Story
We have had Olli since she was a puppy. She was raised with small breed dogs and gets along best with smaller dogs or dogs that are not pushy. She doesn’t mind small kids but will keep her distance. She is scared to walk on hardwood floors. She is perfectly house and crate trained. She knows a few commands; sit, stay, come, pay and down. She does not jump, or try to run away if outside without a leash. She will come back to you if you say ‘come’. She loves to spend time outside in our fenced backyard and uses a doggy door. She loves to dig holes and sleep in them. We are rehoming her because we feel like she needs a better quality of life. She spends most of her time alone outside or downstairs away from the kids.

Story
Meet Jack! Jack loves to learn! He loves mental stimulation, like Kongs and going on sniffy walks. He would also make the best running partner. Jack enjoys playing with other dogs. He loves playing chase. Jack has more of an introverted personality, but he has made quite a few friends here at the shelter. We've known him to be very sweet and playful with his human friends. He is such a sweetheart, and can't wait to be in a home where he can bloom into his full self! Ask about Jack today! We recommend Jack to be housed with no children. Jack has an independent personality and prefers patience and guidance to help him make his own decisions. We like to be transparent about our dogs' pasts. Jack has a bite on record. We will share details with any interested adopter. We do not adopt out Huskies to cat or chicken homes due to the likelihood of them having a high prey drive. Jack is current on all his age appropriate vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 55 Age: 3yrs 11mths 1wks

Story
Luna is 2 1/2 years old and the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. She is great with kids and loves attention. She does okay with other animals but she is scared at first and it will take her a little bit to warm up to them. She doesn’t have any bit of aggression in her. She is crated trained as well as house trained. She just wants a human to give her all the attention and be with her. ** I am only rehoming due to my work schedule and I can’t leave her out of the crate while I’m working **

Story
NOKI IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED! Husky lovers meet Noki! He is a very energetic, extremely happy, heartworm negative boy who is looking for his forever home. Last October, a good Samaritan was notified of a dog that had been dumped on a backroad and needed help. This good Samaritan took him in to begin his new chapter of his life. He went straight to the bath (which he did amazing in). It's very obvious whoever had him before was not kind to him like his new foster. He wouldn't walk into a room if he saw a man standing there. He didn't seem to know much about being inside or even how to be a dog for that matter. His foster would give him a bone, and he would just rub his face on it; she would turn on the tv, and he would run and hide behind the couch. He wanted so bad to be around people, but he didn't understand how to go about it. Fast forward to 6 months later, Noki has completely transformed! Yes, he still has some ways to go, but he is a totally different dog than the one found dumped on a backroad last year. He has never met a dog that he didn't like. He isn't picky either about his dog friends; they can be bigger or smaller as long as they want to play with him! He's still learning how to walk politely on the leash; he tends to pull out of pure excitement of seeing all the new sites! We are still working on crate training as well. Being a husky, he is very vocal at times, especially if he doesn't agree with the situation. He goes in the crate politely, and he will quiet down after a bit, but he will sure let you know he feels about it for a bit. All of that said, as soon as he sees you coming to get him, he gets so excited waiting for his next adventure with you. Please consider opening up your home to this goofy, loving, and resilient dog who is just searching for a place to finally call home.  Noki is completely vetted and ready for adoption! He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and current on prevention. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Noki up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Noki here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
We adopted Sage from the shelter in march to be a companion for our senior dog. She is a 9 year old chow chow mix. We live in an apartment and have realized that she is an outside dog. She thrives in an outdoor yard, and unfortunately we just don’t have that for her. She is house trained, good with cats who are relaxed, and loves to play. She loves people and can walk on a leash, although she is strong if she pulls for any reason. She was slow to warm up to other dogs, but after about 2 weeks she was good with our other dog. She has a skin condition that makes her paws itchy we have been looking for the right medication for her. She is restless indoors, and thrives being outside. I believe she would make a good guard dog as she is very loyal. I havent tested how she is off leash, but I think she would probably do alright seeing as she likes to be around people. I would hate to have to give her back to the shelter because she is truly a wonderful dog.
