlibrium. If he becomes bored, or frustrated, he can make some mischief. Exercise and discipline, as well as formal obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact.  Big Muffin has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged. He is coming along nicely on his Canine Good Citizenship training, and has the potential to reach certification. Big Muffin has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although Adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Big Muffin, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738.

Story
Our gorgeous Siberian Husky, Theodora is due for some good luck. She came to us recently from a rural county shelter after she was found roaming as a country stray. When no concerned owner came to claim her, Theodora was sent to us so that we could find her forever home.  Theodora is ready to start her new life with a new family. She is a gem: friendly to everyone, and was a dream patient during her recent vet visits. She tolerated all the poking and prodding like a champ. Theodora turns heads and wins hearts everywhere she goes. Huskies can be great family dogs in experienced hands, and Theodora has done well with older kids. She relishes human touch, and would be a great choice for a big family with older kids.  Theodora could also join an active adult home with folks who love Northern Breeds. She rides well in the car and would make a great traveling buddy, but she also loves to be home with her cherished people. At 54 pounds, Theodora is at a healthy weight. She is a large, calm dog, who needs moderate exercise, perhaps one to two leisurely daily leash walks, in addition to frequent potty breaks. Theodora has good house manners. She is mostly house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect the occasional accident as she transitions to a new home. She is in excellent health, and has been spayed. She has received all routine vaccinations and health screenings.  If you are interested in Theodora, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com, or call/text Denise at cell: 860-908-9738 for an adoption application.

Story
Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over Dallas’ good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. He has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, and his coloring is icy white. He has big blue eyes seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.  Dallas arrived at our Connecticut rescue recently after he spent some time in a rural North Carolina Shelter. Animal Control Officers found Dallas as a country stray, and were impressed at how friendly and easy to handle he was. Dallas made many shelter friends who advocated tirelessly for him. Two years old, Dalla is a well adjusted adult Husky, who has impressed everyone with his good looks and relaxed demeanor. We love our Northern Breeds, and we're thrilled to welcome Dallas. He is a typical Husky, part jokester and part athlete. Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Dallas needs a savvy handler to maintain his equilibrium. Exercise and discipline, as well as ongoing obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact.  Dallas is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Dallas as having a neutral temperament. He has a vibrant personality that would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life. Dallas has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged. He is coming along nicely on his Canine Good Citizenship training, and has the potential to reach certification. Dallas has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Dallas, please call/text Denise at 860-908- 9738 or email angelsfrmgod@aol.com.

Meet me at PawSafe, 348 Old Colony Rd. Eastford, CT Meet the dynamic brother/sister duo- Oden and Dahlia! These STUNNING shepherd/husky/who-knows-what mixes have the most beautiful eyes and personality to match. Their photos do not do them justice! Both are very people and dog-friendly and are overall great pups! Oden and Dahlia are around 10 months old, medically up to date, altered, and we are guessing will be around 40-5lbs when full grown! These two cuties are not bonded and would be fine in separate homes. *Due to state laws regarding out-of-state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts.
