Meet Luca who is an all white male pomsky. He is about 1 year old and weighs about 22 lbs. Luca came to the rescue from a farm, where he was living in a horse stall with 11 other dogs. Due to lack of socialization, he is very shy around people, but loves other dogs. Although he hasn't been playing with the resident dogs, Luca needs to have another friendly dog in his forever home to help him continue to learn how to be a dog. Because of his flight risk, Luca requires a secure, physically fenced yard. Luca is finally beginning to learn what the good life is like. He just recently started running in the grass and playing with toys. Luca LOVES to play fetch! He is crated during the day and even hangs out in the crate at times when he feels like it. Luca has actually been sleeping with his human foster and cuddles close, as long as she doesn't look at him. Although Luca is doing well with potty training, he does need a lot of work with leash walking, as he was never on a leash before. At this time we do not know how Luca is with children or cats. He will need a very patient adopter that understands that it will take awhile for him to adjust and warm up. Luca is making steady progress with confidence and becoming more social every day, but he still has a ways to go. ##2056436##

Siku is a very handsome guy who loves everyone! He has been around many kids of different ages and has not had any issues with them. He would do great in a home with no small animals as he has a high prey drive.He does well with other dogs but prefers to be separated from them when it is time to eat. He is very smart and knows many fun tricks! His happy place is with his humans. He enjoys going on walks but one of his most favorite thing is going for car rides! Chinook the Shepsky came to us well traveled: He was born in the Westbank, Palestine, as a stray but luckily was taken into the Bethlehem Animal Shelter from which he was adopted to Quebec City, Canada but then no longer wanted. So through European friends working in Animal Welfare he was connected with us and transported here on his 1st birthday. Chinook has the energy of a husky and the smarts of a shepherd so he is looking for an active home. He LOVES people and especially children; he an amazing dog, very very sweet and a total snuggle bug, he's a total leaner and has yet to meet a stranger, but he does need outlets for his energy. He'd make a wonderful running, hiking or trail riding partner. He's gotten used to chickens, ducks, goats and horses but is not yet to be trusted around cats and smaller animals, so he would do best in a household without cats and smaller pets. He loves and gets along really well with dogs! He's actually never been an only dog so we're not sure how he would cope with being all alone. He doesn't necessarily need a yard if his new home will provide him the necessary exercise; he also doesn't necessarily need a fence as long as the property is big enough for him to roam without getting in trouble. Here at the rescue ranch he keeps our property free of wildlife and has evicted all coyotes, while he roams our property he never runs away and always stays closeby. We walk him off leash and again he roams but doesn't run away and will always come right back.August 18, 2024, 9:04 pm
