Meet Daisy! She is a 4 month old pup (possibly husky mix, we are not sure, we did not see the parents). She is very small for her age, and just a bundle of energy! As with most puppies, she loves to play, run around and look for trouble! But she is also very sweet and cuddly! She is ready for her new home/family today! Breccia is a beautiful 2 year old, 60 lb, blue eyed Husky mix.   She loves adventures and friends! She can be active and go hiking or be a couch potato at home. She is a total BarK dog or a dog you can take anywhere with you. She loves toys and wrestling with her dog friends. She can be chatty like a husky but not overly vocal.    Breccia is the best dog with kids, all kids! She is a real people pleaser that aims to please. She loves her dog friends too but she is head over heels with a playful male dog! She is a flirt and prefers males over females when it comes to her furry companions.   She is nondestructive in a home and can be kenneled or left out. Fully Potty trained! She does not need a fence as she walks great on leash, but if you do have a fenced yard that works!   Breccia is a great dog, well mannered, good with people, kids, & other dogs.    If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Breccia’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Neo is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old husky.  He is housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs.  We are not sure about cats.  He loves his people and wants to be with them.  We are told he’s good with children but would likely be too much for toddlers.  He needs a fenced in yard but can climb a chain link but only seems to do it when trying to get to his people.  You would not be able to leave him outside without being able to come in and check on you.    He has a doggie door situation at his foster him where he can do this.  He would do best in a home where he has a high energy playmate or where someone can run or exercise him.  He can be dominate so tends to pick on the older and more submissive dogs in his foster home.  He’s affectionate and a good boy that needs the right home and someone who is familiar with huskies or have done their research on the breed.  If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. My name is Harley and I'm ready to have the BEST. SUMMER. EVER! You might not think I look like a summer girl and... well... yes and no. I mean, obviously, I'm a husky. We're snow dogs. But THIS summer is different. Because this is the summer I'm going to find my FOR.EV.ER HOME! I can't wait to see what kind of adventures I'll have! The holidays I'll celebrate! I'm 8 years old, but I've still got plenty of wonderful things ahead. I'm an excellent dog- great house manners, friendly with strangers (I'm not real sure about little eye-level kids, but bigger kids and adults are all cool with me!), super-affectionate and cuddly... just everything you'd want in a best friend. I haven't made any animal friends since I've been in the shelter, but I came from a home with another dog and a cat, so... I'm not ruling it out entirely. I'd be great solo, though- just my human and me. Or my humans and me. I'd be perfect for someone who wants a dog who isn't too young, too little, or too out-of-control wild. I mean, I am a husky, so I've still got brains and energy and the capacity for stubbornness. But I'm an adult. What have you got planned for the summer? If it's "make a new best friend," I think I may have you covered! Just come out and meet me.

Gwen is so cute and totally petite. She is definitely a little husky. She is a bit on the shy side and will need some love and reassurance to build her confidence. Don't we all? She is so wonderful and deserving of a fresh start with people who will help build her self esteem. She is good with other dogs too. What a handsome boy! Whitey is a happy goofball. He is fun, friendly and inquisitive, like any dog worth his salt would be. Whitey enjoys playing with other dogs and would be really happy playing with his special human too. Whitey is two years old and weighs 50 pounds.The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended.
