Story
No small animals or cats. Prey driven and will chase small dogs and other small animals. Excellent with other large and medium dogs, kids & strangers coming into home. Commands taught : no, wait, settle, stay/come, sit. Leash trained pretty quickly, but still needs some reminders to not pull. Very quiet in his crate, but will need a dome/airplane crate. He can get out of a wire crate if he wants to. Cannot be left unattended at home if adopter is not home. He does not like going into his crate, but fine when in it. He rides excellent in the car. Needs training for living inside of a home regarding not taking pillows, socks, kids toys, but he is learning quickly. This is an alpha male dog, strong leader and watch her over the entire pack. He will need an experienced handler who has time to train him and exercise him as he does have a need for exercise. He needs a yard to regularly run in so an apartment style lifestyle is not recommended. He respected the boundaries of the fence and didn't ever try to jump it. Very calm and regal dog. Heavy chewer so he needs indestructible type of toys etc. He will likely tear a dog bed in the crate when left a lone, but not destroy it. Fully potty trained and will pace in front of the door if he needs to go out. Knows how to use a doggie door.  March 3, 2025, 8:44 pm

SAAP meet Annie (top) and Hughey (bottom)!!! They just came to SAAP yesterday. They are listed as husky mix. I think they look more shepard to me. They are 10 and 13lbs but expected to be large adults.  They are both great puppies that are looking for their forever homes!  Annie is a little more reserved while Hughey is the more outgoing.  Apply to meet/adopt them at adoptastray.comMarch 6, 2025, 9:44 am

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.
