Story
Meet Nova!! She is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes and this is a note from her foster mom!`Nova is the easiest dog ever! She is 100% crate trained and potty trained. She is happy to sleep in her crate all night long and is great about asking to go outside first thing in the morning, right before bed, and in the afternoon. We haven`t seen her with kids but she LOVES people and is incredibly sweet and friendly with new people. She has a lot of energy especially for a 9 year old and loves to be outside but seems equally happy sitting on the couch watching TV with her people. Overall, she is smart, cuddly, and sweet. We`ve been able to leave her home alone outside of her crate for up to 6-7 hours without any issues. Anyone would be so so lucky to have her in their family.`If you are interested in meeting Nova please call the adoptions team at 734-662-5585 or email adoptions@hshv.org to set up a visit today!

Story
Lottie is a beautiful soul who has been having puppies and is not living in a great situation. She hadn't been vetted and is living with a one year old male Siberian who also needs rescue. They are in a house with kids and the family can't afford them or will not vet them. Our rescue will. We are looking for a home for her or for her and her male friend. Looking for a non smoking home on property with a privacy fence and a good size yard. We's say she is in a desperate situation right now. A family or owner who has husky experience as this breed needs lots of time and attention. They are vocal and will speak back to you. We can not consider a apartment or townhouse or manufactured home for them as they can be loud and need room to move about easily. They like the cold weather and are busy and active dogs. A adopter will need to be working from home or have opposite schedules so that she is not spending a lot of time alone. An active owner is needed, someone who walks, rides bikes or hikes often or daily. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com. She is a lovely doggie and will be a great companion for someone who is looking for a bestie.

Story
Meet Lily! She’s a beautiful blue eyed, loving dog who is ready to find her forever home! Lily is 1yr old and 50lbs. Lily would likely do well with other large dogs and has a natural, friendly demeanor that makes her a great companion. She’s also wonderful with kids and loves spending time with them! She may even prefer kids over adults! Lily LOVES to play outside and is having a blast in the snow. While she’s still working on potty training, she’s making great progress and is eager to learn. She’s not a huge fan of the crate but trying hard everyday. With a little patience and encouragement, she’s sure to become the perfect addition to any family. If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate pup, Lily might just be the one for you! Hypnotized by this gorgeous girl? Apply to adopt at underdogrescueranch.com/adopt

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Kyan on Adopt-a-pet. The definition of best friend. Kyan "Ky" will follow you to the end of the earth if that's what you have planned. He's a ride or die pup with his humans, loves doggie friends, unknown cat behavior, gentle with kids, great walking partner, lap cuddler, movie buddy, office pal....he's got your back. Kyan is an escape artist, so someone that works from home, can take him to doggie day care, or has another dog in the home to keep him company would be the best fit for this pup. Please ask staff for more information on Mr. Houdini.

Story
My name is Odessa. I am a petite girl who is quite unique looking. I have eyes of different colors! I love people and attention, but I am quite shy. I love to take walks and explore my surroundings and am quite good on the leash. I play well with other dogs too. I enjoy car rides and am crate trained. Having another dog in the home would help me with my confidence. Story
Hello! My name is PooLou. I talk like a husky but I don't bark much. I have spent my life traveling the U.S. I love long walks and car rides. I have excellent leash manners and am an easy walker. I’m a friendly guy but I will chase small animals, so I need to be walked on a leash. I’m looking for a new home because I got into a fight with my brother I was living with. My foster mom has since got me neutered. I would do best in a house with no dogs and no cats. I’m looking for someone with an active lifestyle, since I’ve been out exploring daily my whole life. Running around the fenced in yard isn’t going to cut it. Age: 5 years Sex: Male - neutered Weight: 65 lbs Breed: My dad was a Great Pyrenees. My mother was a Rhodesian Ridgeback X Bluetick Hound X Black Mouth Cur x Husky X Blue Heeler X Catahoula
