Story
** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. No time to come to the shelter? Meet me virtually during our open hours, note that wait time may vary for virtual meet and greets and we require same day pick up if you decide to adopt: https://waitwhile.com/locations/hra-nyawelcomestatio/r/welcome "Valentino" - doesn't it just roll off your tongue? And so many options for short versions (which I'd advocate for, because, let's face it, who wants to wait four syllables until they get a treat!): "Vale", "Tino", "Valti" etc.!I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer take care of me. It's been a bit of a change, but I am settling in. I may still need some time to warm up to new people, this type of thing just takes as huskies a bit in general -- but then we become wonderful loyal companions. Also, as a two-year old husky (a brown one to boot!), my main two recommended requirements are: a healthy exercise routine, lots of brushings as I am a shedding machine, and a good vacuum cleaner. If you are ready for some good long walks in the shade with a new BFF, let's make it official!

Story
Novah is a puppy lover's dream! I've had her for only a few months, but I am unable to keep her due to issues with my new apartment. She is 9 months old and still has her puppy tendencies but is very sweet, super playful, and obedient. She responds to "go to bed" and goes to her crate. She is familiar with "sit" and "no" (whether or not she always listens. She needs a home with a very active owner who can spend alot of time with her in these initial stages and help her work off some of this puppy energy. She loves trips to the dog park and will run and play for hours if you let her. Is good with dogs and cats, though my cat doesn't love her.

Story
Solita is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Solita is a beautiful and charming little husky mix. While the shelter estimated she was about six years old, she may be younger since she's still got a lot of playful energy and some pretty pearly whites. Solita is a diva. A princess. A delightfully mischievous little munchkin. She knows how gorgeous she is and that is a good thing...most of the time. She loves to jump on couches like she's a certain movie star. She looks great in bandanas and might even look good in a bow. She hasn't had any howling issues, or been overly destructive, or made any crazy escape attempts...though it's worth noting no husky should ever be off leash and a yard with a six foot fence is ideal. She's dog friendly with nine out of ten dogs she meets and she likes people, though she is very interested in squirrels and rabbits and I wouldn't put money on her getting along with cats. Solita sleeps overnight in her crate and is a very quiet girl - while her personality is expressive her noise level is not, and we've only heard her bark once or twice in her first week with us. ATTRIBUTES: Solita has lived with dogs and kids. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Story
Your new best friend could be sweet Bradley Cooper.  This handsomely unique boy is a 2 year old, 55 pound, Husky/Elkhound mix with lots of love to give.  His Frank Sinatra blue eyes are just gorgeous and he has the intelligence and personality to match his eyes.  Bradley Cooper has been neutered UTD on all vaccinations, HW negative and preventation, and microchipped.  This boy is being offered after he was found on a senior woman’s farm property and it was obvious he was dumped there.  We are assisting this woman in having him vetted thoroughly and searching high and low for a great family to give him a wonderful new place that he can hang out forever.  We have met this boy several times and he is really a true gem of a dog.  He has no imperfections and no bad habits or issues.  He gets along well other dogs, children and everyone he meets.  We have seen a side of him that is very true blue and loyal.  He is so very friendly and open to meeting new people and new experiences.  He walks well on the leash and enjoys making new friends while out on a walk in the neighborhood..  He is well trained and such a smart boy.  He loves to play and give kisses.  Bradley Cooper will keep you smiling and is so deserving of his forever home.  If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live, City and state and we will be happy to send you an adoption application. Bradley Cooper will make a family an awesome companion.  He checks all of the boxes to a near perfect dog.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 14, 2024, 9:01 pm

Story
Juno's mum was brought into a rural shelter in TX very pregnant. She was hanging around some apartment complex, found a couch to lay on. The very next day after arriving at the shelter she had 3 puppies. Flora is the mum and she is a Siberian Husky, we are not sure who dad was. The shelter she was at was full and there was a big plea to save her and her babies lives to which we answered. All the puppies are very sweet. Juno is now ready for her home after being fixed, had all shots for her age and micro chipped. Her breed is high energy so no apartments. A fenced in yard and buddy would be wonderful. If you are interested in this pretty girl please email us at Doginghamrescue@aol.com so we can send you an application. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $450 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.
